Sounds like there's a self-contained siren connected outside somewhere, but the panel is set to audio driver output.

Hi , do you know the software / program I can use to upload changes to nx-series panels? An ex work colleague used to use his laptop to program nx panels with a usb/data tap cable. I think it was helpful mainly to enter long zone names.

*44 does a siren test, alot better than arming and then setting sensors off.

Looks like the zone is programmed incorrectly, if you tripped the PIR, and the alarm sounded, after you armed to stay...
Time to call for service.
