Your video on this issue is top notch. Thank you for sharing and helping out the rest of your Infiniti brothers 😎 Dealer wanted $175 just for inspection, I’m sure the rest would of been an arm and a leg.
I did it today. It worked perfectly for me. The snake was out of stock at Lowes. Got it from ACE for $8.99. I tried very stout weed eater line first. It was a no go. I think the twisting action of the snake did the trick. Thanks! Saved me a bunch of money!
Thank you for this video! Water leaked on my passenger side floor. I couldn't figure it out until i came across your video. Do you have the link for that exact tool or how many feet do I need?
Glad you found the vid helpful. All I can tell you is it is the smallest snake Lowes makes. The snake already comes like 10 feet long wound up. You will insert it probably like 4 -5 feet in.
Hey get 3-4 feet rubber hose small a can of compressed air. Feed the house through the opening push deep rotate if gets stuck. At the opening use compressed air to add pressure through the system.
I’m not a proponent of compressed air into the sunroof drainage tubes. They are relatively delicate and have been known to disconnect with air pressure. Then you have to take the whole pillars and dash board apart to fix it.
Infiniti is literally criminal. How is this not a factory issue when all their infinities since 2006 have been having these leak issues. It's mind blowing that you pay lik 40k+ for these cars, and it's a fucking 3 dollar cap THAT THEY KNOW ABOUT, but refuse to fix because they keep gouging customers with $1,200 repair fees. Utter crap car company, how unfortunate.
Yep. It’s def the holes on the sunroof. There are two in the back on the corners. Shove the snake in there all the way down and start twisting and jiggling it gently. Should unclog. Could test before and after by pouring a bottle of water in there too to see if it’s draining appropriately. The snake is the thinnest one they sell at Lowes. Good luck.
@@xyz4484604ok perfect im dealing with this same exact issue with my Infiniti FX35. I’ve been seeing people take apart their interior etc when I feel there’s no need for that
Yeah I saw those extensive take apart repair jobs too. I used my trick with the snake and never had a problem again. It’s been dry inside the car for over a year now. 👍. Just twist the snake and shake it real good once it gets to the firewall and it should dislodge the debris and let the tube drain.

👏👏👏Glad to hear my video saved you some money! Thanks for the feedback.
Bro they wanted $1450.00 today! Smh!!! Headed to Home depot now!!! Thanks for your video I'll give it a try.
Good luck man! I hope it works for you too! Let me know!
I followed this video, got it all squared away. Thanks for the vid!
Glad to hear it worked!
For those looking for this tool in Colorado, Lowes doesn't carry it anymore. Nor does home depot. But I found it at ace hardware.
Found it at Ace as well.
Thanks bro i just did it to my q50 the same exact item at lowes worked like a charm.😊

Omg I’ve been going through this for 2 years , got to go get one thank you
Omg I just discovered this problem with my car is leaking in the back as well as the driver seat. Took it to infinity and they wanted $1300 to fix it.

Gonna be doing a more detailed video as to how to get to those garments on the fire wall
We're is the hole on the q40. I'm having the same issue and help locating the drain holes in the sunroof.
Right smack in the corners.

Just got quoted $2010 from Infiniti. I think they need to do a class action law suit. My car has mold in it now making my kid sick. So mad.
@@ShannaBananaa yeah mine has that disgusting mildew smell in the carpet which becomes very noticeable when it becomes humid during a rainstorm.
Any problems with motor? What mileage you at?
No problems with motor. At 69k miles.
My backseat left passenger floor has water all over can it be that the holes are clogged on the sunroof? I also have a q50

@@NoRepsLeftBehindI am having the same problem after a bad rain storm. Did the snake technique work for you?

Any updates just did my car today with the front haven't checked the back yet tho
Dammm wish you had a video for the back drain, I don’t know how to get to it, I have water on the floor behind the drivers seat
The back drains are in the corners. You just have to thread that snake into the corner until you find the hole. Good luck. It is harder tho
What is the name and brand of the snake
What is the name of the tool? Not at my Lowe’s
@@12MokaMoka12 order a 1/8th inch snake from Amazon.
I poured water on my sunroof and it’s draining from all 4 wheels. What do you think the issue might be coming from?
Where did you get the snake from?
Lowes for $8
It’s the smallest diameter one they make at Lowes.
Does it have to be 1/8? Can it be 1/4?
1/8 fits it perfectly.

@@VllBEZ oh, dam. Yeah you were supposed to take that off. That’s the protective cap for the snake when it comes brand new.
Omw to lowes right now lol
Anyone know the name of the snake?
1/8th inch snake.
I just did this today my hose came a loose from the sunroof water all in my car
Dang. Yeah the rubber hosing inside those columns is delicate.
