      @@HubCityDrones thanks for that and I'll be looking forward to that video too!!! Are you still considering doing a distance test on this f11 gim 2? I would really like to see how the distance works with the video and if it really does go 9800 ft away!!!

    • @HubCityDrones
      @HubCityDrones  2 года назад +1

      Hoping I can do that in a few days as well it's been crazy windy here lately I can tell you I have gotten to 5800ft away comfortably but then I started getting a little interference (video freezing) so I didn't push it lol! It will go 9800ft but you would have to be somewhere completely open (desert, field ect.) Where there is Absolutely nothing for the video transmission signal not to hit or bounce off of (mountains, buildings, cell towers, high voltage lines) the Drone am using now (Zino Pro Plus) has an 8K range 26,000 some odd feet almost 5 miles haven't tried that yet but it has a better chance of going that far because it doesn't use a normal wifi signal to connect to your phone it has it's own FPV program called Syncleas it's almost identical to DJI's technology without the DJI price lol! So I feel pretty confident this Drone will be the one to break my long range "comfort zone"

      @@HubCityDrones Really appreciate your videos on drones, and the details you often go into. Too many others doing reviews, seem 'to assume' we all know a lot of the details, when many of us beginners or relative newcomers 'don't know' these things. Like another said, I have the HS175D drone as my first (real) drone. I love it, but wish it was more stable in winds. Guess it's the physics of a 220 gram drone....maybe? Thinking of an upgrade for Christmas (for myself). You and others often rave about Holy Stone's Customer Service as being very responsive and easy to deal with. Any other companies you can extol with similar admirable Customer Service, which might lead me to buy their drone, instead of HS (thinking about the HS720E as next step up for me). I'm not a guy who'll spend over $500 dollars for a drone, until possibly in the future when I'm much more accomplished and comfortable flying them. Thanks. Don

    • @HubCityDrones
      @HubCityDrones  2 года назад +5

      Great first drone.. .first the nervousness will go away hell I still get nervous when I fly, keep it in beginner mode for the first battery then shut off beginner mode and just take it slow until you get use to everything it is honestly super easy to learn and fly. The most Important Read that manual! Also TRY to remember that it is a GPS Drone so it has the Fail Safe Features if at any point your feeling uncomfortable don't hesitate to hit the RTH (Return To Home) button , make sure to calibrate it compass and gyros (Flat Level Surface) and fly it somewhere that is nice and open remember Power Lines and Cell Towers will effect the Transmitter & wifi signal. I would also recommend downloading the UAV app it packed with useful weather information like KP'S I never fly if the KP Index is higher than 4 KP's are an invisible Geometric storm that can really affect GPS satellite signals if they are to high it can cause the drone to get confused as to where it is and were it took off from other than that my friend get that dam Drone off your table and go have some fun!!! Let me know how it goes and Please Don't Hesitate to send me a message if you need help with Anything.

    Ok guy, I'm dandahermit. New sub cause you had what I needed. I'm subbed to several flyers an my usual go to for full details like you do very well is Pete at at RC Escape. I have the SJRC F 11 S 4 K pro 3,000 meter version. I want to learn in the Geo fenced speed 1 beginners mode because my greatest fear is a fly away. I'm 80 yrs old and not up to long hikes to hunt for a drone. I'd like to see a video on this topic to learn. I live up in the mountains. This was one of the best reviews I've seen because you included so much detail I needed. The manual that came with my bird is bout the size of a match book in micro print. I been studying for bout 2 years collecting some really choice models but been in the hospitals with freakin cancer and now I'm hoping to get to fly them. I will be following your channel. A drone I bought that I really like is a Bayang Toys X 21 double GPS and it's app is gone from the play store ( I'm Android) what do I do?? Do you know?? Also wish I could get the manual cause mine is gone . Calibrating is difficult.I know it is a great bird. Pete got 530 meters in the desert where he flys. I messed up my.cslibrstiom.snd had a fly away. Friends found it for me. It shows number of satellites squired. Glad I found your channel. Dan

    This is a great drone for the price, thanks for the thorough review. The WiFi signal you are connecting the phone is coming from the transmitter, not the drone. That is why you don't see the WiFi signal until the transmitter is on. Also the reason they can achieve such long range FPV. WiFi cannot go anywhere near the range of this drone. The drone and the transmitter exchange the flight controls and FPV video signal via the 2.4GHz signal then the transmitter sends it the short range to your phone via WiFi.

    • @BigPapiMark1
      @BigPapiMark1 8 месяцев назад

      Absolute bullshit!! You don’t have the slightest clue wtf you’re talking about. The fact is that Ruko lied about how the remote worked and lied about the range it had because the drone was connecting directly to the phone and not through the remote as claimed. That’s why they had to come out with an updated remote that connected to the phone via usb cable. Any drone that uses a wireless connection from a phone to the remote remote will have a very short limited range because it’s limited to the phones WiFi range limitations. All drones that have long ranges use a wired connection from the phone/tablet to the remote

      To download them straight from the drone turn on the drone and the controller then open the App and connect the to the drones WiFi then open the App and go to the album on the App (looks like a play button under the pic/rec button on the right hand side of the app) if I remember right there should be a little SD Card icon in the upper right hand corner of the App tap and it should show you the videos that the drone recorded to the SD Card if you see the videos you can tap the download button and the videos will download to your phones album (in 4K) it takes a little while for them to download and you have keep the drone and stay connected to the WiFi here's the tricky part lol! The Drone will automatically power itself off after a few mins of just being in idle I put the drone in altitude mode and unlock the motors ever 3 or 4 mins this will keep the drone from Powering off keep doing it until your video(s) have finished downloading to your phone, if you try this and you don't see your videos there I would probably reach to Ruko customer service and tell them what's going on they are really good at taking care of their customers if they can't figure it out it could just be a bad SD card Slot and then they will most likely send you a new Drone (I hope it doesn't come to thst) also I have to ask (because I had viewer's do this before) you did hit the record button on the app or controller right lol! No joke I had a guy messaging me for help one time and then he realized he never hit record lol lol!

    What happens if someone calls your phone while your flying ?

    • @HubCityDrones
      @HubCityDrones  2 года назад +1

      Nothing you could actually answer the phone and the drone will just hover and wait for you lol! But if you put your phone in "Do Not Disturb" mode you have yo worry about it!!!

    • @HubCityDrones

      Absolutely but you won't have the FPV View or the trajectory flight or follow me features you can still take video and pictures as long as you have an SD card in the Drone

    • @HubCityDrones
      @HubCityDrones  4 месяца назад +1

      @grtexas4741 do it before you open the app! Airplane will turn your wifi off on your phone so after you put your phone into airplane mode make sure you turn your wifi back on, then connect to the Drones wifi signal and then open the app and see if that helps, it's notnansure thing but for whatever reason it works most of the time, if that doesn't work I would unistall the app and then teinstall it!

    Total noob here....or Drone Dummy if ya want. My GIM2 must be a newer generation since this video. My controller looks totally different. Off to a bad start....I cannot figure out how to connect my phone to the controller. I've had this drone for a few weeks and did get it off the ground....barely. But haven't been able to get my phone into the equation.

    • @HubCityDrones
      @HubCityDrones  5 месяцев назад +1

      You actually connect your phone to the drone, power on your drone once the drone and controller are paired open your phones wifi settings and look for the wifi signal the Drones is omitting, it should have a said name with the word "GIM" in it, Tap on it to connect to it, you might get a pop-up telling you that your connected without internet, select connect anyway! After you are successfully connected open the Drones app and you should be able to see a live video connection from the dro es camera, if you can't get connected try putting your phone in "airplane mode " and then connect to the Drones wifi signal again and re-open the app to see if you have a live video feed

      @HubCityDrones Not sure about that. My newer generation, I'm to connect my phone to the controller via USB C chord :^( Can't get anywhere with this thing. I do appreciate you posting very quickly on this!!

    • @HubCityDrones
      @HubCityDrones  5 месяцев назад

      @offtherealm5438 you should just have to connect the USB (make sure it connected in the right port on the controller and the USB cord probably has a picture or the words controller or phone on the ends of make sure they are plugged in right too) wait for the controller and phone to pair to your drone and then open the app, if your using an android phone and get a popup select charge only.

      @offtherealm5438 5 месяцев назад

      @HubCityDrones I don't take it wrong. I'm a total noob here. That is the drone I have. Seems my brand new version has to keep the cable connected. Vlogs, forums, instruction manuals all assured it was very user friendly.....it has been everything but! As a new person to drones its been very frustrating....everyone assumes these things are common knowledge and obvious....but they are not. All resources even skipped how to unfold the darn thing and how to shut the propellers off.

      Congrats on your new Drone flying it for the first time will be nerve racking but try to remember it is a GPS Drone and they really are super easy to fly and Control, Read Your Manual a few times then the first time you put that dude in the air just let it hover and play with the joystick so you can get a feel for it then take it up and out a few feet and try the return to Home feature (RTH) all though it can be hard for your first few flight try to remember that the drone has all kinds of fail safe feature so if you lose sight of it or feel uncomfortable about anything don't hesitate to hit that RTH button another good thing to do is let the drone hover and take your time and check out everything on the app remember it's GPS so it will NOT fly away on you, find a nice open area and just go for it and have Fun! Let me know how it goes and yes you can Absolutely send me any questions you may have I always respond to my viewer's questions if emailing me is easier my email address is in my channel description! Have fun out there and Stay Safe!

    the remote looks like a straight rip off of the original dji mavic..which is a good thing if the insides are the same... but it's not. no occusync.. i've sent my original mavic pro 22k ft 5 miles.. i checks amazon.. they have a ton of spare parts for this drone.. complete arms with motors.. batteries are a little high. Cheapest drone i have is a DJI mini... once i went from Hubsan 501s to DJI.. it's hard going down to this intermediatte grade.. but way above a toy.

      Make sure that you gave it turned on, in the App settings (little gear wheel upper right hand corner) there is a setting where you can turn off the warning notifications and voice prompts. I can't recall off hand exactly where it is but it is in there just dig around and you'll see it, don't take this wrong but make sure your volume is all the way up, also if your doing a screen recording of the App on your phone you may not hear her talk but you will hear her in the recording, otherwise if none of that works I would uninstall the app re-install it and make sure you give that permission to everything it is asking you for! Hope this helps.
