@penpocket88 Tommy is the brother of Fred Ferrara. Both were in the Del Satins, who backed up Dion when he left the Belmonts and went solo. Fred sang for many years (decades) with Johnny Maestro & the Brooklyn Bridge, right up until Johnny's passing.
I admire Frank Reina and Mike Minciel for continuing to perform after Nick's retirement. But this is how I want to remember the Capris--big, powerful and a great bunch of guys--guys we would want to go to high school with and gather with them down at the drive-in or diner.
Got to MC Capris once and Brooklyn Bridge many times in NY Harbor. Fred and Tom and Frank were typical NY gentlemen. Also knew Frank from airfreight business in JFK. Down to earth stars
Awesome find here by catlarry! I think I recall the Soundstage performances, but I'm not sure? At any rate, let's not forget the fabulous musicians backing The Capris and others in these Soundstage performances!
I have the compete 1983 video with the Harptones etc. every group here is at the top of there vocal game. "THERE IS A MOON OUT AGAIN" by the CAPRIS Gets me everytime!!!

The Capris At The Best....Top Of There Form
The Capris are the best. Morse Code is one of the best Doo Wop songs ever---even though it was not releaed during the great Doo Wop era.

An interesting narrative.
Tommy Ferrara is the bass singer with the glasses on
None of them are wearing glasses.
I'm surprised Billy Joel hasn't recorded more songs like these
Billy Joel doing a capella? Um, no.
@penpocket88 You are correct. Any idea what he's doing now?
👍
If wasn't completed until the 1980's
Just like before

I wonder if sha Na
I wonder if Sha Na Na recorded this
Manhattan Transfer has a great version
Who is the white guy with glasses at the beginning?
His name is Mary Pekar. He produced The Capris Ambient Sound album There's A Moon Out Again back in 1982
My bet: it's Marty; not Mary [ 2023].
