You didn't include Summer Jam, that one was cool! I think GMA Rehearsals were live (she did two times) and probably 2:42 was also live, u can hear a little crack at the very beginning. The rest I'm sure they're all lipped.
If I'm honest, I know that most of the whistles (or maybe all of them) are lipped or pre-recorded but I don't care, i mean... IT'S MARIAH CAREY, she's the queen, what does the rest matter?
You also hear small lil gasps here and there, I would have to hear with headphones tho. Also keep in mind the top whistle is layered on top of prerecorded harmonies (added for depth). Therefore it seems as it's all part of a pre-recorded piece but it's probably not. Others such as this 1:34 are pre-recorded, (only that part) it sounds too much if not identical to the original, but the whistle runs prior to that were live. She may do an all live like the example you stated, or do a combination of live and pre-recorded ending. It's kinda funny to me honestly 😂 cause she can pull an all live whistle run easily but I guess she does it to preserve her voice or to add thos super agile runs for dramatic effect.
Gma Rehearsal was actually live and the C#7 run from American Idol was too. 2014 Shanghai was the only other time she really attempted it. Rest are just outright lipped.
@@MarshallHi but they are. Besides the Fourth of July performance, which let’s be realistic because she lipped Hero the same day, the other performances use either the 2013-2015 playback or the 2016-2020 playback, and I don’t think she ever used any others.
Im still alive everyone don’t worry 😅
Good 😌
@2:00 you can actually see her throat pushing those heavenly notes. O.O
This is so difficult to execute ..only queen mariah can do ...and no one else...this is Savage vocals
0:55 wow double🥺
Twice?????? Wow!
0:50 is the coolest one
Literally RUNNING in whistle. Never heard that kind of agility in whistle before.
0:15 that part 💖💖💖

The first one is iconic and the best! Then the third one when she hit the final run twice! Queen!

2:41 you can hear a little crack before the whistle.

all these whistles were lipped or live? sorry if i sound stupid jsjdkfkgkg
i guess some are lipped
Almost all of them are live, but there are definitely pre-recorded whistles. I love her anyway
most complex whistle
What is the name of the song
#beautiful
Now in the comment section i see a debate of it being live or lipped. My question is 2:42 live?
i believe she only does the last G#6 live
Around 2:49 - 2:51 you hear volume differences when she separates from the mic, so I think live :)

It's live, she started higher
Lipped
Which are live tho?
None of them😭😂
@@YoungArtistyeah a few are live... but not very many
Out of these only the GMA Rehearsal one was live. She also tried them in Shanghai 2014 as well as the C#7 run in American Idol
Song? :0
Are you kidding? It's right there in the title: #beautiful aka the platinum selling, top 15 hit single off her 2014 album, The Elusive Chanteuse.

All of them were playback.
She sang along the pre recorded back in 2013.

@@Solo-vh9fm I beg to differ about the rest being lipped
