This is my second favorite "The Office" moment. My very favorite is in the last episode when Michael Scott comes back for Dwight's wedding, and the very first thing to come out of his mouth is "that's what she said" I didn't know sad laughter was possible until that moment.
Those are in my top 3, but the best has to be Michael's last day. Literally the second I realized the whole office worked together to make a musical parody for Michael, I started crying. I couldn't imagine a better gift on his last day, and the song was perfect, "Remember to Call." All Michael ever wanted was to be friends with everyone, and in most of the show, he was just a boss to them, but in the end when all is said and done, everyone was so sincere in wanting to remain friends with him and stay in touch. Then seeing Michael confirm that it would hurt like a motherfucker was the cherry on top. Such feels.
The last episode IMO was probably the best episode. That episode tied up all loose end and Jim and Dwight finally became friends. At the end when Michael showed up to be the best man was perfect.

Yep, it's what made the show unique and legendary. Like on the scene with Jim and Michael (on goodbye michael episode) in which they recorded just once (if I remember correctly) and both John and Steve as well as the crew were all tearing up. It doesn't get more real than that. I don't tear up easily, but The Office can easily make you feel like a school girl if you watch it from the beggining.

Third, it lets every other actor in the show have a moment with their pasts with Andy. It’s so complex and yet so simple and touching: I think it must be one of the greatest scenes in television comedy, and it reminds you that comedy can be just as enriching as drama and tragedy 👌🏻 Excuse me, I’m going to watch it again

This show had so many amazing moments. Jim and Pam getting married on the boat. Michael proposing to Holly. Even the moments that broke our hearts like Jim kissing Pam at the end of season 2 while she was still with Roy and Michael and Jim saying goodbye. We laughed and cried with these characters. And during this song we're saying goodbye. This scene had all the elements that made The Office so great. It had the funny (yes I still find Andy calling Jim 'Tuna' funny, but this time it was sad too because it was the last time), it had those subtle looks between characters that are so small yet tell so much, it had so much emotion, and it had heart. I love The Office dearly, and whenever I think about how there'll never be a new episode of this show to watch again, I die a little inside, but then I'm happy because there's so many good memories to go back and relive. After the trainwreck that was season 8, the farewell season was an amazing comeback and a glorious, magnificent ending. RIP The Office. I will remember you.
For me, this is the most emotional moment in the office. Just finished watching the final season, and this scene has been stuck in my head for the whole day. "It's just a really nice song."
when watching this, i realized that i would never get to any more funny Jim and Dwight pranks, micheals "thats what she said", Dwights Remarks, No more " Tuna ", this was it... the end of an amazing series :,(
I cried so much at this scene! It's not only because andy said his goodbye but mostly because It was the last season and I'll never watch the office for the "first" time.
I am kinda happy they included David Wallace character in this clip. He was there to make some serious changes related to company, heard many complaints from Michael Scott over the phone and I somehow view him as a father of all of them - even Michael`s.
My girlfriend just broke up with me. She introduced me to the US version of the office, her being American and me being a Brit. We're still talking and stuff but it doesn't feel like there's a lot of hope now. So we'll probably disconnect, and I'll come back here in 10 years and watch this and wonder how she's doing and what could've been.
Love this scene, love the show, the ending. The only thing I hate is the fact that they ruined Andy's character. I'm not bothered him and Erin never ended up, but they made him completely unlikable and that's didn't do justice to his character.
+mkfge7 He had such great development as well, he was one of the most likable characters, especially in the episode where he gets the tattoo as an incentive. Then after that everything went down the pan and he became an ass, there was a lot of wasted potential
That's exactly what I thought! That episode where he gets a tattoo is one of my favorites. I honestly didn't think the show would fare well after Steve Carell's exit but Andy held the show together in the 8th season. But suddenly they decide to ruin Andy in the last season. Don't know why they did that. The last season sucked and was really awkward to watch.
Totally agree. The tattoo episode and also the episode where they find Robert California's "winners and losers" list and he sits there and tells RC all the good qualities of the "losers". He was such a brilliant character at times and unbearable at others.
Slick M but remember in the 8th season when he was the manager he was really nice but his sudden change in the 9th season was a shocker! If he had that personality right from the start when he became the manager it would have made sense. The 'canned tuna' line was sick tho!
This song made me cry when I watched the episode.. It made me think about my own life and how I should make the most of it. "Dont let your life pass you by".
The look from Erin always moves me. It reminds me of how she used to look at Andy when she was in love with him. Too bad that sweet relationship got ruined by the writers towards the end.
I tried to recreate that moment when I left my last team, the tears simply exploded out of my eyes. That is the way The Office always gets me. Greetings from Germany!
It's Shura Schmidt. But it's not my name. He is a character from "Golden Calf" ("Золотой телёнок") by Ilf&Petrov ("Ильф и Петров", russian writers). The picture is from the same named movie.
I think this is the only time in the whole show that Andy sang without his annoyingly exaggerated voice cracks and vibrato and truly displayed his real talent. It kinda speaks to how he hid behind a facade of obnoxious confidence when he sang all the time, but now he has a chance to perform from the heart and everyone wants to listen to him he drops the bullshit and shows his genuinely beautiful voice. Just my opinion
This scene gave me feels. I have to admit. I always liked Andy. Always seeking acknowledgement from his friends because inside he always felt small. In later season's they showed how his father's treatment of him affected his personality. This scene and also the bit in the last episode when all those people are lined up to meet the cast. And they see Andy and start shouting Roo doo doo dooooo. Oh man. Brings tears. And he gave the best quote about life when he said something like 'I wish we had a way to know we are in the good ol' days when we're in them'. Best character ever.
One of the best episodes of the entire series. The best part about the Office was it's ability to go from comedy to a dramatic moment without missing a beat.
Moments like these are what make The Office so special. I cried so hard when I heard this for the first time. This scene and Andy's singing is absolutely beautiful.
This... this right here is what the office did better than any other show of the type. It always knew how to take a pause from the humour, and show the human and emotional side perfectly. God i miss it.
Just finished this for the first time. I actually cried lol. I got so attached to these characters and their story, I felt like I was in the office growing with them all. Sounds lame, but screw the haters. The Office is probably the greatest show I've ever watched
what sucked was the fact that he didnt sing this at the audition and blabbered some crap at the auditions.. good part was that his drama at the auditions got viral
i totally agree , The way the show was made , makes you really feel you are a part of the office and you feel so touched by each one's story so at the end you even wonder how life will go on fro m now on. Sad and so beautiful at the same time ,
I cry like a bitch because of this moment. The way Andy was picking his dream, than job, than dream again... The way he was a bit too much that day for everyone... Especially when he came back with the guitar to sing this song. Everyone was just rolling their eyes, he was really too much not welcomed. But somehow he insisted and performed. And it was SOOOO big, it was so damn talented, that everyone just got stoned. It is very powerful. I cry because I see myself in Andy. Every little detail about this guy is so much about me. And I feel.every turn of his life like my own. This is a very emotional moment for me personally. But the scene is amazingly strong and true on so many levels that it's hard not to cry. Andy is really talented and Ed Helms is an amazing actor and musician. The Office is so much more than the Friends for me. I cried when the friends were done but I replayed this song literally tens of times and cryied like a kid. It's powerful. Thanks for The Office.
Cried my eyes out watching this. The song, the lyrics, everyone's reaction to it, the realization of me as a fan/viewer that the show is almost over... Goddamn it this hurts every single time.
Dwight: "The problem is Michael is afraid of the Mafia. What if Michael doesn't have that fear?" Andy: "Are you saying that we should remove the pain center in Michael's brain?"
It's all so good. The fact that Andy was hated due to his stick up to the boss attitude in the beginning. I'm surprised how they build his character. It's all so perfect. I can't imagine anyone else playing Andy except for Ed Helms. Andy and Erin - Well, they obviously didn't end up together. Else it would have been another Jim and Pam replica (receptionist and salesman). The moral is you don't get everything as you expect in your life. Sometimes you just wait for the best things to happen. Andy getting his dream job at Cornell and ending up the show with the quote "I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them" is way better than just Andy and Erin being together. This show was perfect!
Ed is, and always will be, a tremendous performer. I don't know why Andy never sounded this good until the end. I guess they wanted him to go out with a bang. Ed's band, The Lonesome Trio, has a song called "Whiskey Drink." Makes me cry every time I hear it. As does this. The Office will forever be missed. :'(
This clip gets me every time this show means a lot to me, I never loved a show like the office I would finish the whole show then immediately start over and it's funny and heartwarming every time I don't think any other show can do the same ever
i just finished and i am watchng it again , it s like i dont want it to finish , lot of things that happened in the show actually happen in the real life , and you always keep wondering if . wonderful show
Andy was one of the best! Didn't care for his character at first but overtime he freaking won me over. Ed Helms made the character brilliant and with this song ya see how talented he really is. This one hits hard.
I think the saddest episode was when Michael left he did not have it in him to say goodbye to everyone, only Jim found out and Pam I always wondered what Pam told Michael when they took their audio equipment off in the airport?
Actually the directors asked her to go and talk to Steve off the record (Just Steve and Jenna, not Pam and Michael) about how she felt about him and how much she was gonna miss him, and it took her about 5-6 mins in doing so and then they asked her to do it again (As Pam this time) in less than 2 minutes
Binge watched this in straight 2 weeks. Yet now I feel, like how I greedily gobbled up this magically wonderful exotic cake, when i should have savoured it slowly until my last breath. And all I am left with now, is this eternal bittersweet aftertaste.
I just finished the office for the first time... I don't know what to do with my life now....
Oh god! I remember that feeling! Be strong! It will pass!
I feel you brother/sister :) I've probably watched every season 8+ times now, always a bit sad when the last episode is over!
Really?!?! Were you able to make it this long without anybody spoiling it for you?!
Just rewatch it, it stays golden.

It’s so complex and yet so simple and touching: I think it must be one of the greatest scenes in television comedy, and it reminds you that comedy can be just as enriching as drama and tragedy 👌🏻 Excuse me, I’m going to watch it again
Well said
That look that Erin gives him...intense love
I don't think anyone had to act in this scene. It looked like it was raw emotion. I love this scene. :
How can a comedy show make me cry?
Years passed, but Andy singing this song never fails to get into my heart❤️
I get goosebumps before I even played the video. This is just about the only show that made me really care and feel for the characters.
They're just so real and so easy to be invested in.
Watch How I met your mother! The show is also great like this one
+ilovepie513 not even close
Sons Of Anarchy did the same for me
Nope, wait....yeah I teared up during this scene.
Right? :'(
Such a good song
Who didn't?
Me too
Me too , idk what to do in life
One of the best scenes in the whole show, perfect good bye from one of the best characters, perfect song
Lyric: I will remember you, will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by,
Weep not for the memories
Remember the good times that we had?
I let them slip away from us when things got bad.
How clearly I first saw you smilin' in the sun
Want to feel your warmth upon me
I want to be the one
I will remember you, will you remember me?
(Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories) x2
Couldn't have been said better this show could never be replicated
Five years later I'm reading ur comment and crying
One of the best scenes ever in The Office, and the best show I've ever watched
Go nard dog you may not have been the perfect replacement but still you were the boss for 2 whole season's
For me, this is the most emotional moment in the office. Just finished watching the final season, and this scene has been stuck in my head for the whole day.
"It's just a really nice song."
If Stanley Stands Up To Appreciate... it's a really nice performance 💖
I always forget that Andy and Angela were engaged
yeah near the end its as if they barely know eachother
So did Angela!
when watching this, i realized that i would never get to any more funny Jim and Dwight pranks, micheals "thats what she said", Dwights Remarks, No more " Tuna ", this was it... the end of an amazing series :,(
That's why it's our duty to make these jokes in the real world!
Christopher Nasif I've been keeping "That's what she said" alive
lolbrunopt woo hoo! lol
finished it for the first time yesterday.. sentimental now :P not many shows i get that with
please don't, it's still too emotional for all of us. And come to think of it, there is a lot of people who neer even saw the show.
0:58 I got the impression that it was at this exact moment that Erin remembered the Andy she really loved
Screw her, she couldn't live without having sex for three months
funny how the expression only can make us all feel this one thing
I cried so much at this scene! It's not only because andy said his goodbye but mostly because It was the last season and I'll never watch the office for the "first" time.
I am kinda happy they included David Wallace character in this clip.
He was there to make some serious changes related to company, heard many complaints from Michael Scott over the phone and I somehow view him as a father of all of them - even Michael`s.
Just finished the office for the 4th time now. Something special about that show. Just a pity michael left, it wasn't the same without him.
haha, i agree and im on my 5th time. Noone understands it, but its an awesome show.
I know! All my friends think im crazy, ive tried to get them to watch but they arnt for having it. Awh well, their loss :)
Simon Jordan You people get me.
lol same here, like 4 times now :)
omg yesssss this is my exact life...i didn't know there were others..
Words can't describe the void you feel after the song ends and so does the series really
3 down, 7 more to go budyy. Take care of yourself. Lots of love.
Absolutely, once he became manager he started trying to mimic Michael Scott in a repulsive way.
I watched The Office four times and it is not a limit
watched it at least 5 times. the office was more than a show. it was family.
Same here. It's like a family. And whenever I need some cheering up, The Office does it for me.
Шура Шмидт is your name pronounced churra chmeedt
It's Shura Schmidt. But it's not my name. He is a character from "Golden Calf" ("Золотой телёнок") by Ilf&Petrov ("Ильф и Петров", russian writers). The picture is from the same named movie.
1-9 Is a 5x proficient amount! I'll probably watch it about 20 times before I am dead, and I am only 21!
I just listened to the original to this song by Sarah McLachlan. I definitely like Ed Helms' version more.
@@Kploom definitely
Exactly 😭
yes!
same no offence to the original singer but this is way better
Maybe because he sung it with emotions and you can actually feel it...
The last few episodes of the office had the most emotional moments ever. I cried tears of joy. It ended perfectly.
the nard dog, the 9th season didn't do you justice but still one of my favourite moment from the show :)
Great to see Ed Helms performing a beautiful song without the Nard dog's intricacies, specially no high pitched falsettos.
country roads sounded good even with inflections
Still a cheeky little emotive switch to his falsetto in the chorus, but obviously a very different effect
Pam season 7 - "It's nice to hear Andy sing in the appropriate setting"
I think this is the only time in the whole show that Andy sang without his annoyingly exaggerated voice cracks and vibrato and truly displayed his real talent. It kinda speaks to how he hid behind a facade of obnoxious confidence when he sang all the time, but now he has a chance to perform from the heart and everyone wants to listen to him he drops the bullshit and shows his genuinely beautiful voice. Just my opinion
Yes, and you wouldn't believe how much of this exists in the world, not just in the musical world.
I cried. Not even going to lie.
Maxjoy149 exactly, in my opinion only Scrubs did that better.
Andy is hawt
+Lissie Russell Andy is butt
+김민기 Calm down man, looks like the other guy doesn't watch the Office, so he was just curious.
You mean gay
Watched this episode today, great song, great caracter, great cast, great show
One of my favourite moments of the show. I often think about this song and his meaning behind it, as I get older.
I really hate what the writers did to Andy for the majority of season 9 but he definitely redeemed himself in the last few episodes.
Writers ruined him! I refuse to believe that was his character! To me, Andy and Erin are still together! Yes, I'm in denial!
NYRangersfan63 same!!!
Just finished this for the first time. I actually cried lol. I got so attached to these characters and their story, I felt like I was in the office growing with them all. Sounds lame, but screw the haters. The Office is probably the greatest show I've ever watched
Who hates the office, lol...
Haters are the ones who stopped watching it after first few episodes
what sucked was the fact that he didnt sing this at the audition and blabbered some crap at the auditions.. good part was that his drama at the auditions got viral
i totally agree , The way the show was made , makes you really feel you are a part of the office and you feel so touched by each one's story so at the end you even wonder how life will go on fro m now on.
Andy was one of my favourite characters.
Anybody else feel like they knew the characters on the office personally?
Seriously one of the most beautiful moments from this series. Amazing how well this show pulled off these serious little moments.
i cried
Favourite moment of the series
Cried my eyes out watching this. The song, the lyrics, everyone's reaction to it, the realization of me as a fan/viewer that the show is almost over... Goddamn it this hurts every single time.
God I miss The Office.
Me too man.... Me too
I have seen this at least 40 times and I get goosebumps every time.
The songs on the office are lit af
Why did people hated Andy’s character. Its literally one of the best on the show. Literally my top 4. Micheal, Dwight, Toby and andy
The Office had such a satisfying ending. I was heart-broken that the show was over but it ended on good terms other than most shows I've seen
I want Andy and Erin to end up together
@Johnny Cash Records And Creed in jail? 😭
Dwight: "The problem is Michael is afraid of the Mafia. What if Michael doesn't have that fear?"
Andy: "Are you saying that we should remove the pain center in Michael's brain?"
I always found that line weird.
It felt like the roles were reversed and that line would fit Dwight saying it rather than Andy.
Andy was my favourite character
I know right, I've watched it 5 times already and it's still as awesome as the first time
i cried
+ David Kasomov I farted
i just finished and i am watchng it again , it s like i dont want it to finish , lot of things that happened in the show actually happen in the real life , and you always keep wondering if . wonderful show
Feel ya 😌
I cry EVERY time Michael comes back and says "That's what she said"
And then laugh hysterically at Waaasssaaaaaappp
Andy turned out to be such a deep character he almost overshadowed Jim and Dwight combined.
My second favourite character after Michael Scott
Andy was one of the best! Didn't care for his character at first but overtime he freaking won me over. Ed Helms made the character brilliant and with this song ya see how talented he really is. This one hits hard.
I cried like an idiot watching this last night lol I his voice fits that song!!
i remember i cried when i saw the last episode, such a great show
You were my favorite Andy.
(most of the times)
❤️
"Don't let your life pass you by, and weep not for the memories." Beautiful lyrics this always gets me🙂
I think the saddest episode was when Michael left he did not have it in him to say goodbye to everyone, only Jim found out and Pam I always wondered what Pam told Michael when they took their audio equipment off in the airport?
Actually the directors asked her to go and talk to Steve off the record (Just Steve and Jenna, not Pam and Michael) about how she felt about him and how much she was gonna miss him, and it took her about 5-6 mins in doing so and then they asked her to do it again (As Pam this time) in less than 2 minutes
Who can dislike this video !! ? , really this made me emotional, best show ever
Binge watched this in straight 2 weeks. Yet now I feel, like how I greedily gobbled up this magically wonderful exotic cake, when i should have savoured it slowly until my last breath. And all I am left with now, is this eternal bittersweet aftertaste.
andy was the best 😭
the only show that has ever given me closure when it ended. thank you for being a good partner in this relationship.
