6:32 I think the full context is that the photographer was actually a friend who was invited and happened to have a camera. The couple were trying to save money so they asked him to take photos. He agreed and took photos for (I think) 6 hours in the boiling sun and the couple said he couldn't stop or he wouldn't be payed. He deleted the photos and left when the couple denied him a place at the table. (I heard it on a short)
6:25 The photographer was only getting paid $250 for the entire wedding and was doing it as a favor for the bride. They removed them from the guest list and denied them food
I remember that photographer story, the photographer had already been working like six, maybe eight, hours straight without break, they weren't allowed to eat or even get water, eventually they got fed up and told the couple they were going to take a short break to eat and drink, which the groom refused to let them, but the photographer took a break anyways and the groom said they wouldn't paid for the services because of the break, so the photographer deleted the photos It's been a couple years, so I might not have all the details right, but that was the jist
I think it was even worse. If my memory serves me well the photographer was actually an invited guest who wanted to sit down with the other guests when it came time to eat and drink something at the Buffet. As you metioned he did work at least 6 hours allready non stop for them taking pictures. Even more so at first I think they didn't want to pay him, because it would have been a gift, but he was still expected to bring a gift. He wouldn't have that so he actually managed to get them in the end to agree to pay a very small reduced fee for his services as a friend. I remind you again he was actually an invited guest who had a camera and not an actual professional if I recall it correctly that is.

With that wedding photographer story. They weren't paying him 10k they were paying him like 150$ for the whole day and expected him to take pictures of people eating dinner
The thing with the photographer was actually, that he was planned as a guest, but because the original plan fell through was asked to take that role. HE WAS PLANNED AS A GUEST! So there should have been a place and food for him anyway.
Those rules about the will aren’t meant for that situation, but aren’t worded strictly enough to stop it from being used in that way. It’s mostly there to handle cases where someone died unexpectedly and doesn’t have a will prepared.
I’d just like to mention the reason the photographer was so pissed was it is expected as we work at weddings for anywhere from 6-10 hours generally with minimal time to take a break and no time to leave to go to a restaurant and get food, add this to leaving the wedding at about 10 and you have a recipe for a very hangry photographer
1:57 For those of you who don't know. Though there aren't many, it is important for you to understand that this guy is the epitome of natural skill. Like the quote, he refused to drink water. And more. Phil Kessel is also one of the top players in the league, and has the longest streak (currently still going) of games played
6:24 The man was actually a friend of the couple, and was doing a 10 hour event for $250, the normal price is $900. They not only denied him food, but any breaks to sit down or go to the bathroom at all, and he wasn't even reserved a seat at the table. There is the context that no body asked for.
the silence actually becomes uncomfortable at a certain point i have not felt this way since i saw that video of the mii song or whatever it’s called but the pause’s get longer and longer
I like how Robin can't pronounce phenolphthalein. It's an acid base indicator and gives off bright pink when a base (NaOH) is mixed with it. And this solution and be de colorized if you add an acid (like HCl) drops in that solution and mix it gradually. It's fun.
7:18 Context: this is on a Friday Night Funkin song called Pasta Night where the two other characters in that song have mechanics but Lord X does not. So in Chris Pratt’s words, he’s just playing fair.
Having a murder mystery show in the background playing the "character is about to be murdered" noise, mixed with the silence between posts, REALLY adds tension
the story for the hungry photographer was incredibly aggravating apparently the lady and man who got married was good friends with the photographer (who wasn't even an actual photographer, just the dude taking pictures) and the pay offered to him was horrible (don't remember how much it was, though) and he accepted it anyway after taking pictures for hours he wanted to take a break and eat but the lady and man didn't even save him a seat or food and said if he stopped taking pictures he wouldn't be paid so he deleted all the pictures and just left

6:25 actually, the "photographer" was a family friend who the couple asked to take pictures as a supposed favour.. I don't remember the specifics, but they paid him either ~$200 or absolutely nothing to take pictures for 6+ hours. once it was time for the food, the couple denied him a plate and instead asked him to keep taking photos during the meal. he was understandably upset, deleted all the photos he had taken, and left. (I may have gotten some of the story wrong, I haven't seen it in over a month. feel free to correct me anywhere.)
8:39 imagine this, Robin, if you will. Mother and daughter have a wonderful relationship. They spent their time together, they've been with each other through the ups and downs. The trust and love between these two is undeniable no matter which way you look at it. Fast forward years later, and the mother unfortunately becomes stricken with dementia. She never made a will when she was younger like she should have, but she tries to write one now to the best of her ability. Unfortunately, her current ability is not the best. She does the best she can, but somehow- maybe she can't remember her daughter's name or even if she had a daughter at all - the daughter is unmentioned. She declines far too rapidly for her to realize her mistake, and what's done is done. The mother eventually dies, and because the daughter was not written in the will, she is left out completely. She is left nothing to inherit from the mother she loves so much, not even any objects of sentimental value. Keep in mind, this was probably _way_ back in the olden days where we didn't have the amenities and access to lawyers and such that we have now. Let's not forget foul play; say some spiteful person literally cuts someone out of a deap person's will, removing any mention of a specific individual entirely. From the example I used earlier: say the mother *_did_* mention the daughter in the will, but the daughter also had a Karen for a sister who deliberately altered the mother's will post mortem in order to gain everything. These are the type of situations I think these laws were made for. I'm not a lawyer or a historian, so I obviously have no authority to speak on this, but this sort of thing must have happened a lot. And now I have a box of over 30 doorstops under my bed and I hope to pass my doorstop stealing legacy to my kids one day
Also, a lot of people wait to write their will until they are basically senile and then there’s a great chance they could forget someone or something like that. It’s not as formal process as you think it is, for some people.
Me and my friends back in high school brought a stump we found in a park during lunch to school and placed it on top of the lockers in clear view of anyone passing the lockers. It stayed there for 2 weeks before some staff or teachers removed it. Why did it take them so long? Apperently some guy did his finals (GIP I believe it's called) around the study of trees (stumps includes). Either he said he brought it for research purposes or the teachers just thought it was part of someone's finals already.
6:47 The deleted photos story was actually an am I the asshole post (specifics might not be exactly right because I read the post awhile ago). Someone who does not do wedding photography (did some other type of photography for fun iirc) was told by a friend they couldn't afford a photographer and asked if they'd be willing to do it for like $100 as a wedding present. They clarified to the person they were pretty far from a professional and were told that was fine. They got to the wedding and there was no seat for them since they were expected to be 100% taking photos and the groom wasn't willing to give them any food. The photographer was under the impression that they'd be a guest at the wedding and would be taking as many photos as they could, so they expected to get a meal like any other guest. When the groom said they couldn't have any food, the photographer said they'd just delete the photos and leave (and not take the money) and then they did that.
also at 7:14 they are talking about pasta night from hypnos lullaby and to explain it each character except lord x has a power hypno has the pendulum mx has the pow block and lord x has none and just plays fairly. i usually play as hypno cu hes the easiest to play as but if you choose lord x you have to deal with both mechanics.
