Goes to show all the "slow carb" and "keto" people out there that Natalie and many others can still cut up while eating white rice. My point is, don't obsess over the glycemic index unless you're a diabetic or have some kind of metabolic issue that requires one to follow such an index.

Well… some of my favorite seasonings for tofu are: - liquid amino’s sauce (salty) - coconut amino’s (savory/sweet) - nutritional yeast (cheesy) - everything but the bagel seasoning 🧂 - onion salt - adobo (Puerto Rican spice) - the low carbs sugar free G Hughes BBQ All are very macro friendly for prep❤️ good luck!
those macros are incredible. with the food I have available (which is a lot of fruits, beans and veggies) I find it very hard to hit my protein goals without a crazy amount of carbs that go along with it. For example, I know that lentils and chickpeas are a great source of protein, but to get like 5g of protein in id have to eat 100g of chickpeas and the rest would all be carbs. Im struggling with that

Holley, have you heard of seed cycling? You won't build muscle if you arent making the right balance of hormones, and seed cycling can get you there. Also, seeds have protein!,
61 gms of Carbs? Yikes! I would gain 5 lbs that day. 😄 When I was your age, I could eat carbs with no problem too. Not at 64, and I'm very active. You look amazing, so keep up the good work.
It’s actually impressive how she can workout with good weight on a starvation diet. She likely is natty as well. If she added some eggs and steak she’d look 10 years younger and be a better bodybuilder, but I understand that her religion forbids human health, so that will not happen

I am eating plant based. I am doing 1hr full body workouts 3 times per week and cardio on bike 2 days per week. I find I am not building muscle. Doing a super plant based shake after working out. Any advice ?
Muscle takes a lot of time to build. Years, so don’t give up😉 Consistency is key! -Take progress photos -Make sure you are eating enough to support your goal. -train hard…progressive overload (keep a workout journal and track your weights, make sure you are slowly progressing over time) -work with a coach if it’s possible for you. A coach will be able to guide you and adjust your macros/training based on your personal feedback.

Thank you for another video! Just curious, how much protein powder do you use in a day? I find that I use 2 or more scoops (20g each) a day, with the rest being mostly whole foods.
I usually do 35-40 grams of protein powder per day (that's about a heaping scoop). I like to put it in my oats or protein pancakes...lately I've been doing shakes because it's quick and convenient. During competition season, my protein intake get's higher... so I will do 1-2 scoops per day. I love Livbody protein because it has a greens powder blend as well, so I get extra nutrients.
Personal question: are you on a hormonal contraceptive? If so, how does that affect your training? I've been thinking about how controlling the natural increase in oestrogen each month could take away from gains.
