      India markets do not sell vegan milk and vegan cheese and vegan butter and vegan meat.
      But in western countries they sell all the vegan foods.
      India is only good for vegetarians not vegans.
      There is a difference.

      @@Yy-gl8ku I agree. I've traveled to many countries, and I've found India to be the most difficult as a vegan. Most Indians don't even know what veganism is. There's dairy in everything.

      @@Yy-gl8ku The point is most dishes are vegan or easy to veganize than other cuisines, so Indian vegans have a lot more variety. Almost all of my day to day traditional food that I have had as an Indian vegetarian (daal chaawal, roti sabzi, chhole puri, pav bhaaji, dosa sambar, veg biryani, samosa, etc) is either already vegan or can be made vegan by switching out ghee for oil. Sure there are foods I can't have anymore like paneer or laasi or rasmalai, but that happens in every cuisine. And yes eating at restaurants is difficult because of the overabundance of butter and yogurt, but in my own kitchen, I can enjoy so much of my traditional food without having to lose it like in other cultures.

    I like the pancake recipe, but I would add some applesauce (1 tbsp per pancake) to give a little structure.
    Here’s my recipe for absolutely delicious vegan pancakes that omnivores will also love:
    yields 3 servings (9 medium-size pancakes)
    Ingredients
    * 1 ¼ cups (180g) all-purpose flour
    * 2 tablespoons coconut sugar or maple syrup
    * 2 teaspoons baking powder
    * ½ teaspoon salt
    * 1 tsp cinnamon
    * 1/2 tsp vanilla
    * 1  cup plant-based milk (if using pea milk you may want to dilute some with water)
    * 1/4 cup applesauce
    Instructions
    Step 1 Sift the flour then add baking powder, cinnamon, and salt into a large bowl. Whisk the almond milk, oil, sugar, vanilla, and apple sauce together in a small bowl. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, then slowly pour in the wet, while mixing. Stir just until blended; mixture will be slightly lumpy.

Step 2 Heat a lightly oiled griddle over medium-high heat. Use a 1/4 cup measure to drop batter onto the griddle, and cook until bubbles form and the edges are dry. Flip, and cook until browned on the other side. Repeat with remaining batter.

    • @kaleidoscope977

      how much oil do you usually add to the batter?

    • @jpe1
      @jpe1 Год назад +1

      @@kaleidoscope977 the applesauce also substitutes for oil; there is no added oil necessary. If your frying pan or griddle has seen better days then a very light oiling of the pan might be needed to keep the pancakes from sticking, but on a well-season cast iron or nonstick surface the pancakes will come off no problem.

    you're not "adding" veggies if you apply heat - you turned them into carbs

    Not impressed with their meals... they all look kinda bland and dry... and there's barely any fruit.

      They were more veggie heavy with minimal fruit. They seasoned everything though.

      Sorry you feel that way Ella. It’s based off of one day’s meals. I can’t speak for the others but for me I don’t eat the same thing every single day. We chose our favorite meals to make for a day. Again speaking for myself I do have fruit but wanted to make other things for the video.

      Luckily Caroline I track my food so just enough for my daily intake. And we all workout enough to not have a health concern.
