I would say the canon R7 but I usually shoot in manual mood when I shoot most of my music video. Just lock on to your subject and stay in the range. It I would say the canon R7 it definitely better
I'm just saying ready to go Meredith, yet I have the 80D right now I came frome the t7i which a rebel so you know how advance the 80D is compared to the t7i. But can you really compare mirrorsless to dslr with digic 6 vs digic x? I don't think so.
Let me tell you when I first move from the t6i to the canon 80D I was like it’s over, I can’t be stop at this point. Literally one of my favorite camera then I got the blackmagic and then the canon r7 which is 4k. I mean you can compare anything now a day

I bought the t7 just to get back in the swing of things, but then they told me they made one better the t7i. I was mad big mad. 45 auto focus crossed type with face tracking. I hustle my but off to get it. The they the some new LENS STM. Kit lens making all this noise in my video. Wireless mic was not out yet that I know of. I broke T7i, and I was sad no more photography. No more awesome videos. So I save up again. I got a wedding job. I tried to order the T8i. The stole from shipping. I called Amazon and told them I got paid already. I need a wedding camera like now. They called the company and told them. Now, the t8i was selling for $667.89. By the time I opened the box it a $1,500 camera in the box called the 80D. Man, I have been chasing this device for years. It was always pricey. Now that I know what does it's running circles around my rebels, I never go back. It'd got the developer options built in side already.
As a canon 80D user, using the canon r7 recent, night And day difference r7 knock out the 80D out of the park !! From images quality, auto focus !! 80D it’s great for a hobbies but once you start pushing the limit to it you’ll quick find out about the flaws of the cam !!
