- Far From Me is the third single from From All Sides, and I'm sure a lot of you have heard it already because of that. xD For those of you that haven't, though, here it is! It's a song about a bittersweet farewell, a friendship that was never meant to be. You could call it Friendship Part 2, I suppose!

Sad songs are what I'm known for. xD But I do have some happy ones planned too!
This has always been one of aviators best songs in my opinion. It's just so well done in the beat, theme and story it portrayes.
You're music is so beautiful and when listening I do get emotional
Not really. There's no specific nod to the show or a character, the reference is purely thematic. Unlike some of the songs on From All Sides, however, this song was written with the show in mind, not compared to it later. I wrote it, along with Friendship, about a falling out between the mane 6, perhaps due to Discord's tricks. Random fact: The lyrics were written at the same time as Friendship, and the song was originally going to be a second part/continuation.
Indeed it has. xD Though not quite THAT long, really. I write the lyrics of more than 100 songs a year that never make it into production. I've even been writing songs before I knew HOW to bring them into productions. Far From Me just got shelved for a few months until From All Sides began, but even then it's not the oldest song on the album. Storm was written in early 2011 and More Than Meets The Eye was written in its first form in 2008.
Love this. Listening to it paints a fantastic picture of betrayal, battle, and hope. Once again, another fantastic piece from you. Can't wait to see what comes out of that brilliant head of yours next!
Aviators is the only electronic stuff, that i could listen to a whole album of over and over again.
Wow... I love this song!!! It has such a beautiful tune and such meaningful lyrics! This is right up next to Friendship and Hearths Warming Eve on my favovrite sad songs. Amazing job, Aviators!

Aviators; the way you write you music suggests that there is more to the song. So long have I tried to figure out what each song means to you, what more the lyrics say about the song. I can't figure out what the true meaning to the song is, but I do know that they are aw-inspiring songs. Please do not stop, no matter what. As a promise to all those that listen.

Oooh geez I love this. I don't know how you do it Aviators. Somehow your music is so different from other kind of songs I listen to. It's your voice and the way you use your instruments that makes you to one of my absolute favorite musicians. I wish you best of luck for your future plans. :)
I started plotting a story almost two weeks ago today. It started out as a short coming-of-age style piece inspired by Tomb Raider and Minecraft; but this made me evolve it into a grandiose duel of loves lost and oaths scorned where the stars themselves are in mortal jeopardy. I thank you for this, Aviators. I find a great muse here, and I can only hope my skill as a wordsmith can come close to matching your's as a composer. Best of luck, Aviators, though I can't say I think you need it.

It does sound like a song about the time between Discord's corruption of the Mane girls and their reunion. While it was not very long, I'm sure Discord's powers made if feel longer and deeper than it was.

I have not heard other songs than these on youtube, but I'd like to find more aviators songs with theme and style similiar to 'constellations' or even 'melody'. You have done/posted on youtube so much staright forward sad or dark music lately. I'm not saying that constellations (my favourite) is the happiest song but that is why I like it and would like to hear more in that mystical style.

the forum I admin for is going through a bit of drama recently, and one of my closer friends is the one causing it. it doesn't help that my fellow admins seem stubborn on their viewpoint (despite the fact they're right)
but through it all, I can't help but go back to this song during the arguments. it's left trying to figure it out and entered a war to settle the score.
This is fitting for my situation. I have a friend who's like a little brother to me and we had a lot in common (including liking MLPFIM) and he moved away about a month or so ago because of a job opportunity...but lately I just don't matter to him anymore im just sitting here crying because I feel like I'm just a memory
