You can't find everywhere typical places like in Pata Durbar Square behind the Krishna Mandir, Lahana at Kirtipur where you get everything newari homemade Alcohol, rice beer and ya yummy typical newari foods. Even Baji(in Newari) Chiura or beaten rice you can literally see they are making fresh not every one have that test. Kirtipur is one of the old city near from Kathmandu. If you have asked Newar about the place where you can enjoy newari food then you would have found it. I would recommend Lahana.
