Just a little mechanics advice for anyone looking to do this. When you're trying to get the axle shaft out of the hub on the front wheels, DO NOT strike it directly with a hammer. You'll run the risk of damaging the threads on the end of your axle shaft. You can use a dead blow hammer or a brass drift or something that won't damage the shaft. Not trying to flame this guy but whacking things with a hammer, sometimes, is a mechanic no no. There are other means to apply force to get parts to come free.
P.S. Despite taking off the axle nuts I had the CV joints come out on both sides, doesn't take much. But went back in just as easily, took 5 minutes to get them back in.
@@russellgregoire7418 Hello, I've just done mine assembled the first tire, but the cv joint on the passenger still looks a looks out even though that the tire is assemble should I be consern.

I just did this job on my Ranger this last weekend and wished that I had removed the axle nut (uggh) when I did the left side. It ended up taking almost five hours to get it all back together again after the CV overextended. On the right side, I disconnected the lower control arm from the frame and completed the entire installation in under an hour. Way easier!
I have a question for you experts in the 4x4 sector! (and I would like to know if you can tell me if it is true that the ironman nitro gas shock absorbers go well with the original set-up and can be adapted with the +5? I have a Suzuki jimny 4x4 with m13a 1.3 l petrol engine with shock absorbers and standard settings, yesterday afternoon I picked up the new ironman nitro gas shock absorbers and the 4x4 spare parts dealer in Florence told me that these ironman nitro gas shock absorbers are ok for 4x4 off-road vehicles with stock trim or in a second you could put the springs higher and it becomes a +5 high trim is that true? Looking at doing this project. On dirt and eibach pro truck adjustable tho. By far the most helpful install video so far. Hope I can get the a arm back together with a pry bar, one man show, and gonna buy a deadblow for the axle.(tool buy excuse) wish me luck.
Thanks for the video. Doing this exact thing to my 21 Ranger. Wondered how it looked since the 2.0's come pre-lifted. Still wanted some rake for hauling and didn't want the rear "squat". So it looks like it's not too level. The original FX setup really stinks. So much body roll....
Ok im confused i have a 23 fx4 and it rides like a truck, but you said the fox makes it stiffer? I want a much softer ride, more like a trophy truck ride,so this is not what I should do?
It's a leveling kit with improved suspension, particularly off road. Less chatter on the rear end, less body roll in the turns from what I've noticed after a couple days driving it.
Having the Fox 2.0 stage 1 kit installed at Ford this week. I have the same black wheels and Hankook tires as you, but the Stage 1 Performance package comes with the 17" Dyno Grey wheels. I'm wrapping 265/70 R17 BFG KO2s on them. 1" bigger more aggressive tire and 1" smaller wheel, and that should complete the look with the level stance.

Do you have to replace the cv axle nut? I've heard mix whether or not you do or do not? Stage 3 told me it's not necessary. Maybe I should ask ford lol
Am I the only one who gets the most stubborn ball joints on earth? Had to hit them with a torch then sledge on my mustang... and my ranger is asking for it too.
This is the proper way to install on a 2019-2020 Ford Ranger 4WD. I too own a 2020 Ford Ranger XLT 4WD, bought this same kit, and installed it myself. In order to prevent the CVs from falling out of the housing, the front brake calipers, and rotors must be removed prior to removing the stock struts. I preferred to follow the instructions in the Ford Ranger Shop Manuals than watching the Stage 3's installation video. What I am telling you here is also mentioned by many Ford Ranger owners on www.ranger5g.com.
Exactly. It’s takes just 5 minutes to remove the brakes and sway bar. You pop a CV out you possible have to rebuild or replace it. Would rather take the time to do it right then shortcut and screw it up
Way to much work. Use a pry bar and it takes 15 minutes per side. Align and go. Adjust lights with screwdriver or fingers. Using Phillips turn clockwise for down. Using fingers on gear counterclockwise for down. 1 year warranty and you MUST rebuild yearly.
