The thing is to know where chronological this song was created, because the anime that this song belong was delayed, so maybe is before Shambles... All the songs after the Unleash EP were collected and belong to the new album, the list of songs: Memorable Shambles Bestie Protect You SHOW THEM *BAND-MAID with The Warning **Toi et moi Magie **Forbidden tale Go easy Brightest Star **The one **Letters to you **TAMAYA! Only 5 songs are unknow and complete new, the rest are part of the playlist that the band perform regularly in the actual tour.
Thank you for reacting to the Maids again! As far as mix is concerned, there is an on going debate on the mix from certain releases. Some which have gone down the road of which media the song is targeted more. The theory of it being listen on TV, laptops, tablets and phone. Which many seem to way more muddy on high end equipment. I'm not a tech engineer, so I can't describe it in details as others have in chat rooms. Next songs? You seem to like the faster harder hitting stuff...maybe try "From Now On" OMV", "Warning!" OMV or "Rinne" OMV. They have a deep and diverse portfolio, so I hope you keep rocking with the Maids! PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
Interesting! I’m seeing this take of the mix being optimised for a specific listing experience floating around and it makes sense. Hopefully the album will be optimised for a full range listing experience! Thanks for the recommendations, I appreciate it 🤘
Nice reaction! Both songs, Shambles and Protect You served in different types of anime genres. Shambles is for Kengan Ashura (season 2) anime ending song which is about the MMA fighters whereas Protect You is for the Grendizer U anime ending song which is a mecha anime. This band needs to compose a song to suit these animes and for me it's the song that suits the animes. I suggest you watch both animes (maybe 1-2 episodes) then, you know what the purpose of composed the song.
Thank you! Thanks for sharing this info, I didn’t take the style of anime into consideration and how that would affect their approach to writing these two songs.
I suspect that when they do actual anime music like Shambles and Protect You, the anime studio likely has some additional production input. On their song Sense, they had to leave the orchestral intro from the anime in their music release, even though that wasn't their first choice.
From an interview about Sense: ------- Q: If I remember correctly, when you were writing Sense, you were asked by the TV anime side for a song with orchestration, weren’t you? That’s why you had to study it. Kanami: That’s right. So… what should I say? I feel I was able to write it thanks to that experience. Q: So you feel that your studies have properly borne fruit or increased your repertoires, don’t you? Kanami: Yes, I do. I realized again there are a lot of things you can do only if you study hard. Also, even if I have learned something, it will gradually escape my mind and get lost as time goes by.
There was a mention of the orchestral intro in the Wiki article "They were approached to write "Sense" on New Year's Day 2021 and recorded it before summer.[2] The lyrics are about the manga Platinum End. They were given free range with the lyrics, except that they had to include the words "angel" and "premonition".[3] The orchestral intro was not originally part of the song, lead guitarist Kanami Tōno composed it after the producers of the anime asked them to include it." It was a written interview where they mentioned that they wanted to release the single without the orchestral intro but they weren't able to. It would have hit a lot harder as a single without it.
@@rockyetsx70 I know they were asked to provide the orchestral intro for the anime, but I've never seen anything that suggests they didn't want to include it on the Band-Maid release.
The mix on this is controversial. It seems like if you have high fidelity gear, it’s kind of muddy, and people don’t like it as much. Seems like they may have tried to optimize for TVs and mobile devices or something.
That's exactly right, daaaaaave. Today's mix is geared toward the 1-2" speaker. You have to hear them (or any group) live to have a discreet, high-fi / low-compressed audio experience.
🤘Band-Maid 🤘Thanks for the reaction James

If you are trying to "associate" or categorize Band-Maid, you are barking up the wrong tree. Just sit back and enjoy the music.
Show them and Bestie are the collabs so far, this one is the maids only.
And "The Dragon Cries"
I’d say writing a song for an anime is a collaboration because without the anime there’s no song.
