I saw this training film months ago. Just yesterday I started looking at all the Oblivion NPC memes. And now two of my favorite things have been combined? Alchemy level 100.
The tenderness has absolutely zero to do with the thickness of the cut after it's already cooked. That line is just designed to save product knowing full well that 90% of people probably won't come back up.
That's exactly why they have a carver at all. If they were to put out a tray with all the good stuff people would take it and not fill up on the the cheap shit like mashed potatoes.

But the most striking features it had was the sparkling glove of mail in it's left and the large blade in the right. The owner horrified but still with his wits stands firm, and demands for the apparition to disperse. Then, after what seemed like eons, the Cursed Carver spoke in a strained tone that thinner slices are more tender. With that, it dissipates and the buffet returns to normal with the staff and customers, oblivious to what just occurred. Except for the owner, who retained everything. He sits down on his desk, traumatized, and hastily writes a memo to the staff to immediately start training for carving techniques as well as getting newer equipment for sharpening. Satisfied, he power downs his computer, the reflection of the black screen suddenly shows the Cursed Carver looking over his shoulder. The owner turns in a fright, but sees nothing. Looking back to the screen, words written in melted chocolate read "All right".
