I couldn't find a tutorial to replace my Porsche Macan's brake pads and I found this. They are identically the same. Thank you very much, you saved my money . Thumbs up!
Are the pads and the sensor wires supposed to be exposed like that or am I missing a cover piece? Thanks for the tut by the way! I've already finished the first tire!
@@512TXSDIYI got the front pads done quite easily! I'm doing the rear pads today, which requires a little extra step due to the e-brake, so we'll see how that goes. Thanks so much for the awesome tutorial!
My Audi brakes were squealing from day 1. I tried to have it fixed from the dealership and they refused. I got tired of it and replaced the 3/4 used pads myself. No more squealing
@@512TXSDIY sorry Yes its like a hand brake in a way . When i leave my car it automatically applies the brakes. My question is , is the rear brakes only thing being applied or is all 4 front and rear

Great video. Is it safe to put the backup jack stand where you have it? Didn't see that jacking point on the owners manual.

were your pads semi metallic or ceramic and do you have any squeal after driving on them for a bit?
Believe ceramic. Did you need the Amazon link?

what if I dont have that tool to open the space between the rotor and caliper to put the pads.. what can I do,
Better hop on Amazon? :-). You can probably use a big flat blade screw driver as well.
I used a box wrenc after I got the pads out and wedge it on the caliper. Easiest step in my opinion
I have 2013 audi Q5 premium quattro , do i have to worry about using a device to release my brakes ?? My audi does apply brakes when on brake
I don’t understand what you’re saying. Are you talking about the emergency electric brake?
