I am curious of the top speed of the recon? When you get 3 miles off shore speed plays a factor on getting back against wind. Might be a idea for a video/safety tips if you want. I know I have had my girlfriend in too slow of a kayak only 1.5 miles from beach and wind picked up abruptly pushing us away from the protected cape we wanted to beach on and it was a struggle balancing energy and not losing ground to the wind.
I average around 3 MPH according to my chart plotter with a steady solid peddle. Can go a little faster but the extra effort isn’t worth the little increase in speed. Safe average is 2.5 against the tide and 3.5 with the tide and 3.0 around slack. Wind and tide….a sea kayakers constant battle😜
You're really making me want to buy a fishing kayak! Nice fish!
Do it I need a camera man obviously 😂😂😂
That’s a nice king mate. I’m sure it ate well. That last fish you dropped looked like it had a bit of go in it.
Was something that would have came home with me for sure 😜
