My middle school (Oregon trail middle school)'s 8th grade band, which I am a percussionist in, was supposed to play this for our 2019-2020 spring concert. We ended up not being able to play it, bc of the whole coronavirus outbreak thing. I was playing all of the mallet parts, such as the wind chimes, xylophone, marimba, and bell kit, all by myself

Damn, quite a feat - too bad COVID ruined that - fun piece to preform, maybe in the future?

I’m playing the pice this year and i play crash cymbals, tambourine, cabasa, and tam tam or gong but really idk if you ever got made fun of for being a percussionist but we have but we can most likely play more instruments then they can lol

im also also in percussion. I play timpani but the whole mallet thing is a part so its meant to be by yourself. And also its chimes or tubular bells, wind chimes are different.

that was smart to have the trombones stand up so can hear the gliss in the beginning

I think that the trombones were playing a bit too loud.

As a tubist playing this in freshman year, measures..uh the 109 section, is my favorite part, sounds like the climax of a movie trailer

Wait are the oboes/clarinets mic'd? How big is this auditorium?

Nothing is mic'd. The lone big microphone you see is the audio recording for the performance. The BD audio records the concerts.
