Fixing a Squeaky Roomba 960

My son and I troubleshoot our Roomba 960. It has been emitting a loud squeaking noise for days. We are both fed up with it. We work together to find a solution and bam! No more “squeakens”!!

Yes!!! Thank you for posting. We’ve only had ours 3 weeks and it started squeaking. Fixed the problem in less than a minute.

Fixed the squeak on my roomba

You are lucky the noise stopped with that tiny piece of hair taken out…. I have had roombas for 22 years… I have 7 of them. And I clean mine every week because I have 4 cats… they ALWAYS have hair caught between the brush and where it screws in… (where you took yours out) that has NEVER been any bother to the function of my roombas….
My loud scratching noise is usually the tire mechanism or I need to clean and oil the motor.

This mostly worked for me, there's a LOT less squeeks, but still a little, I suspect the wheels.
