I wouldn't brag about the sales of Tundras , they're very low compared to other truck brands and every truck brand is struggling to sale any trucks. The dealer's lots are full of inventory . Toyota isn't much of an exception. Each time I bring in our Rav4 for service I see a lot of Tundras on the lot with prices that people normally see at BMW or Mercedes dealers . Very few people are willing to pay these prices. I see some new low trim Tundras parked in the driveway of houses that are probably as expensive as the truck itself. People rather spend a chunk of money on a vehicle than on their homes to make it look nice.

    • @TundraDude34
      @TundraDude34  5 месяцев назад

@texastravelers210 im not arguing the fact that the big 3 sell way more half tons. They always have and probably always will. What I am saying, is this is the best we’ve seen Tundra sales in a very long time (2008), and Toyota doesn’t need the Tundra to make ends meet. They just want some market share. While the big 3 rely on half ton sales to survive, Toyota is the #1 auto manufacturer in the world because they sell a huge variety of vehicles. Keep that in mind.
Also, Toyota wants decent inventory on the lot. The covid days are over, and seeing 15-20 on the lot is back to normal. Are the prices insane, yes sir. Its now up to the regional team and Toyota lots to give the discounts necessary. The incentives are heading in the right direction also. Thanks for watching!

Never understood the iforce max since day 1.
Dealer had an iforce max in the color i wanted. He asked me why i wasnt interested in an iforce max. I told him:
    1) cost
    2) complexity/reliability/durability
    3) rear seat storage used by battery
    4) weight, 400-500 pounds additional
    5) doesnt improve fuel economy

Really interesting I hadn’t thought about losing storage space from the battery but that’s a really good point. A few reasons why I think the Iforce max isn’t selling well. First, the fuel mileage isn’t all that great. Next, the batteries are stored under the back seat and they take up storage and precious payload. Plus, they aren’t worth the extra money for the hybrid.

No matter what you do to boost a small engine to get more power, you are just shorting the life of the engine. I have made a very good living selling internal engines parts. Gets roughly the same gas mileage as my 2019 Tacoma. Yes, I agree that the mileage isn't any different from the regular iForce. The Tundra itself has never been a runaway sales leader. (Ford, Chevrolet, and GMC sold many times more trucks despite Toyota's perceived quality.) 196,000 in 2007 is the most Tundras that were ever sold in this country in one year; even counting what was sold in other countries Toyota still sells a fraction of what the other manufacturers are able to move. While high prices can be said for all other manufacturers, I can assure you I won't buy a vehicle that cost as much as my first house. I don't care how good it is.

Tundra Dude hi from loyal Toyota owner. I currently have 2015 Tundra TRXPRO and 2017 Sequoia Platinum. Hers where Toyota f****** used. The I use the iforce name to try to make us think it’s going to be like 5.7 L lower horsepower but bulletproof engine. Also this new engine is not made for towing. My service tech said there are a lot of the trucks coming back with shot transmissions. Unheard of in my 2 DINOSAURS as the smart as reviewers stated. I wrote Toyota a letter on the Sequoia and how to make them better, ie softer suspension, more sound insulation, better infotainment and bla bla. They wrote me back. I said we have already made our decision for the new car and we’re not taking any at this time even though this was my fifth Sequoia and second tundra I can tell you I am shopping for the same car with lower mileage I refuse to buy the new stuff. To get a TRD Pro that cost so much in a color they choose for you is ridiculous. You should get a better option for color and customization at that price. Added price is another deal-breaker at this high price-level and would suspect that payload would be compromised due to the battery weight. We just looked at a '24 limited 6.5' bed that had 1350 lbs of payload, which is 200lbs less than what we have now in our 1/2 ton.

It actually pisses me off that someone like you, who probably loves Tundras more than anyone on the planet, is priced out of the Tundra they really want. But that’s the way of the world now. 2nd, I’m not an engineer but it seems to me as far as longevity goes that the Iforce max might be the way to go. Especially if you tow. There’s no arguing that these 6 cylinder turbos put out more power but it doesn’t tow like the V8. The engine works much harder to do the same amount of towing. So actually the battery may help extend life of the 6 banger since it wouldn’t have to work as hard at low RPMs than the regular. Just a thought. Anyway, always enjoy your channel.

I paid $45.000 for my 2021 SR5 Cewmax when I bought it Brand New. Granted, this was before the car market went absolutely insane.

I think Toyota should give us an option with tuned for power or fuel economy, surely this should be possible with a re-flash of the computer. Then we select the economy or sport. Now there’s basically no difference.

Way to expensive that’s why. All vehicle manufacturers are ripping people off for junk products

I Really Want A 1794 Edition Tundra. Might Have To Settle For A Used 2023 However Dealership Is Still Charging 64K. Hopefully I Can Wait For The End Of The Year And Get A Deal. But At The Same Time Still 14K Over What I Want To Pay 🤣

Who cares about a good deal on an Iforce Max. People are getting smarter and saying no government coerced battery vehicles. Buy a V8 from the big three before they are outlawed.

It’s really simple - bought a 2016 limited new for $43k. Same truck now is in the $60k’s - not even close to worth it. Prices need to come down about 30%.

    Twin turbo plus hybrid
How much complexity does one need
These are going to be risky used buys
Plus of course the starting price is too high even for the non hybrid so the vehicle is over capitalized already
