The rule is do not hit below the belt. The belt line is the belly button line. Thats why corectly placed shirts should just about cover the belly button. Thats why the area below the belt line is covered with protection. For a punch to be boardersline over half of the glove should be in the skin above the belt line. In Daniels case 100% of the glove was on the shorts. There should be no discution about this the rules are clear. Even with that in mind boxers should stay away from the beltline to avoid controversy. Daniels consistently struck Usyk low. He was warned by the ref on multiple occasions to aim higher. Many of the punches landed on his legs which is a clear indicator of aiming low. I could understand if Daniel was winning the fight on points or it was a close fight but it wasn’t. Usyk threw and landed more jabs and more power punches. He dropped Daniel with good technical punches and made his fight at an unsustainable pace whichc is why Daniel did nit want to continue. He was out of gas and while you can fight when you are hurt but you cannot fight when you are out of gas.
Not to mention Dubois was bragging about cheating before the fight, was punching so low all night he even hit Usyk in the ass cheek 😂 It’s weird there’s this mentality amongst certain fighters and fans that if you can’t beat the guy fair and square you should be allowed to cheat, and usually most fighters don’t say anything but when Usyk insists on a clean fight they get mad about it.
No one's attacking Usyk's integrity, precisely the point is that he COULDN'T continue, but that the blow wasn't necessarily low. I don't consider around the navel illegal, that's the abdomen which for me is a perfectly legal place to hit. I admire Usyk tremendously but I think it's becoming increasingly clear that he does not like body shots, we've already heard the stories of how Bakole poleaxed him with a body shot in sparring for the Joshua rematch, get over it!!

Ffs why don’t you guys just look at the rules, and investigate your claim. You can see clearly Usyks naval is right at the top of his trunks. Thats the line. ANYTHING below that is ILLEGAL. I mean ffs not a single part of Dubois glove touched skin. It’s not debatable at all. But let’s just say for the sake of argument the whole entire waistband like mentioned in this video is fine he literally hits the protector and you can see it moving upward. Have you ever put on a protector for real? Even a regular jock strap with a cup? There’s that spot forgive the details but right where you’re pubes are and it goes up to your bladder then your lower stomach then your navel. The glove lands right where your pubic bone and bladder meet. So regardless of if the band is clean he hits an illegal spot and therefore it’s low. If someone threw a shot and glanced their opponents head and then connected with the elbow and forearm js it legit cause at least part of the punch was “clean?” No of course not, but you’re applying the same logic ontop of it being irrelevant because the entire punch is low.
