Anna's definitely the most skilled shaman outside of the combatant group, she's stood her own against Hao a few times and was born with the power of being a reishi, then resolved that and learned many curse reversals and stuff. Epic

Since Yoh is a part of Hao its almost like at the end of the series he comes before god and returns back to earth. Resulting in Hao becoming the " new testament god" more foregiving and understanding for the flaws of humanity. Also i believe that Anna represents the " spirit of mother nature" which in my eyes explains why Hao struggle's against her more than against anybody else.

The anime is fast paced, and left some details hanging but it's already based on the manga. So you just can just check it out. My hunch was they just provided the details especially during the shaman fights centered on the evolution of powers of the 5 warriors and gave snippets on the subcharacters, I will say compared to other anime reboot I like the Shaman King in particular. I've been a fan if the series since 2001 and reading the manga simultaneously.

@@diezfrancis I feel like with new viewers its worse than just being confused. If the anime is poorly made then that will affect the story and as a result new viewers will potentially be turned off from the wider franchise cause they don't see any point in checking it out.

Anna really is a tank, a force to be wreckend with, even when she is pregnant(beginning stages but still) she can still kick ass, mad respect for Queen Anna

Hao was actually asking her what she was but that conversation was never continued since Yo interrupted it. Afterwards she never had any significant scene again so I think it would have been pretty cool to dive deeper into the similarity and fight potential between Hao and Anna instead of completely ignoring it since both of them seem to be aware that it exists.
True, Anna's story is mostly finished at Osorezan, after Yoh saved her she becomes quite content with life and is only there to support Yoh since her dreams are fulfilled. She is badass but yeah her character and story could have been expanded.
Can't disagree, it is, but it's a little more polished than usual. Tho that's still not owning up the fact that yeah... It does suck not to have fluidity.
Megumi Hayashibahara, the woman who sang the first OP and ED and that Osorezan Revoir song. Also voiced Anna in the old anime and sang the opening themes, she's a really famous OP and ED singer.

Haibara Ai is from Detective Conan, I wouldn't recommend that one since it drags on and it's still going on. There are some good murder mysteries there. Haibara and Anna share the same voice actress, just like Conan and Hao, that's an interesting fact.

I feel like Anna have power but she would never be perfect/excellent fighter. Sure she has high power lvl etc but. . . thats about it. She has lack of combat skills, she is not very flexible person, she doesnt seem like to dodge any move but just stay in place and tank it. She also has lack of Mental resistance, her mental state is probably one of worst/weakest due to lack of any extreme fights like that or even trainings.
I guess you're mostly right. But she's been trained as an itako, not a fighter. And her abilities have proven to be usable, but unfortunately, she's not been chosen. I'm sure it would've been actually kinda awesome to see her be part of the tournament.

Anna diffnetly one of the best females characters in shonen.
The Hanagumi are good characters too. I do think that Takei could have done a better job on them and Jun, like exploring them more.
Anna is amazing for real. Can't think of a shonen lead that matches her well enough.
