Overall this is a good video, but I want to address one thing you said. 24 megapixels is more than enough for professional use. To create a 1080p (standard full HD) image you only need a 3 megapixel camera. 24 megapixels gives you 8 times the bare minimum for full 1080p HD. Where the difference in megapixels is most noticeable is when you're doing a lot of cropping of images. Higher megapixel cameras allow for more heavy or tighter cropping, but outside of that (or if you're not going to do a lot of cropping) it's almost impossible to tell what a 20 megapixel picture is and a 50 or more megapixel picture is when printed out in a standard size.
Christopher and Off My Frame: why do you need a crop sensor on the camera? I thought cropping was done on your computer editing of photos. How do you utilize the crop sensor while shooting photos?
@@horacesawyer2487 The image sensor is the crop sensor. What you see in the view finder is going to be slightly cropped in the image itself. You can go and further crop it in editing
Hi.. i have a 80D that I bought brand new in 2017 for about 1150 Euros, I bought it mostly for Video, it did come with a kit lens 18-55mm that does not work very good in low light, I still have the same lens and I am thinking about selling the camera because I do mostly videos and iPhones these days take fantastic videos and pictures. How ever, I am thinking before I sell it, should I try getting a lens that is better for low light video ? like the 50mm 1.8f ? I mean It would let more light in compared to the 18-55mm ? I would be more than happy to continue making videos with the 80D, maybe I need both a better lens and some better light ? I mostly make my videos indoors.. what's your opinion ? Thanks.. :D
I have an 80d. Have had it forever. Would never buy if you will be doing a ton of video. It has great tracking and the 1080 is fine. But get a mirrorless. Plain and simple. Lugging the tank around sucks. And selfie style is rough. Good colors though for sure.
Love the 80D

Great video, thank you, I’ve been looking at these for a step-up from my T7.
