Alita made me believe Battle Angels are real. The actor, the writers and directors created a character who was both epic and emotional, both imperfect but someone you root for. Best movie of 2019 so far.

The critics for this movie, all had shit taste.
The dialogue was simple. Meaning its almost as if it were made for simpletons. The plot didn't need to be any more complex, the characters just needed to feel more immersive. Everything felt so storybook. The action rocked my socks. Perfect. I loved the movie but it needed some better dialogue.

@@danc5644 Loved the movie. Very excited when Cameron announced he wanted to adapt one of my favorite manga. I do agree the dialogue really gave it a 90's movie feel, but then again, that's when the source material came out. Recommended it to a friend when it came out and he was ambivalent. He contacted me a few days ago and said he watched it for the first time and loved it and should have seen it in the theaters. He was disappointed a sequel had not been locked in.

A few nit picky moments, that are not worth a mention as it didnt ruin the movie for me. This will be hard to beat as my favorite movie this year and its only feb. lol

@@AceDeclan Absolutely worth it. I watched the animation version before watching the movie again and wow they did a great job in keeping to the original, with a few minor changes. You can watch the anime on you tube, its about an hour.

Well now It is already 4 days out and watched it 4 times ... such a passionate , love , tragic (let's not denied it) story ... velocity of action combined with story etc etc ...must tell you so far never seen all this in one go ... In my humble opinion I think this kind of ART is on the meny now ... I dare to say , there are movies before and after this one. Kudos to everyone who helped with this...this ... masterpiece !!!

Yeah man screw the critics. Many of them have gone full SJW. Now they’re looking for movies containing characters that are more focused on their race or gender than what actually really makes them good characters. It’s pathetic. Because the eyes are specific to what Alita actually is.
(Spoiler warning for others.)
In Alita's flashbacks, you see others like her and they do have the same eyes. Other cyborgs don't have them because Alita is not one of them specifically. Alita is the last of her kind.

It's a coincidence... I lost my younger sister in 2016. In just some random day somewhere I saw a very small clip of this movie. I was stunned.. she resembles my younger sister. Her face is so similar, even more similar than the actual actress who played Alita in the movie. I was searching for this since then without knowing name or any thing about this movie but all went without luck and today I found it. 😊
I feel like I got to see Chhakul again, went on showing this to my parents too. In the series of unhappy things.. this is a happy coincidence. God bless all.
This is the BEST movie I have seen in years.. I was so impressed with the quality of the FX, story, acting (Christoph Waltz), a great alternative to Marvel and DC which are great movies but In my humble opinion ALITA is better, fresh something different, time flew watching it, so interesting and Alita's character is bad ass.. I left the movie theater with a feeling that I haven't felt in a LONG Time.. we need the TRILOGY !

Seen it Saturday, by far the Best Sci-fi movie I seen in years. Best Anime Adaption created. Love everything 😍. Seeing Alita eat chocolate for the first time was so adorable. Definitely buying it in 4k Blu-ray.

@@emachanworlds this is part of the comic there's maybe room for 3-4 more I believe if they push through the entire comic/anime. So fingers crossed too. As this style of thing is what we really need in some ways too. I watched so many reviews and so on one guy said that the movie is a mixed one of parts but lots more stuff that is in the comic/anime is still not shown. As Alita grows up and matures to a way and isn't one to be messed with. Supposedly even her boyfriend gets his head cut off further in the comic as such and she attached his head to her to keep his mind alive and built him a robot to be with her and so on. But none of that is in the movie so I recon a sequel.

Some people complain about the "world building" effect, and open windows at the end of the film, but i see it as a tribute to the manga. They may have translated the hunger you feal at the end of a volume to discover what's coming next.
This world is rich, and hope the audience let the filmakers come back and tell the rest of the story.

I saw captain Marvel 1st. Then I saw Alita. Alita is a way better movie and can not wait until they come out with a sequel. I hope it does well enough to get one. OS far the Best adaptation of a Japanese anime so far.

@@prapramonks1625 From what I've seen in the trailers, it has some of the Last Order's back story for Alita added in. For example, Alita didn't have the flashbacks of her previous history until the Last Order arc.
