- In this Nightscape Photography Adventure we capture Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks, do some Deep Sky Astrophotography of the Horsehead and Orion Nebula, try to shoot the Zodiacal Light, make a Landscape Astrophotography shot of Orion and do a tracked Winter Milky Way Panorama Arch over sea. Together with green Airglow, red Aurora Borealis also makes an appearance on the horizon. What more can you wish from a night out under the stars? These nights are the best!

Gotta love spring nights under the stars. Nice comet shots boys glad you got it during March
Thanks Alyn! Was super nice to be able to take the opportunity.
That was a great shot at 14:30.
Thanks for watching Gavin! Martijn really did an awesome job with this shot indeed 👌

Geweldige foto jonguuh! Goed gedaan 🙂 12 points go to the netherlands, lol.
Haha, dankjewel Wido! :-).
Love that comet composition, looked like a great night out 👍
It definately was, thank you!
Well that was an absolutely epic night!! Comet shots fantastic, but hands down my favourite was the panorama. Airglow + aurora 🤩. You must have been so pumped after so much cloud for so long. So pleased for you. Great video as always mate. 👌
Thanks so much Paul! The pano was also my favorite. It was so good to be out again, shooting so much diverse targets!
Love that Zodiacal light shot! Not overprocessed, but somehow saturation sneaks in more and more with your shots!
Yes... I call it the Jan effect ;-). Thanks dude!
Wow guys that pano... You've been "getrakteerd" :P . What a night.
Haha, thanks Rob! We were definately treated 😄👍
Great photos and night. You can never have too many ball heads and dew heaters. ❤
Haha, you make a good point there! 😁
Fantastic vlog! So many photographs in one night. Great work guys 👏🏻
Thanks Mark! It was indeed an exceptionally good night!
Fantastic Panorama-Shot! Those colours! Well done :-)
Thank you!
The pano is sooooooooooo nice 🤩🤩🤩 Great Job !!! 👍🏻
Thanks so much!
What? A Koen of light?! How did he get into this Zodiacal Light explanation?! ;-) I love it that you are putting extra though on a most realitstic composition from the same spot if possible. Don't let yourself be influenced by some random German dude too much though. :P Thank you for another great video!
Haha, Koen works in mysterious ways! And that random German dude seems to be mainly responsible for getting some more color in my results 😄. Thanks for watching again Jan!
My winter mw arc didn't look as yours, hoping to get a better one this year
Great job from both of you! Did you notice Barnard's Loop around Orion in your "slightly over processed" picture? It took me some time to make this visible last year. Beautiful results, I don't mind repeating myself 🤩
Haha, thanks Stefan! No problems repeating that 😝. I certainly noticed Barnards loop! Also the h-alpha gets a bit of a boost with that background extraction layer.
Brilliant video, I love seeing videos like this where your out taking photos and explaining what your doing and then seeing the results keep up the good work can’t wait for the next video 👍🏻
Thanks for letting me know Steve! Keeps me going 💪. Are you also photographing often?
What a GREAT vlog! Really really enjoyed that one :D man, I miss being out... Awesome images from both of you, that pano is awesome and its nice to see you two had such a successful trip.
Always great to hear from you Matej. Thanks! Really hoping that you also get some clear skies soon... maybe a sneaky little vlog even? 😉
@@StarScaperPhotothats always the plan :D till I open up Clear Outside :D I was joking with a friend yesterday that its probably better if I install world of warcraft back, because this hobby has such a big gaps :D
@matej.mlakar haha, lots of stuff to do on those cloudy nights indeed. We are not calling that app 'tears outside' for nothing 😉
Great work, thanks for sharing
Thanks a lot for letting me know you liked it! Keeps a man going 💪
Very successful indeed, I always get motivation from watching your videos.
That's very nice to hear and is exactly what I hope to achieve with the channel 👍
Cool pano! Wish I have a buddy to go shoot with. I want to shoot shoot Milky Way pano in April. Pretty nervous actually since I have never done it. Hopefully I will get something :)
You will manage I'm sure! Have to admit I also love shooting with a buddy.
What a productive night Jeroen, some wonderful images. Very jealous of the views you guys are getting of the comet. I've always had the best results capturing zodiacal light immediately before/after astronomical twilight starts/ends - seems to be when it's at its strongest.
Thanks Greg! I see your point on the zodiacal light. I almost forgot about it while shooting the comet, was about to set up for Orion already. I was afraid I was too late 😅
@@StarScaperPhoto Totally, my focus would be on shooting the comet too 🙄
Great job Jeroen! You definitely captured the zodiacal light there. Love the Orion pathway image. The pano is a fantastic shot. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you Tim! Really happy also with the Orion and pano images. Indeed I captured the zodiacal light, although I needed PixInsight to help it come out 😅. Really want to try again in the future when it's more clear. Did you ever manage to capture it?
@@StarScaperPhoto Yes. I was capturing a MW arch pano on the Welsh coast last winter and when I processed the images it was just visible.
Great Vlog Jeroen...! What a pleasure watching it...:)
Thanks again for commenting and letting me know Benjamin. Really appreciated! Maybe we'll meet sometime around your fantastic black forest home region?
@@StarScaperPhotoif you plan to come, let me know. Would be awesome to hang! Sure man, thanks for your great Vlogs, learned a lot from and enjoy watching them...:)
That's good to know, will let you know when I will be around Schwarzwald again!
Man wat gaaf zeg! fantastisch!
Thanks Niels!
Hey, I think everyone with the skywatcher staradventurer forgot at least once to put the slider on north or south😅 I certainly did too 😂
Haha, you're probably right!
Lucky you, I didn't have much luck with my winter mw, wow did you get so much detail?, I seem to be messing up every time I go out so far this season. Glad you were so successful
Detail comes from a combination of shooting over a dark sky combined with post processing. Hope you will have more luck soon!
Hi, great video. I try to find where this is. I am sailing in the netherlands, but I have not been there. Is this at the waddenzee, or the Ijsselmeer? There are windmills at the north of the Ijsselmeer at Kornwerderzand. Is it the coast of Friesland, or Noord Holland?
Hi Jens, thanks! This is in the little village of Petten on the North Sea coast in North Holland.
Thanks. Awesome place. 👏
