We missed finals by 1 bad umpiring decision (there were many, pick 1) and had the 2nd worst run of injuries in the comp. We'll go all out for a flag. Not saying we'll finish top, but I'd be unhappy if we didn't finish top 4.
We weren't great but really the rest of the league was on par, sydney I thought were the exception but lost quite convincingly.. After watching the finals, I thought we could have gone deep

Yeah, fundamentally we just traded a second round pick, we traded a future first that we don’t need, we traded 2 players who haven’t set the world on fire, we don’t need the 2025 first because of Tom McGuane who is a top 3 protagonist in next year’s draft

We played without a key forward at times. We can’t go into next year with the exact same key talls surely?
in the same boat of thinking as you. hayes would be one they’re looking at but not a key back or third option to cover murphy. could try switching a forward down there. reef? take a great mark but haven’t seen him defend much at all

Also, neither is a key defender. Moore is the weak link, and Quanor coming back to the field. To me the real benefit is to plug the gaping gap in defence .. the lack of contributions from Moore and the diminishing contributions from Quanor. The honeymoon of Quanor is over . He’s just not good enough. If 2025 is below standard, I’d move him on. Sorry, but true. And Moore’s 2024 form, skills and plays were almost deplorable, including those in the 2023 GF. He must improve, and needs to be given long stints in the forward line to gain confidence. Someone does need to teach him to kick better, starting from scratch. I’m getting sick of waiting for results from him. So Darcy, seek help from a skills, marking, positioning coach,especially, l and how to play on a defender. Moore has totally lost it in terms of judging the flight of the ball. At present he lacks the talent to do that, totally. He needs stints in the ruck too… oh geez

We didn't pay pick 13 we paid pick 36. 13 was never ours, at any point. It was gold coasts pick.
