Agreed, but some lines of bp's songs suit Jennie's range more than Jisoo. I think it also had to do with the vibe of their songs that usually sticks to their girl crush concept as a girl group.

Rosé's vocals make everything perfect and she can rap too. I just hope Jisoo gets more lines though (since rap is faster than singing), Jennie totally deserves these many vocal lines and Lisa also got good lines for rap and vocals.
Jisoo has the lead vocal position. Lisa has the lead rap position and because bp is a rap based group she has more lines. Jennie has two positions so she clearly has more lines. Rosé has the main vocal, so again she has more lines. So this means that the other member will always have more lines then Jisoo. If the group had a vocal based genre, than Jisoo would have more lines.

Rose rannge is obviously more larger than Jennie, I don't know why you think that Jennie is the most versatile. Rose has a beautiful lower range that is not that often used in their songs (because they have Jisoo who has low voice, also Jennie I think is using lower voice as well).

There is literally a "double-edged story" here. If Jennie gets more rap than vocals, the Lisa's fans will be angry, since the Lisa has only one position - the lead rapper. If Jennie gets less rap, but more vocals, Jisoo's fans will be angry, since both have the position of lead vocalist. Thus, Jennie is literally between two fires...and anger on both sides. There's nothing you can do about it... Jennie has two positions - lead vocalist and main rapper, so obviously she will be in any distribution (vocals and rap) in the top. She has great vocal skills and amazing rap, yg so time after time deprives Jennie of something (more often rap). In addition, she is the center, and they almost always have a lot of parties. She is responsible for both positions, why is it so difficult for people to accept this? Imagine if Jennie gets lots for both positions at once? Everyone will be furious... Just accept it. Jennie gets either one or the other, and it's better that way than if it's all at once. I would be glad if Jennie got more rap in the bside tracks, but probably the producers know and understand better how to make the song more successful and profitable for everyone
Imo position should be considered only during when idols debut because over time some idols improve and some idols regress so we should not bound them in their initial position. These position are only for reference i.e. how the company want to market them. One ex is Mina(Main dancer) and Jihyo(No dance position) but we know that Jihyo is technically more strong. Similarly here Jennie improved in vocals but still some people have difficulties accepting it so they always bring up their positions. I hope that fans stop this thing
People don't understand that having more position n being capable to be good at most thing will always be preferred. Jennie is like multitasking, she can sing n rap also her dance is not bad like ppl say she has good technique n body fluidity the only prob is energy which seems to minus it n make her look bad. I think many people have noticed that now the 4th generation groups are less likely to indicate the exact positions (main, vocal, sub), since the groups are full of talented rappers/vocalists/dancers and it is difficult to correctly award "main/lead/sub", since there cannot be 4 main dancers or 2 in a group at once the main rappers (this is rare). Now they write simply: dancer, vocalist, rapper. Without any additions. Although it is sooo interesting to know what more accurate positions the company would give to girls/boys of a particular group, but it is really better without it. Although when there are no clarifying positions, fans quarrel among themselves, arguing who is better than whom, which is also not good. But "hiding" positions is actually better. Even if Blackpink didn't have exact positions, Jennie would also be a vocalist and a rapper. (I know Kpop media and many fans thinks so because they just keep repeating those "main" and "lead" rankings to each other like it's some kind of religious mantra, but it's not true.) When they debuted, YG simply announced the specialties of the members, without any rankings. Jisoo's specialty was announced as vocals. Jennie's specialties were listed as vocals and rap...in that exact order. Lisa's specialties were listed as rap and dance...in that exact order. (You can fact check this by looking at the introduction graphics of the Blackpink Debut Showcase held in 2016 and also confirm that YG never mentions "main" and "lead" rankings anywhere (Melon and Kprofiles have never confirmed any such things with YG and are just repeating what others are repeating.) Some people have been brainwashed into thinking that Jennie ranks higher than Lisa (as "main") and therefore must be "more skilled" even though there is no real basis for that (other than subjective opinion of some people). Jennie was always supposed to be as much or more of a vocalist than a rapper. Even as a trainee, her first public appearance in a song was when she featured as a singer in a G Dragon song. She once told a story about her FIRST year as a trainee about how she was usually picked to rap in trainee group performances because she was the only one who could do the English raps. People twisted that story into her being the "main" rapper and often now claim (without any evidence at all) that only Jennie trained for all her years as a trainee as a rapper. It's not true. That situation changed after her first year. The other trainees also trained in rapping and were evaluated every month on rapping. Lisa was doing English rapping as a trainee when she started and there are even videos of her rapping in her trainee days. So much of what BP fans think are facts are just stories that fans make up to suit their own biases and prejudices. Even though Jennie has rapped extensively on around 9 or more songs, most Jennie stans just talk about the DDDD fast rap (and more recently the "up in the sky" rap in PV). They often don't even acknowledge that she rapped in her first part in KTL (even though it's as much a rap part as her rapping in SOLO). She often does a kind of sing-song rap. Some people recognize it as rapping some people don't. People who don't know BP and watch Ice Cream for the first time often call Jennie's part a sing/rap. As far as diverse rapping styles, Lisa did three completely different flows and cadences in Ice Cream alone. People who say she does the same flow all the time are not thinking or directly observing anything. They're just repeating the talking points made up by haters who basically want Lisa out of the group or just being a back-dancer.

I'm not sure what "being a center" would mean in a 4-girl group. She dance in the front/middle very often, so I think she is good. Blackpink isn't the most dance-oriented group, so perhaps it is not the best outlet for her to show her skills. I don't mind her singing at all, what I'm saying is; if you make Jennie a singer more than a rapper, then you have 3 singer and 1 rapper in a group that focuses a lot on rap. Jisoo has the lead vocal position. Lisa has the lead rap position and because bp is a rap based group she has more lines. Jennie has two positions so she clearly has more lines. Rosé has the main vocal, so again she has more lines.
So this means that the other member will always have more lines then Jisoo. If the group had a vocal based genre, than Jisoo would have more lines.

There is literally a "double-edged story" here. If Jennie gets more rap than vocals, the Lisa's fans will be angry, since the Lisa has only one position - the lead rapper. If Jennie gets less rap, but more vocals, Jisoo's fans will be angry, since both have the position of lead vocalist. Thus, Jennie is literally between two fires...and anger on both sides. There's nothing you can do about it... Jennie has two positions - lead vocalist and main rapper, so obviously she will be in any distribution (vocals and rap) in the top. She has great vocal skills and amazing rap, yg so time after time deprives Jennie of something (more often rap). In addition, she is the center, and they almost always have a lot of parties. She is responsible for both positions, why is it so difficult for people to accept this?
Imagine if Jennie gets lots for both positions at once? Everyone will be furious... Just accept it. Jennie gets either one or the other, and it's better that way than if it's all at once. I would be glad if Jennie got more rap in the bside tracks, but probably the producers know and understand better how to make the song more successful and profitable for everyone
Imo position should be considered only during when idols debut because over time some idols improve and some idols regress so we should not bound them in their initial position. These position are only for reference i.e. how the company want to market them. One ex is Mina(Main dancer) and Jihyo(No dance position) but we know that Jihyo is technically more strong. Similarly here Jennie improved in vocals but still some people have difficulties accepting it so they always bring up their positions. I hope that fans stop this thing
People don't understand that having more position n being capable to be good at most thing will always be preferred. Jennie is like multitasking, she can sing n rap also her dance is not bad like ppl say she has good technique n body fluidity the only prob is energy which seems to minus it n make her look bad. Jennie was chosen too have 2 position so she should get both. I understand Jennie gets more lines than jisoo but she has wider range n stronger, also more comfortable to sing the high range. Jisoo on the other hand is not comfortable to sing high n if she force her to do she might strain badly. So asking more lines can only lead to bad straining if the parts didn't suit for her range. Her you never know n the happiest girl was perfect example where to be used Jisoo's range perfectly.

I think many people have noticed that now the 4th generation groups are less likely to indicate the exact positions (main, vocal, sub), since the groups are full of talented rappers/vocalists/dancers and it is difficult to correctly award "main/lead/sub", since there cannot be 4 main dancers or 2 in a group at once the main rappers (this is rare). Now they write simply: dancer, vocalist, rapper. Without any additions. Although it is sooo interesting to know what more accurate positions the company would give to girls/boys of a particular group, but it is really better without it. Although when there are no clarifying positions, fans quarrel among themselves, arguing who is better than whom, which is also not good. But "hiding" positions is actually better.
Even if Blackpink didn't have exact positions, Jennie would also be a vocalist and a rapper. She develops in both directions and really improves, so it's not surprising that she gets one or the other more than someone else. In addition, it all depends on the songs themselves. And many of their tracks fit Jennie 100%. For example, Jisoo is suitable for songs like You never know or The happiest girl (ballads), respectively, she received much more lines there

As the most skilled and diverse rapper in Blackpink, Jennie was really not given enough opportunities to shine. The fact the Lisa is so overwhelmingly favoured by the label in this area creates a situation where Jennie is assigned vocal part, which could be more fairly distributed to Jisoo, whose main talent is the vocal. It just makes more mess.

(I know Kpop media and many fans thinks so because they just keep repeating those "main" and "lead" rankings to each other like it's some kind of religious mantra, but it's not true.) When they debuted, YG simply announced the specialties of the members, without any rankings. Jisoo's specialty was announced as vocals. Jennie's specialties were listed as vocals and rap...in that exact order. Lisa's specialties were listed as rap and dance...in that exact order. (You can fact check this by looking at the introduction graphics of the Blackpink Debut Showcase held in 2016 and also confirm that YG never mentions "main" and "lead" rankings anywhere (Melon and Kprofiles have never confirmed any such things with YG and are just repeating what others are repeating.) Some people have been brainwashed into thinking that Jennie ranks higher than Lisa (as "main") and therefore must be "more skilled" even though there is no real basis for that (other than subjective opinion of some people). Jennie was always supposed to be as much or more of a vocalist than a rapper. Even as a trainee, her first public appearance in a song was when she featured as a singer in a G Dragon song. She once told a story about her FIRST year as a trainee about how she was usually picked to rap in trainee group performances because she was the only one who could do the English raps. People twisted that story into her being the "main" rapper and often now claim (without any evidence at all) that only Jennie trained for all her years as a trainee as a rapper. It's not true. That situation changed after her first year. The other trainees also trained in rapping and were evaluated every month on rapping. Lisa was doing English rapping as a trainee when she started and there are even videos of her rapping in her trainee days. So much of what BP fans think are facts are just stories that fans make up to suit their own biases and prejudices.
Even though Jennie has rapped extensively on around 9 or more songs, most Jennie stans just talk about the DDDD fast rap (and more recently the "up in the sky" rap in PV). They often don't even acknowledge that she rapped in her first part in KTL (even though it's as much a rap part as her rapping in SOLO). She often does a kind of sing-song rap. Some people recognize it as rapping some people don't. People who don't know BP and watch Ice Cream for the first time often call Jennie's part a sing/rap. As far as diverse rapping styles, Lisa did three completely different flows and cadences in Ice Cream alone. People who say she does the same flow all the time are not thinking or directly observing anything. They're just repeating the talking points made up by haters who basically want Lisa out of the group or just being a back-dancer.

I'm talking about line distribution here, rather than promotional aspects, which are less relevant. I don't think BP would do a solo dance break, it's not really their vibe but Lisa was able too showcase her skills through multiple outlets like her solo work (3 songs being the most out if of all the girls) + the Lili film, being a mentor on a dance show and the stage she had on some award show early on. I'm not sure what "being a center" would mean in a 4-girl group. She dance in the front/middle very often, so I think she is good. Blackpink isn't the most dance-oriented group, so perhaps it is not the best outlet for her to show her skills. I don't mind her singing at all, what I'm saying is; if you make Jennie a singer more than a rapper, then you have 3 singer and 1 rapper in a group that focuses a lot on rap. It's bound to cause some issues with line distributions.

Meanwhile Lisa is the most talented (my opinion) and most versatile (fact) member of the group. Yes, contrary to what trolls victimising Jennie say, she RAPPED on The Album, too - in 3 songs - and RAPPED on Born Pink. It doesn't make sense that the Main rapper doesn't rap in most of their songs and literally I don't think Blackpink is that rap heavy in terms of music, their line distribution can be much more fairer if Jennie shares the rap parts with Lisa instead of literally given all rap part to Lisa

Imo line distribution is fair. Obviously the line goes to who fit the lines the most. All members get fair amount of lines. And in Jennie's case, if she raps, then she sing less and if she sing then she rap less according to songs. She kinda balance the group, that's what I like the most about her
