@@YANKEERC Actually not, visual position have nothing to do with it. It's a commercial position just as FOTG, not involved with actual screentime. Visuals tends to be promoted as the beauty of the group and gets promotions as ads, being MC, sometimes being actors, invited in variety shows to promote, etc; good examples are Suzy, Irene, Tzuyu, Miyeon, Eunwoo, Jinyoung, Dayeon, Wonyoung, etc; even Jisoo herself did all of that. Many of them didn't even get the most screentime unless they have another position as Main something or Center (as Irene or Wonyoung).

1. Positions
Positions are important, lines are given based on them as well as the member's voice and how much the voice fits the song.
Official Positions:
JISOO - Lead Vocalist, Visual
JENNIE - Main Rapper, Lead Vocalist, Center, FOTG
ROSÉ - Main Vocal, Lead Dancer
LISA - Main Dancer, Lead Rapper, Sub Vocal
RANKINGS OF VOCAL POSITIONS:
Vocal:
1. Rosé
2. Jennie
3. Jisoo
4. Lisa
Rap:
1. Jennie
2. Lisa
3. Jisoo
4. Rosé
As you can see, JENNIE is the only member who has the two vocal positions (we dont count sub vocal cause that's just for the harmony and background). So naturally, JENNIE will have the most lines, given that she is the group's best rapper and second best vocalist. Her voice is also the signature sound of BLACKPINK songs and her voice is the most versatile, it fits every genre. She handles background vocals and harmonies.
ROSÉ is the Main Vocalist, and the main vocalist always gets the most vocal lines. She has the best vocal technique, the highest range and the most stability. She handles a lot of background vocals.
LISA is the Lead Rapper. Since JENNIE is given vocal lines more, LISA takes care of the rap. She is also a sub vocalist, for harmonies.
JISOO is the Lead Vocalist. But the group already has 2 strong vocalists who are better than her. Her voice stands out, but BLACKPINK'S songs are almost always too high-pitched for her. It falls out of her range. Her voice is very nasal most of the time.
2. Blackpink Sound
Blackpink is a rap/hiphop based group. JENNIE'S and LISA'S voices fit it the most perfectly. They are given the choruses most of the time, cause BP choruses are always empty with just words and JENLISA pulls it off.
ROSÉ and JISOO put a great contrast to the heavy hiphop sound, but JISOO'S voice doesnt suit it. Her lower register is godly, but YG rarely gives her the opportunity to showcase it.
Every group has a member whose voice is the most memorable. For BP, it's JENNIE. That's why it's always her who starts the songs and has at least one chorus. So she naturally has more lines.
3. Is it anyone's fault?
No. Line distributions are given based on the members and group's image. JENNIE fits BP concept the most. ROSÉ is the strongest vocalist. LISA handles rap. JISOO is the unique sound.
Saying that xy member is the "favourite" because she has the most lines is wrong and ridiculous. Producers and Arrangers know exactly who fits the line the most. They are the professionals, not you.
So all the JISOO stans who are sad:
Yes, JISOO deserves to have many lines. But she is in a group, where the other members' talent overshadow hers because they fit the sound more than her. She is talented too, dont misunderstand please.
You can see that in ballads, she has a lot of lines. It's because that's her genre. She doesnt really fit BP's hiphop style.

(you cant give least lines to the main vocal, besides its a freaking MAIN position)

(she contributes in both the aspects just like jennie)

(I know its unpleasant but jisoo only have one position vocally and it's not even main like rosé. So she will def get least line especially when BP is a Rap-based group)

Blackpink has a really equal line distribution. Sure Jisoo (and sometimes Lisa too) gets robbed big-time once in a while, but it's still decent and the graph at the end shows that. It's not on Itzy's level of fairness but it's not as bad as some blinks say

Honestly, people are exaggerate when it comes to their line dist. I always see pwoplw saying "its so unfair its only jenlisa ft chaesoo". Its really not honestly. Their line dist is pretty okay. Yes, jisoo could (and should) have a little more lines, but its not like shes silent in bp songs. Please, everyone. There are groups with much worse line dist, blackpinks may not be the fairest, but its not bad either. considering the fact, that most of bp songs are rap based, it all makes sense for overall lines.

The line distribution is actually quite fair. BLACKPINK is a rap based group so Jennie a main rapper will be first. Then we have rosé who is main vocalist second. Then Lisa lead rapper in a rap based group with more rap time than Jennie in third and lastly jisoo lead vocalist and visual in fourth. Jisoo should get more screen time though.

She is Main Rapper so she should be second/third but since she is lead vocal + second best vocalist and have a strong voice that is a good base for songs she should be second (actual)/first but not in a big deal
*3. Lisa (F+)*
She lead rapper but holds the most of rap parts bcz she can't have lots of vocal parts since it's not her speciality but she has that sub-vocal position that counts the vocal parts so she should be third(actual)/fourth if in future she will train her vocals and if YG will finally count Jennie Main rapper position
*4. Jisoo (E+)*
She has only one postion that counts in lines - lead vocal, her voice is so unique so it's sounds good for an break from base but not that often she should be fourth(actual)/third if YG would give them more vocal-based songs without repetive parts, bcz as you see, Jisoo don't have that much repetive parts

@@lenajagielnik She has the hardest solo choreo, had the hardest dance moves in group dances, went on dance shows, filmed lilifilms and is the member thats been in the centre the most at the end of each dance. Dancing is also different from singing cause you can't really just expect only Lisa to dance and the other members to stand there awkwardly while singing. They're all trained in dance and will dance but Lisa still does the harder moves. E.g her doing the splits move in dkwtd
