My only dissapointment with hfw is that there arent any rebel tremortusks to kill in the world that arn't bound to a mission, heres hoping they add that in the dlc's
There's literally only one.. That's very dissapointing. They even made it a whole different collector edition! At least they could have put some in rebel camps
I think a big clue to the dlc location is right there in the end credits as you fly past the dam area. The music gets slightly more ominous and the camera rotates itself to show that direction on the map. The clue has been there all along.
I got distracted halfway through HFW by Elden Ring. Just started over yesterday. Its already so much smoother and looks much better than on release. Theyve improved the experience quite a bit
Yeah man. I had no motivation to play HFW after ER. But starting over completely fixed it in my brain. I just felt like I was too far removed from the atmosphere of the game every time I tried started to play my save. Which sucked since I know its a great game. Now I'm pumped to play again. Worked for me

@@JasperAGhost hzd was my first ps4 game and my first platinum ever and later I sold the console with the acc and had to platinum the game again just recently on ps5 and there is not any other mount than the ones mentioned above.

@@That_Guy- I don't need to blame them. I platinumed it and haven't touched Elden Ring yet. If anything Sony deserves praise for their efficiency during shutdowns. Look at Insomniac. Put out Ratchet, Miles, and now working on Spiderman 2 and Wolverine. God of War was because Kratos's actor had a disease or something get took several months to get over.
Blame Elden Ring. I don't understand why so many love that game. I can definitely see how it would appeal to the more non-casual, hardcore gamer who enjoys dying a lot and repeating the same shit, over and over, but people like that are not the majority of players. The majority of people are casual gamers with limited time during the day to spend on playing games. Or not enough interest to take games seriously. Horizon games ought to appeal to people in the middle of those two extremes, right? Not casual but also not hardcore enough to be off-putting. That sounds like the perfect mix of both worlds to me. And yet, for whatever reason, this time it's the hardcore game that's the clear winner. At least commercially speaking. In terms of gameplay and enjoyment, I think that Forbidden West is easily its equal. There's less of a challenge, of course, but at least there IS a story to follow and an intriguing lore to get invested in. Elden Ring, on the other hand, is rich on spectacle, but piss-poor when it comes to narrative and any deeper intellectual ideas. It's essentially an action film where you create your own money shots, as opposed to Aloy's story, which is concerned with not just "looking cool" but actually has something to say about the human condition and how easily our self-destructive tendencies can have disastrous effects on our entire planet. So for all it's flash and splash, I don't think Elden Ring can compete with Horizon on a grander level. And I also don't like how the Souls games let you SKIP things you don't want to do. That feels cheap to me. I mean, if you're playing a HARD game, would you feel good about yourself if you RAN AWAY from boss encounters? I wouldn't. And in Horizon, I don't have to feel bad, because you need to fight everything the game has to throw at you in order to level up and progress the story. And that's how it should be, I feel. Ideally.

Developing the base should be a focus at some point, maybe custumizing allies gear etc perhaps allowing them to follow you in the open world just an idea
They really need to seriously buff those "Instant" legendary status coils. 2% chance is useless. That's 1 proc every 50 arrows. If the monster isn't dead by the 49th arrow, you probably will be.
I use them on my Hunter Bow and it definitely triggers more often than 2%. the number put me off at first, but when I actually used it, I was pleasantly surprised at how often I get it. And If you're gonna be fighting small machines, I think you're better off using Sun Scrouge instead of relying on instant Status Effect chance.
Wait, shellsnappers are only found in the desert? I 100% found one on one of the islands around San Francisco... it scared the crap out of me because it suddenly lunged out of the ground at me, I guess i walked on it while it was sleeping

I’d assume right after the tutorial when Aloy first arrives to the forbidden west similar to ng+ in the first game. Any side missions that are focused on getting beginner gear will just be available to replay again
So when are they going to fix the issue about how your screen goes '' black '' or randomly opens the loading screen while mounted on a sunwing during flight? It's been happening quite alot lately that I avoid flying completely!
They also fixed the icon for "ranged defense". Before patch 1.13 it looed lie it did in ZD, now it loos like an arrow. I like that because in ZD it was never really clear what "ranged defense" even included. Its still not clear to me but the new symbol lets me think it is really just impact damage from normal Arrows, I an live wih that. Also the (to me useless) "All defense +3%" icon is new but I don't know if that was already earlier the case.
I wish they’d fix “easy loot”, there are some machine parts that you still don’t get if they are still attached when you kill a machine like on those monkey machines. The only way you can get their tails is to shoot them off before killing them. The feature needs further enhancing beyond that like not allowing critical salvage parts like sac webs to be destroyed by elemental explosions. This is very annoying on Fire & Frost Claws. Why call it “easy loot” if it doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to?
Yeah, I hated farming Fire and Frost Claws for that reason. They are the only enemy I avoid too. I have never liked fighting them since the Frozen Wilds DLC. Great enemies with fun moves but I am not good at games so I do not enjoy the fights like I do with other larger enemies.
They did that on purpose. You can read in the machine catalog which parts are destroyed on death and which survive, plus killing the machines without destroying the sac webbing is meant to offer an interesting challenge, though I admit fighting a fireclaw that way is pretty much the most annoying part of the game. I don't mind their system, I just wish they gave you a bigger variety of parts needed for the legendary gear so you're not constantly fighting the same things over and over.
in regards to fire claw webbings, as long as it's a regular fireclaw, it should have 4 shock canisters on it's back. you should be able to get 3 critical strikes, then hold R2 for a strong attack into a resonator blast while its down. rinse and repeat 3 more times. Hope that helps!
The worst thing about fighting Fireclaws in Forbidden West is how terrible their spawn locations are. The second worst thing is that their eruption attack automatically target's Aloy's location regardless of whether it knows where she is or not.
yes ahhh thanks for addressing the mystery of Plasma Fanghorns and Frost Clamberjaws i like farming and getting absurd amounts of items and have 360 fiberzest and 724 vigorstem and it took manual work to get those stashed so i am especially thankful for this patch haha
There's a secret Shellsnapper site on the island west of the memorial islet, you can get there by following the island chain east from the San Francisco Tallneck.
@@danh2309 they're based on bears. And this is just speculation, but I think the Frostclaw is based on a brown or black bear and the Fireclaw is a grizzly cause they're much larger and more difficult to take down
6:00 you can see them while doing the missions “The wing of the ten” (when you overdrive a flying mount for the first time) if I’m not mistaken, but you CAN’T fight them cuz the game doesn’t let you dismount from the SW mount :/ but the dev can 🥲

I have an idea. Notice the Sunwing in the background? I think the player flew high above the Slitherfang, jumped off their Sunwing, then used the Shield Wing to glide until they were in the perfect position to let go and freefall to just above the Slitherfang to take the screenshot
They also changed some of the character designs in different parts of the game. For instance Darikka and her granddaughter, these two use to have that”Winged Mohawk” look”. Now they have blonde ponytails.
Just want them to change the awful UX/UI of the Potion Scroll/Mount/Traps etc into a secondary weapon wheel design. Similar to Death Stranding or MGSV.
Hi JorRaptor. Love the show, super awesome and helpful lots of info. 1 place where I found a shellsnaper as well is one of the islands close to the Spine Dino by the boat place. There's a few islands, but the island with some trees has a shell snapper that pops out of nowhere and a broken house too that has some goodie... But lame ones. Hope this helps

There are i-frames. They’re just at the beginning of the roll instead of the middle and end. So if you’re used to dark souls style rolls, it’ll throw you off.
I just wish that Guerrilla Games would make a future update for ng+ mode, the dlc pack and with the utaru outfits when you disabled the headpiece the flower petals on aloy wouldn't show but now when you disable it they still show it should give us a option to disable it.
Wish they would fix that when you scan a machine for weak points, then use Valor surge, the weak points disappear meaning you have to rescan. Also, as far as the Valor Surge is concerned, ditch the animation. I hated it in preview videos, knowing it was going to kill combat pace. Same goes for the slow mo jump when climbing. Unnecessary 90% of the time, as we've seen Aloy do far crazier stuff without the slow mo...
As much as I want New Game+. this game has a ton of bugs, so I'm glad they are patching up and I'd rather they prioritize that instead of adding new stuff till that's done
I need to add something about photo mode there is a difference when you doing outside or in the village or base you can't move the camera freely , they could update that sometimes I want to do photo in the settlements but can move the camera there
I still think they should make photo mode automatically switch to better graphics mode, with a note saying so. Who doesn’t switch to the best graphics for photo mode??

To be honest on New game + it wouldn't hurt that the excuse of "lost my gear on the way" was written out and the same with over ride knowledge etc. Just let you fly from the beginning.
I runned up seeing the Apex plowhorn what you have to do is kill consistently a bunch and I mean a ton of regular plowhorns.... the mechanic never changed in order to get them to spawn you first have to defeat many many of its regular variant for it to show up.... I will end up finding it on normal difficulty setting when I was close to say maybe level 45 I decided to go off look for them.... their spawn rate is just very very very very low so you couldn't see reconsider them the rarest machine in the game
I think the DLC will be coming Aug 21st, one of the missions you do. I think it's the secret island one has a codec entry and it says something like look up to the skies on August 21st and say them burn
Speaking of hidden machines, there is one in the digital art of Horizon forbidden west. There is a parasaurus machine that is not at all in the game. Could it be for the dlc?
I also had a glitch when you do the race track. The 2nd 3rd and 4th time in a row I was in first place got within 100 feet of the finish line and it returned me to screen where Aloy is on the shore with 2 sunwings and 2 clawstriders. When I get back in I'm 2nd or 3rd
I was playing right after the update. I didn’t take much notice at the time of it. But still too many jank & bugs. The set piece thunderjaw fight with Drakka, my thunderjaw very considerately stuck its head in a rock like an ostrich and couldn’t back out. So I just stood there and shot bombs and arrows till he dropped dead. 🤨
I was gonna ask about the State of Play mission and how it wasn't within the final game. It seems the story changed heavily as the storm that was brewing was gone? Kinda sucks, but oh well.
That mission was never going to be in the game. It was created purely as an advertisement. Like, we knew even back then that it took place on the Isle of Spires aka San Francisco, which is ALL the way on the west coast. Aka a late game location, since of course we would be starting in the east and traveling west. There is no way that we would play thru the whole game up to that point and not encounter enemies with overridden machines, since they were hyped up as a new enemy type. And in the SOP quest, its clear that Aloy is encountering them for the first time. Theres a bunch of other little details that make it clear that the quest was scripted for the SOP (ie Aloys voice line about grabbing a mount).
There is also at least one frost clamberjaw carcass you can scan during the mission in the Zenith Base (usually means there are ore, how high are the odds that I just scanned the only one). I mean why would they call a machine "Fire clamberjaw" if there is no other elemental version, they usually don't do that. I think either it will be part of a DLC or they had just too many ideas so some of them had to be left out so the game would not get too big, same with the fanghorns.
I wouldn't know but the way it appeared in the trailer it made me think of "Morla" from the Neverending Story. She appears just like the Shellsnaper in the Trailer

(but I also had the "Fieberzest and Vigorstem don't ge send to stash once pouch is full" and thx to patch 1.13 its fixed now, I just love Overdraw potions :) those two come from "food plants" too, not just medicine berries. 3. I am doing a replay right now and have the problem that the status from the contract "Plowhorns and Plants" does not update once I reach the Plowhorn site It stucks with the "Go to Plowhorn site" status. If completed (I remembered from the first playthrough that I need 6 plants and kill and loot the 2 Plowhorns) the dialoge with Handa is as it should be and if all contracts are done it even unlock the last one and markes Handa as "completed", he marked Plowhornside turns to normal (no plants but a Clawstrider added) so getting the plants and Plowhorn loot is not repeatale and the rewards for P&P is not given and the status contract remains open. I just hope that does not interfere with getting the armor after doing all contracts. Online I found others with this bug but it seems to be very rare so it doesn't even show up in the "known issues" and thus it seems unlikely to be fixed soon. Some player had issues with collecting the plants, that I read about I ca just assume that it coms from Gurillia trying to fix the plant problem. And out of the sudden everything seems easier then finding the reasons for bugs like that. :)
Depends on your play style, really. If you only play for story, nothing. I usually am like that. Story is over, game will not be played. HFW is the first game where I actually do loads of stuff ages after ending all the missions and side quests. I am trying to get and upgrade all weapons and outfits and it's taking me a long time. But it's still fun.
Hey @jorRaptor, would you be so kind to tell them to fix the bug that, camera is FIXED in photomode during Silent Strike animation in HFW, I reported several times but they just ignored me. It's a downgrade to me since the camera was free in HZD. I want to take some action photo of Aloy but I can't since the camera is fixed. Would really appreciate if you could help!
Guys/girls I fought a shellsnapper at one of the islands just below San Fransisco yesterday but it doesn't say there is a shellsnapper site there. I can't find anything on it and none of the shellsnapper sites reviews on RUclips mention this one. Is it a newly introduced one with update 1.13??
There are several "unofficial" machine sites, a storm bird with a dread wing as room mate in the mountains, a third dreadwing site at the beach near Zenith base, the shellsnapper you encountered.. I don't now why some are not listed as spawn sites but to me it makes things more interesting. Thus I won't mind more Stormbirdsites or have the only one earlier accessable.
I have a bug with the tallneck northwest of the base, the one you do in the wings of the ten mission, right after the mission, the tallneck icon disappeared and the map didn't unlock
Yeah, I've gotten at least three Apex Sunwing hearts in my playthrough. Which is interesting, because, like you said, there aren't any Apex Sunwings. Maybe they'll be a part of a DLC??
The game has alot of unused potential for more fun and fixes. - Missing Classes for adding more Skills, Weapons n Talents, like Scavenger, adding a Harpoon Gun and Underwater Combat Spear/Harppon Skills with talents, that improve the number ofShards we get, increase drop chances of loot, increase the value of loot we find in chests and let chests respawn to ensure, theres always to find stuff while on exploration - Improviser - for more skills n talents based on shot off heavy weapons to add Heavy Weapon Skills too, making it easier too shoot them off, increase their ammo loads n add as new weapons the missing Frozen Wild Weapons Flamethrower, Frost Thorn and the Electro Gun, in an improved way that it is not anymore killing youtself constantly with it when overcharging it, at least if you wear full Electro protection Armor to mitigate that deadly recoil grounding it - More interesting tools to explore the world would be nice, like a oil lamp to see in extreme dark areas better, where youd see nothing if you have no source of light, and upgrades to the existing tools, that allow Aloy to swim n dive faster, dodge better/with more range, increase the range of the grappling hook ect. - add missing machines and more new ones, like the sabertooth, tramplers. - improve overriding, adding a way to override apex enemies, they really overexaggerated it with apex enemies, theres barely anything in the game, that you can override and use for your advantage in hozizon 2, because the whole game is flooded with apex enemies everywhere, making overriding as tactics for your playstyle mostly useless, which was in part 1 one of the most entertaining ways to play the whole game, using machines just for your own purpose, to get strong enemies distracted, or weakened enough, that you had an easier game with them. It would be also alot more fun, if Aloy would get in hacking machines so adept, that she learns to directly control and command them, like a true machine summoner basically, once you override a machine often enough to get full mastery over its "control systems" so that if you want to, you just override say a Claw Walker and then PLAY AS IT, controling it instead of Aloy, that hides meanwhile then in a bush, using the machine s mechanics, weapons and skill directly..how freaking fun would it be to control a shell snapper, to control it then and cause with it havoc against other nearby annoying enemies, drawing that way their full attention to your controlled machine. I hope, once NG+ gets added, that they increase the caps then also again, but not a lousy 60 again, but this time at least to 80 to add alot more character progression for Hozizon 2 using all that unused potential of Aloy to make the game alot more fun. You earn so much exp quickly in this game, was already 50 just by doing side quests n kills , not having done all 3 functions, only 60% done of the game. There is enough potential for easily lvl 80
Is anyone else not able to finish the arena challenges anymore? After I kill all the machines it doesn't go to the victory screen, to get out of the arena I have to forfeit.

Yes, yes, and yes. I agree. Especially after meeting Seyka and having her join the team, am totally in need of some sort of "companion" feature.

Are you using it with the elemental arrows or just high impact tear arrows?

When i played i was able to get 2 2% corrosive for a 4% chance and it procced a decent amount.

I wonder where in the story we will get dropped in with NG+ since a decent amount of time in the beginning is spent on building back Aloy's arsenal and tactics. Thoughts?
I’d assume right after the tutorial when Aloy first arrives to the forbidden west similar to ng+ in the first game. Any side missions that are focused on getting beginner gear will just be available to replay again
So when are they going to fix the issue about how your screen goes '' black '' or randomly opens the loading screen while mounted on a sunwing during flight? It's been happening quite alot lately that I avoid flying completely!
It's because you're traveling so fast that the game is struggling to load everything in.
I can tell you one mod icon they fixed; Drenched Enemy Damage. It used to just be the water droplet symbol but now its the proper target image.
They also fixed the icon for "ranged defense".
Before patch 1.13 it looed lie it did in ZD, now it loos like an arrow.
I like that because in ZD it was never really clear what "ranged defense" even included. Its still not clear to me but the new symbol lets me think it is really just impact damage from normal Arrows, I an live wih that.
Also the (to me useless) "All defense +3%" icon is new but I don't know if that was already earlier the case.

I wish they’d fix “easy loot”, there are some machine parts that you still don’t get if they are still attached when you kill a machine like on those monkey machines. The only way you can get their tails is to shoot them off before killing them. The feature needs further enhancing beyond that like not allowing critical salvage parts like sac webs to be destroyed by elemental explosions. This is very annoying on Fire & Frost Claws. Why call it “easy loot” if it doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to?
Yes! I just spent FOREVER shooting a fireclaw in the head to avoid blowing it up cause of those sac webbings.
Yeah, I hated farming Fire and Frost Claws for that reason. They are the only enemy I avoid too. I have never liked fighting them since the Frozen Wilds DLC. Great enemies with fun moves but I am not good at games so I do not enjoy the fights like I do with other larger enemies.
They did that on purpose. You can read in the machine catalog which parts are destroyed on death and which survive, plus killing the machines without destroying the sac webbing is meant to offer an interesting challenge, though I admit fighting a fireclaw that way is pretty much the most annoying part of the game. I don't mind their system, I just wish they gave you a bigger variety of parts needed for the legendary gear so you're not constantly fighting the same things over and over.
in regards to fire claw webbings, as long as it's a regular fireclaw, it should have 4 shock canisters on it's back. you should be able to get 3 critical strikes, then hold R2 for a strong attack into a resonator blast while its down. rinse and repeat 3 more times. Hope that helps!
The worst thing about fighting Fireclaws in Forbidden West is how terrible their spawn locations are. The second worst thing is that their eruption attack automatically target's Aloy's location regardless of whether it knows where she is or not.

i like farming and getting absurd amounts of items and have 360 fiberzest and 724 vigorstem and it took manual work to get those stashed so i am especially thankful for this patch haha

There's a secret Shellsnapper site on the island west of the memorial islet, you can get there by following the island chain east from the San Francisco Tallneck.
When I stumbled across that site, it scared the hell out of me

@@danh2309 they're based on bears. And this is just speculation, but I think the Frostclaw is based on a brown or black bear and the Fireclaw is a grizzly cause they're much larger and more difficult to take down

6:00 you can see them while doing the missions “The wing of the ten” (when you overdrive a flying mount for the first time) if I’m not mistaken, but you CAN’T fight them cuz the game doesn’t let you dismount from the SW mount :/ but the dev can 🥲

i fought him last week, took me like 1 hour of hit and hide in the next bush because even if he doesnt see you he will fire the last bush you hit him from

I have an idea. Notice the Sunwing in the background? I think the player flew high above the Slitherfang, jumped off their Sunwing, then used the Shield Wing to glide until they were in the perfect position to let go and freefall to just above the Slitherfang to take the screenshot

They also changed some of the character designs in different parts of the game. For instance Darikka and her granddaughter, these two use to have that”Winged Mohawk” look”. Now they have blonde ponytails.

Hi JorRaptor. Love the show, super awesome and helpful lots of info. 1 place where I found a shellsnaper as well is one of the islands close to the Spine Dino by the boat place. There's a few islands, but the island with some trees has a shell snapper that pops out of nowhere and a broken house too that has some goodie... But lame ones. Hope this helps

You can't sell resources to vendors. The menu will briefly land on resources before switching between the listing above and below it.
I dont have this problem myself. Have you tried other vendors? Completely closing the game and loading it back up?
I had the same problem. You can circumvent that issue by using the D pad. At least it works for me on PS4.
Damn I am so glad I waited till May to get this game this is a lot of bugs and issues to Eliza game with it's always better to wait and avoid spoilers to get a better product later
San Fran has a shellsnapper, on that little island close to the mainland.
I remember going there curiously exploring and saw a metal flower. Right as I was about to disable it the shellsnapper popped up from under and scared the shit out of me. Was really cool tho

I would love a dodge roll with actual invincibilty frames so fights don't result in Aloy getting bounced around like a ping pong ball 99% of the time.
There are i-frames. They’re just at the beginning of the roll instead of the middle and end. So if you’re used to dark souls style rolls, it’ll throw you off.
NG+ and a transmog for the armor and I’d be set till the DLC release!
I don’t remember fighting rebels on tremortusks. That looks super fun.

I just wish that Guerrilla Games would make a future update for ng+ mode, the dlc pack and with the utaru outfits when you disabled the headpiece the flower petals on aloy wouldn't show but now when you disable it they still show it should give us a option to disable it.
The rebel camps and outposts are some of my favorite parts of this game. I would love if the rebels respawned like AC Odyssey.

Wish they would fix that when you scan a machine for weak points, then use Valor surge, the weak points disappear meaning you have to rescan.
Also, as far as the Valor Surge is concerned, ditch the animation. I hated it in preview videos, knowing it was going to kill combat pace.
Same goes for the slow mo jump when climbing. Unnecessary 90% of the time, as we've seen Aloy do far crazier stuff without the slow mo...

As much as I want New Game+. this game has a ton of bugs, so I'm glad they are patching up and I'd rather they prioritize that instead of adding new stuff till that's done
I need to add something about photo mode there is a difference when you doing outside or in the village or base you can't move the camera freely , they could update that sometimes I want to do photo in the settlements but can move the camera there
I still think they should make photo mode automatically switch to better graphics mode, with a note saying so. Who doesn’t switch to the best graphics for photo mode??

I'm really looking forward to New Game +. I'm on my second playthrough, only doing side missions, very over-leveled for the main story now LOL
All I'm asking for in New Game Plus is to let us get the flying mount earlier in the game, at least whenever we reach the Base.
To be honest on New game + it wouldn't hurt that the excuse of "lost my gear on the way" was written out and the same with over ride knowledge etc. Just let you fly from the beginning.

I runned up seeing the Apex plowhorn what you have to do is kill consistently a bunch and I mean a ton of regular plowhorns.... the mechanic never changed in order to get them to spawn you first have to defeat many many of its regular variant for it to show up.... I will end up finding it on normal difficulty setting when I was close to say maybe level 45 I decided to go off look for them.... their spawn rate is just very very very very low so you couldn't see reconsider them the rarest machine in the game

I think the DLC will be coming Aug 21st, one of the missions you do. I think it's the secret island one has a codec entry and it says something like look up to the skies on August 21st and say them burn

I also had a glitch when you do the race track. The 2nd 3rd and 4th time in a row I was in first place got within 100 feet of the finish line and it returned me to screen where Aloy is on the shore with 2 sunwings and 2 clawstriders. When I get back in I'm 2nd or 3rd
I was playing right after the update. I didn’t take much notice at the time of it. But still too many jank & bugs. The set piece thunderjaw fight with Drakka, my thunderjaw very considerately stuck its head in a rock like an ostrich and couldn’t back out. So I just stood there and shot bombs and arrows till he dropped dead. 🤨
I was gonna ask about the State of Play mission and how it wasn't within the final game. It seems the story changed heavily as the storm that was brewing was gone? Kinda sucks, but oh well.
That mission was never going to be in the game. It was created purely as an advertisement. Like, we knew even back then that it took place on the Isle of Spires aka San Francisco, which is ALL the way on the west coast. Aka a late game location, since of course we would be starting in the east and traveling west. There is no way that we would play thru the whole game up to that point and not encounter enemies with overridden machines, since they were hyped up as a new enemy type. And in the SOP quest, its clear that Aloy is encountering them for the first time.
Theres a bunch of other little details that make it clear that the quest was scripted for the SOP (ie Aloys voice line about grabbing a mount).

There is also at least one frost clamberjaw carcass you can scan during the mission in the Zenith Base (usually means there are ore, how high are the odds that I just scanned the only one).
I mean why would they call a machine "Fire clamberjaw" if there is no other elemental version, they usually don't do that.
I think either it will be part of a DLC or they had just too many ideas so some of them had to be left out so the game would not get too big, same with the fanghorns.
Maybe the tree covered shellsnapper at 5:30 is a reference to Chaurli in God of war?
I wouldn't know but the way it appeared in the trailer it made me think of "Morla" from the Neverending Story.

I found Apex machines spawn more at night than the daytime
This has worked for me everytime. If Apex isn't there, just kill regular, fast travel while it's still night to the spot and Apex is there.
Hopefully NG+ comes soon. Would love to start a new game with all my stuff!
Part of me wants to absolutely 100% this game to prep it for a NG+ save, but another part of me doesn't want to get sick of it before then.
1. They also changed the icon for the "ranged defense" weave. It used to loo like it did in ZD and resembles an arrow since patch 1.13
2. How come I can carry 35 Fiberzest? (but I also had the "Fieberzest and Vigorstem don't ge send to stash once pouch is full" and thx to patch 1.13 its fixed now, I just love Overdraw potions :) those two come from "food plants" too, not just medicine berries.
3. I am doing a replay right now and have the problem that the status from the contract "Plowhorns and Plants" does not update once I reach the Plowhorn site
It stucks with the "Go to Plowhorn site" status.
If completed (I remembered from the first playthrough that I need 6 plants and kill and loot the 2 Plowhorns) the dialoge with Handa is as it should be and if all contracts are done it even unlock the last one and markes Handa as "completed", he marked Plowhornside turns to normal (no plants but a Clawstrider added) so getting the plants and Plowhorn loot is not repeatale and the rewards for P&P is not given and the status contract remains open.
I just hope that does not interfere with getting the armor after doing all contracts.
Online I found others with this bug but it seems to be very rare so it doesn't even show up in the "known issues" and thus it seems unlikely to be fixed soon.
Some player had issues with collecting the plants, that I read about I ca just assume that it coms from Gurillia trying to fix the plant problem.
And out of the sudden everything seems easier then finding the reasons for bugs like that. :)

I think the error they fixed was one of the dual element coils was showing only single element or was it the other way around.
Yeah. I remember a couple of them showed up with just the single plasma icon. Glad they're fixed now.
What else is there to play for once you completed every quests?
Depends on your play style, really. If you only play for story, nothing. I usually am like that. Story is over, game will not be played. HFW is the first game where I actually do loads of stuff ages after ending all the missions and side quests. I am trying to get and upgrade all weapons and outfits and it's taking me a long time. But it's still fun.
They advertised that Rebel Tremortusk so hard and end up only using it once.
Hey @jorRaptor, would you be so kind to tell them to fix the bug that, camera is FIXED in photomode during Silent Strike animation in HFW, I reported several times but they just ignored me. It's a downgrade to me since the camera was free in HZD. I want to take some action photo of Aloy but I can't since the camera is fixed. Would really appreciate if you could help!

Guys/girls I fought a shellsnapper at one of the islands just below San Fransisco yesterday but it doesn't say there is a shellsnapper site there. I can't find anything on it and none of the shellsnapper sites reviews on RUclips mention this one. Is it a newly introduced one with update 1.13??
Your point? There’s machines all over the map that aren’t designated to a site.
There are several "unofficial" machine sites, a storm bird with a dread wing as room mate in the mountains, a third dreadwing site at the beach near Zenith base, the shellsnapper you encountered..
I don't now why some are not listed as spawn sites but to me it makes things more interesting.
Thus I won't mind more Stormbirdsites or have the only one earlier accessable.
I have a bug with the tallneck northwest of the base, the one you do in the wings of the ten mission, right after the mission, the tallneck icon disappeared and the map didn't unlock

Yeah, I've gotten at least three Apex Sunwing hearts in my playthrough. Which is interesting, because, like you said, there aren't any Apex Sunwings. Maybe they'll be a part of a DLC??
Question. Mt ps5 went in for repair. Will I lose my save data?
The game has alot of unused potential for more fun and fixes.
- Missing Classes for adding more Skills, Weapons n Talents, like Scavenger, adding a Harpoon Gun and Underwater Combat Spear/Harppon Skills with talents, that improve the number ofShards we get, increase drop chances of loot, increase the value of loot we find in chests and let chests respawn to ensure, theres always to find stuff while on exploration
- Improviser - for more skills n talents based on shot off heavy weapons to add Heavy Weapon Skills too, making it easier too shoot them off, increase their ammo loads n add as new weapons the missing Frozen Wild Weapons Flamethrower, Frost Thorn and the Electro Gun, in an improved way that it is not anymore killing youtself constantly with it when overcharging it, at least if you wear full Electro protection Armor to mitigate that deadly recoil grounding it
- More interesting tools to explore the world would be nice, like a oil lamp to see in extreme dark areas better, where youd see nothing if you have no source of light, and upgrades to the existing tools, that allow Aloy to swim n dive faster, dodge better/with more range, increase the range of the grappling hook ect.
- add missing machines and more new ones, like the sabertooth, tramplers.
- improve overriding, adding a way to override apex enemies, they really overexaggerated it with apex enemies, theres barely anything in the game, that you can override and use for your advantage in hozizon 2, because the whole game is flooded with apex enemies everywhere, making overriding as tactics for your playstyle mostly useless, which was in part 1 one of the most entertaining ways to play the whole game, using machines just for your own purpose, to get strong enemies distracted, or weakened enough, that you had an easier game with them.
It would be also alot more fun, if Aloy would get in hacking machines so adept, that she learns to directly control and command them, like a true machine summoner basically, once you override a machine often enough to get full mastery over its "control systems" so that if you want to, you just override say a Claw Walker and then PLAY AS IT, controling it instead of Aloy, that hides meanwhile then in a bush, using the machine s mechanics, weapons and skill directly..how freaking fun would it be to control a shell snapper, to control it then and cause with it havoc against other nearby annoying enemies, drawing that way their full attention to your controlled machine.
I hope, once NG+ gets added, that they increase the caps then also again, but not a lousy 60 again, but this time at least to 80 to add alot more character progression for Hozizon 2 using all that unused potential of Aloy to make the game alot more fun.
You earn so much exp quickly in this game, was already 50 just by doing side quests n kills , not having done all 3 functions, only 60% done of the game. There is enough potential for easily lvl 80
did they fix that one glitch on the mission with drakka?
I remember I would get stuck going into arrowhead so I would have to have to enter it through the back entrance so annoying !

Is anyone else not able to finish the arena challenges anymore? After I kill all the machines it doesn't go to the victory screen, to get out of the arena I have to forfeit.
