You can craft fast travel packs by holding down on the first travel pack icon if you collect wood and kill animals in the wild you will have enough to craft the 50 packs and save wasting shards on it
I liked it, but it felt kinda redundant when rocks were supposed to do the same thing. Like I pretty much never used rocks outside of the tutorial because I could just use the lure whistle and I was usually trying to get them to come to me. So I feel like that's why they took it out, because rocks have more uses than the whistle. Whistling you could bring them to you or scare herds of more docile machines away, but with the rocks you can lure them to you or to a different point so you can slip by them.

Same dude. I finished downloading around 1 AM then started playing around 2 thinking I'll just complete the prologue. But I played for 3 hrs and still was done with it..
I like the fast travel system that they've done here. Now instead of needing special equipment to fast travel to only the campfires, the fires are free and the fast travel packs actually seem to have a purpose because they can take you anywhere you want when you aren't at a campfire.
Yeah I like it too. At first I didn't cuz I didn't realize it was free from campfires, but it feels like they kinda merged the unlimited fast travel and the regular ones from the first game in a really nice way that doesn't make the fast travel packs obsolete but also doesn't make always have to use them. Plus they're really cheap/easy to craft yourself (which you should be doing cuz 20 shards builds up for sure and that's better used for upgrading weapons/outfits than on fast travel packs)
@@anyssae no, because that's where the fast travel packs come in. The fast travel from campfires is free but if you need to travel and aren't anywhere near one you can use a fast travel pack from wherever you are to any campfire or other viable location you choose. And the fast travel packs are cheap to buy from merchants or you can also make them yourself at work benches.
I’m still playing dying light 👀, I hate that we went from having nothing for months to literally dying light 2, horizon, and elden ring, and to top it off it looks like they’ve finally fixed cyberpunk. How am I going to find the time for all of this😅
Cyberpunk is exactly the same on next gen. The graphics look EXACTLY THE SAME!!! I played it again out of curiosity and it’s the same glitches, crashes, and issues. The game is just flat out broken.
To be honest I was kind of bummed I couldn’t give Aloy her seeker face paint until like 30% into the game. I always just used that facepaint so Aloy looked naked without it to me. There is also a lot you just have to kind of skip over because you don’t have the needed tools so you have to go back when you finally get the tool. Still obsessed with the game I’ve been playing none stop.
I'll be honest, I'm happy that they removed the permanent shield weaver armour and turned it into a valour surge. I used the shield weaver all the time and it was a little too overpowered so now i can just play normally with a challenge instead of just destroying everything in my way.
The clawstrider is my favorite mount as well but I just wish they were faster. It’s believed bc of its muscle structure raptors were very fast creatures so idk why they made the clawstrider so damn slow
7:37 I like to explore and I'm playing on Very Hard so if anyone is just starting the game and is playing on Very Hard, I would STRONGLY recommend picking up this Valor Surge in the Surv. tree....it will save your life and will keep you sane (in real life) when fighting enemies that are slightly higher lvl than you or "boss" encounters.
You forgot the most *IMPORTANT* hidden feature: Custom Difficulty. I keep seeing reviews either bemoaning the lack of an Easy Loot option in the game, or praising the accessibility settings for having exactly *THAT!* Turns out, the ones who knew about it and other such features forgot to mention that you need to set the difficulty to Custom for them to even show up! Thankfully I figured this out before reaching the Forbidden West proper, but clearly a good number of people are going to set their difficulty at the start of the game (where Custom isn't an option) and never touch it again.
Yeah. It's good for people like me who like it on hard, but hate needing to shoot off resources. I was lucky enough to find out about it early by checking settings
I am so glad that you can change the time of day now because 40 minutes from morning and 40 minutes for nighttime not being able to change it was really annoying
Never played zero dawn, but I’m curious about this one. I love open world games with tons of quests, exploration etc. I’m gonna give forbidden west a shot and hopefully it’s worth it
Quick note that you can craft travel packs like you can craft potions and traps. Do miss that perma travel pack, though! I do think that the machine outlining in the focus was better in ZD, but could be me. The only other thing in FW that totally drives me crazy, though, is that mounts like to get stuck at bridges, or if there is an overhanging non-passable object (like defunct Old World machines) by the road. Brings you to a dead stop and can be troublesome during races. Not sure if this is a PS4 problem or if it's something across platforms. However, a lot of things were improved with FW, like the additional weapons, dyes and face paints, FLIGHT! Some pretty epic new machines, too.
I have the opposite problem in my controllers. I tend to have random deadzones in my sticks so I nudge the stick the slightest bit in the wrong direction and suddenly my sprint grinds to a dead stop
I wish there was a customize option that’ll allow you to wear one outfit but with another outfits stats so you CAN wear any outfit you love without discarding it cuz of the bad stats
this game is something else...lvl25 side mission where you have to fight 2 ravenger and thunderjaw back to back, and also another mission where have to fight a lvl 30 t rex and lvl 35 mammoth at the same time. lol already 40+ hour still lots to explore .love this game

If you are swimming and are about to drown, you can use a fast travel pack to get out. Also if you bring up the weapon wheel, you can then press R3 to sheath your weapon.

There's no more golden fast travel pack. You can however go to a campire and travel for free to any other camp fire you have come across. If you're out in the while and however want to immediately travel to a campire in town or otherwise, it does cost 1 travel pack.
Haven't completely played this because of time. But my question is, come end game time, would I still be able to melt large machines in 5 seconds like in zero dawn? Or would it be fun like early game fun? But still with options to melt everything in your path?
I just wish when you put tools into the stash like normal blast traps it would take it off the quick switch on the dpad. I tried storing all the normal traps since I have max advanced traps and the normal traps are still there on the dpad quick swap. Scrolling thru 30 items in the heat of battle is a pain in the ass. Or if they can’t fix that they should at least make time slow just like when you open the weapon wheel

This game is AWESOME, and also very hard. I literally can’t beat the aether, Poseidon, or the demeter misison. So this video might help me a lot if it actually shows how to get weapons.

Hi i just have a problem with mine, after scan the tower in plainsong to find visual scenery, when attempting to find it, after pressing the r3 button there was an option to turn it off and on by pressing down button on the d-pad, after disabling the image and fought some machines, i tried to open up the the image to find the location for the image, it wont show up anymore, please help is it a bug or not. Thanks
Same as the first game pretty much, it auto-saves and then you can quick save or manual save at campfires. They did add where it saves at the beginning of quests so that if you have trouble you can load back to the beginning to get out of it though.
The ones with arrows are advanced or elite variants of elemental arrows which deals more elemental damage and elemental build up than the regular counterparts
I'm not sure if it's a bug or not but if I remember correctly in the first game when you unlock a campfire it turns green but so far in my place through they stay White is anyone else having the same issue
Can’t wait for my job to pay me so i can buy this game. I put so many hours into the first game that when I finished it the first time i did very hard new game+ and though that was too easy so i did new game very hard and still found it too easy. So i cant wait for this.

7hours and I'm just now stepping into the forbidden west.
The starting area is huge and I'm in awe of how big it is beyond the wall
About 7-8 hours in till I actually entered the West. The side quests and the beginning was an easy way to eat up time.

I used the shield weaver armor to beat Zero Dawn on Ultra Hard.

You can fast travel to your base for free, from anywhere, then go to the bonfire and fast travel to wherever you want on the map.

That's what the "Apply Look" feature is. Equip the outfit you want for the stats, then go to the outfit you want to wear and press triangle

Just finished the game story and some optional quest. They really raised the standards high as hell... Hardly gonna get a better game
