Imagine she told the traveller everything when the house was going to the court room, and she failed on the same day the prophecy was happening, after 500 years
I feel like it's likely that hoyo will make the game depressing by destroying Fontaine on screen because we didn't have that kind of thing happen, or keep the tradition going by making the mighty Traveler save another nation yet again, it's like a loop, I'm starting to think that the theory wei🔆 cooked for us about Tevyat being in a samsara was actually true or at least partly true. There is something that not many pay attention to about Fontaine's story in Genshin and that is that it seems that they are giving character development to Furina.
Although no one notices it, Furina is (until before version 4.2) the character that is being given the most development behind the scenes while characters like Neuvillete and Navia took center stage.
As we know, Furina is aware that she has a not-so-good reputation, since in Fontaine's first event they tell us the life of a toy salesman and mention that Furina put people on trial for treating her like a fool (although Furina doesn't takes this seriously and does not give real punishments, it is almost a joke but it does not mean that she is aware of what they think of her), they tell us that they see her as a pet and when we see their secondary thoughts when being in a trial against her and As she steps back when she sees the nobile power, we can see that she has serious problems with confidence and low self-esteem and that she keeps negative emotions to herself, and we can notice this when we can listen to the fontaine fountain where she is heard crying imploringly for something to end... I can also mention that Neuvillete said that Furina made the great effort to travel through the 7 nations to find some information to counter Fontaine's prophecy but that she feels helpless because she found nothing and what is worse , Arlechino had no problem emphasizing how useless Furina is.
Furina is an archon in a nation of self-sufficient technology in which they no longer need gods to survive and Furina knows it, she desperately seeks to be useful in something and stand out (hence her conceited way of being)...
ps: If we add that Arlechino is a citizen of Fontaine, you realize that they don't have much respect for Furina and Furina knows that and wants to change it. She wants to be useful and respected and Arlechino tells us that she returned home crying without being able to sleep after being assaulted.
If Hoyoverse knows how to take advantage of opportunities, as someone who has written stories more than once, I can say that it is the perfect time to mark a breaking point, a situation where Furina can't take it anymore and decides to explode... Let's see if they know how to take advantage of the opportunities. character growth opportunities...
i actually want this to happen. no matter how hard we try, fontaine still falls. and once that happens, genshin's tone will shift to a more darker tone, just like honkai impact

The question is, if Hoyo WERE to make this happen, how would they work the upcoming playable Fontaine characters in? Would they make it so that they somehow flee to other nations to escape the disaster and have their story quest take place there? And what of all the other unexplored areas in Fontaine? The more you think of it, the more unlikely it would be the case (sadly. Though part of me would be very excited (and scared) if they were to take this route)

the traveller kinda saved fontaine. the trial was meant to happen, and so was the traveller calling her out, if it didn’t i‘m pretty sure the prophecy would come true. and plus people were saying things like “furina worst archon” “furina is so annoying” before her lore was fully revealed and now the traveller just called her out for being a fake (which had to happen so focalors would be executed which will save fontaine) everyone is saying “traveller is such a bitch who only cares about their sibling wahhh wahhh”
if you travelled nation after nation helping SO many people with SO many problems and they don‘t even care about your lost sibling/put up a missing person paper and be done with it i think how the traveller currently behaves is not bad at all. when the travller literally saves everyone nation after nation, now they saved another nation but they gave less of a shit he’s “arrogant” and “cruel”??? the traveller had no reason to thank furina, this may sound harsh and i adore furina but traveller had no personal connection with her yet he still saved her and fontaine.
yes, we were a dick in the trial, but wasn‘t the fandom a dick to her before ACT 5 of the archon quest?? the travller was MEANT to be a ”dick“ for the sake of furina’s charecter. Furina‘s persona as the hydro archon is stubborn and arrogant, so in the trial we can call her out for being that way, the writing that ”she was annoying“ was intentional. after that we get to know the truth that furina was only acting arrogant to save fontaine, and then people are calling out ONLY the traveller for being a ”dick“ when other charecters like neuvilette and navia also didn’t give a shit but nobody said they were a shit. shouldn‘t they be more grateful than traveller since they are actually from fontaine???
also, people say that the traveller is a basic ass charecter who “helps people from nations is very nice and i want my sibling back.” for 4 nations straight. but can’t you see he‘s slowly beginning to give less of a fuck? i mean helping multiple nations from idk getting destoryed by a demigod/super water monster and without getting proper thanks is pretty infuriating, considering almost nobody actually cares about finding your sibling. plus spending so much of your time on each nation and helping everyone again and again and again while getting the same ending where nobody knows where your sister is, it'll probably make someone batshit insane, but traveller is only "caring less of everything'. the traveller has pretty good patience and tolerance. people call out the traveller for only caring about their sibling but the nations only care about their own things too. traveller caring less about each nation and focusing on their sole goal of their entire life is an interesting character development and it's done well, this information that "the traveller gives less shits now" is done really subtly but clearly. this is why, when a character acts "objectively bad" it doesn't mean it's bad writing, but maybe a start to someone good. *cough cough furina cough*
conclusion:
1. traveller had no reason to care for fontaine
2. we were made to believe that furina is a flimsy and fake archon and she‘s stubborn, so we would believe the traveller in the trial when she was called out for being stubborn. so it's completely sensible when the traveller calls her out. this was intentional writing for furina so it's sensible when traveller was disappointed in her for being stubborn because that's all we were shown about furina after ACT 5 (except some subtle foreshadowing, *cough cough voice from fontaine sobbing "im so lonely" cough cough furina crying in possion*
3. traveller calling her out was MEANT to happen in the prophecy (you can reference this from the mirror scene with furina and focalors). because it will save fontaine.
4. everyone in the fandom was a dick to furina, hell, even MORE than a dick. the traveller couldn’t even compare, atleast they didn‘t insult her for being arrogant. (i know the fandom loves her now but before everyone was shaming on her)
5. it's reasonable why traveller would start caring less about the nations. that's completely reasonable giving their circumstances. the traveller
is getting character development and is changing and i'm down for that because it's a good thing.
anyways sorry for going on a tangent and i hope you guys understand where i’m going from lol. keep in mind i don't understand every single plot point in fontaine and i haven't finished her story quest. if i'm wrong please correct me

Furina is so f-ing strong mentally.
Any people the moment of the game over Sentence announcement could have snapped like the Joker.
The primordial sea water rose as Furina was sentenced to death by the Oratrice, however, instead of erasing focalors, only furina's conscience was sentenced, Focalors took her place while the Opera Epiclese started filling with water, all of the fontainians started dissolving while the Traveller watched, and while Neuvilette could stop a single point source, the water was coming from everywhere, the windows, the floor, the ceiling.
Focalors could only watch as the prophecy was fulfilled, she didn't have the energy nor the skill to use her incredible power to try and stop the water from entering the opera house.
A voice started talking to Focalors
"What a shame, to not be able to beat a prophecy"
All of the opera floor was flooded
"You replaced yourself with a human for 500 years, instead of confronting ourselves directly, you have proven yourself unworthy of leading a nation"
The water rose to cover the seats, where some fontainians were cinging to, they dissolved
"you have proven yourself unworthy of creating life, as you cannot save it"
The water was reaching the high balconies
"From the very beggining, you, the god Focalors... You have utterly failed to take action"
The water filled the whole opera, dissolving Furina, only leaving behind Focalors, crying.

Maybe we'll see this in Snezhnaya. The Archon there lost love for her people, as did the people for her. Perhaps, as a result of something (for example, Pierrot’s betrayal?? Idk, anything is possible) Tsaritsa will open her eyes to the whole situation in the country. Maybe after that we'll see a similar scene as in the video.
