Furina is such a well written character, the best archon really.
I'd say Nahida is on par with her. be wanted to protect Sumeru at all costs. She had to act when the sages escalated their megalomaniac wishes although she had so many insecurities.

you know we have to agree people of fontaine represents the furina haters in the community. they wanted and expected Furina to act as a god and they got what they wanted but they still are not satisfied. they judged her before knowing the true her and her reasons and now they want to love her. nah its too late, haters dont deserve her.

not everyone disliked Furina from the start. some really love her overall and was excited so much for her but then started to dislike her on how she handled many things while acting as hydro archon role that even after focalors' reveal and sacrifice that happened in 4.2, they can't like her on par with nahida/rukkhadevata, dendro archon.
but fontaine is really better than how Inazuma's story was done. hoping upcoming regions Natlan and Snezhnaya would be way better than the rest.

Furina persisted what had to persist... No more, no less and from experience I can tell you that many in reality what they could least stand was her personality and not her decision making and that is made clear by a phrase that was widely used before "Sassy brat needs correction💢"

Nope... she deserves none. Focalors was the one that died and made then ultimate sacrifice.... Nahida was imprisoned for 500 years and her people hated her. Furina lived a cushy life for 500 years. Nahida had it worst. If anything the people of sumeru should apologize to nahida.

Only through her sacrifice were the people saved from the prophecy and furina can finally live out her life as a normal human being. Rest in peace, focalor. And I hope furina can live happily ever after from now on.

Fun fact (but very far-fetched) about Furina: She watches us from the beginning of our adventure in Teyvat.
Mission 4.2 "The Masquerade of the Guilty" clarifies that Furina spread informants throughout Teyvat to obtain information about the prophecy, in addition, in version 4.0 we realize that she knew in advance about our arrival from an informant from Fontaine who was following us from Sumeru when we said goodbye to Dehya and it is said informant who notifies Furina of our arrival and that is why she appears so ostentatiously before us at the entrance to Fontaine (it is because she was already prepared) at first glance it seems that actually watched us from Sumeru but then comes the Furina demo uploaded to the Genshin Impact channel, a demo that is not a normal demo, it has several indirect messages and spoilers about "The Masquerade of the Guilty" that few realized, but in In this demo we can see how Furina creates strange events with Fontaine characters such as Spina di Rossula arresting Neuvillete, the scene is copied from Signora arresting the traveler while hitting Venti, then, a bunch of Melusinas chasing Childe, which is actually the scene of the traveler escaping from Liyue's soldiers because the traveler was suspected of the supposed "fall" of rex lapis only they changed the soldiers to Melusinas and the traveler to Childe, then, you can see Clorinde pointing a sword at Wriothesley and the The scene is copied from the traveler pointing his sword at the Signora in Inazuma... Among other scenes.
Having said all that, this implies that Furina knows about all these events and that, it seems, Fontaine's informants were following us and informing Furina from the beginning... I underestimated Furina too much.
In the end, her greatest duel (trial) was against us. And even when she "lost", she (Focalors) won. It was all part of the plan.

I think as soon as she learned about us she knew the Traveler was the key to ending the prophecy. Mirror Furina told her that everything will resolve in One. Last. Dramatic trial. So here comes we, drama and story following us through out the nations. So when we came to Fountaine Furina kinda jumped the gun to try and get us into a trial as soon as possible in the hopes that it would be that last dramatic trial her double told her about. Looking for any excuse to get us in the court. Which is why she came off as a bit incompetent and childish at the beginning. She's actually very smart and probably knows the laws as well as Neuvi at this point, but she got too excited when we showed up.

I cant tell if she's tryna pull of a london accent or not...
I think that's just their accent. Since although Furina uses complex words to convey her thoughts, she still has an American accent with hints of French every once in a while.
I've heard similar accents from women who come from Germany so there's a chance that they might come from around that area.

For some reason this is giving me Jesus vibe. Idk, it’s just that the story kinda match up beside their personality. A god descend as a mortal being, give promise for a good future if they can give their trust, walk on water and perform miracles, but got rejected later on and was faced with potential death, for they will sacrifice themselves to cleanse the sins from the world. For the people that they love, of whom they too may one day return.
Not to mention that Folcalor used concept of Holy Trinity and made herself into Holy Duality
