    Did same install on my Rebel. Important part at 20:10 where you discuss alignment of steering wheel hub to plastic piece on column. If you don't get that alignment right, the plastic piece will wander around when turning and make a clicking sound. DAMHIK.

    Just received mine today. It looks sweet. Can't wait till this weekend to put it in. Mine looks just like yours, except mine has the blue stitching and blue line on top. I have the 2021 Rebel. Is removal the same as the 2022? I also wanted to buy the plugs for the heater cable but can't find them anywhere. If you have the link for them. Can you share it, please?

    • @WaterFowler41
      @WaterFowler41  9 месяцев назад +1

      There are links in the video description to the plugs, I’m not sure where you can buy them so you’ll likely have to do some internet browsing to find the parts. May be easier just to removed the plugs and reattach to your new wheel

    Looks awesome man. I loved my Hellcat's Carbon steering wheel, felt so nice in the hand, and something about the Carbon fiber glistening in the sun. How was Zen to work with? So I have a question regarding the installation.. I followed these steps and after my install was complete I went to test drive the truck and noticed multiple clicking sounds and thinking it’s the Clockspring. Is this something common that goes bad? It was working fine before I did the swap.

    • @WaterFowler41
      @WaterFowler41  Год назад +1

      There’s a white tab inside the clock spring that is pushed down when the wheel is installed. Yours might not be fully depressed hence the clicking.
      Pull the wheel off and take note of where the wheel collar touches the tab and add some strips of tape on that spot so when the wheel is reinstalled, the tape helps push the tab down completely. The tape acts as a spacer.

    • @JustinRCole
      @JustinRCole Год назад

      @@WaterFowler41 I’ll try this now, here I thought I needed to replaced the clockspring..

    • @JustinRCole
      @JustinRCole Год назад +1

  • @JayNoQuarterReagan
    @JayNoQuarterReagan Год назад

    So my question is if the original heated stuff for the steering wheel had male plugs couldn’t you just have ordered the female plugs and connected it that way instead of cutting/splicing? Just in case you EVER decided to trade in the truck or just wanted to go back to factory? Obviously for those of us wanting to do mods to a truck that’s not the case but in some instance some people might want to.
    Just asking not criticizing, just was an observation.

    • @WaterFowler41
      @WaterFowler41  Год назад +1

      You can but I have no idea where to order those nor did I know exactly which plus I was dealing with until I opened the wheel. I wasn’t about to wait a week for new parts while my steering wheel was ripped apart.
