1:29-1:45 Ralathor: It's dark outside, Zargothrax. Here's some light. Angus: It's about to rain, Zargothrax. Go inside. Hootsman: You stink, Zargothrax. Take a bath. Prometius: You look angry, Zargothrax. Chill out.
It seems much darker without the music somehow. This version showcases the animation nicely. I actually concentrated on the story, not getting distracted rocking out to the awesome song. Its nice they posted this version as well.
Wow! crazy that you guys actually shared this with only the SFX. It was a pleasure Sound Designing this for you, I see that you added extra layers of ambient to it, that's cool.
I absolutely love how the animation plays it completely straight. We know Gloryhammer as the cheesy, goofy lot they are, but taking that away, we have some great music, and a decent, if not terribly complex story. I also feel like each album not only exceeds the previous in terms of quality, but also improves upon the previous, as we learn more about the characters and setting each time. I hope for album 5, they develop Ralathor and Proletius more. We know about the McFife dynasty, The Hootsman, and Zargothrax, but I feel that Proletius is the most underdeveloped character.
The touch of the muffled words from Angus is a nice one. You gotta wonder is that Angus 'singing' the song. Or is it him going ' oh...hi there... I wasn't trying to hit you with this hammer ....honest?' cue getting thrown around by Clone Zag. I love that this can stand on it's own from the music.
@@gloryhammer So we have the first, the thirteenth and now the second? Cool, only ten more albums and maybe we'll have covered all the Anguses. Unless of course you go the Spiderverse route and just have a bunch of them team up at once. With how the storyline has been going over the last four albums I almost expect that to happen at some point.
@@gloryhammer If it's Angus McFife II, does that mean that they had motorcycles in the 11th century? Because the original Gloryhammer timeline with Angus McFife I plays in 992 (since the 2nd and 3rd album handle Angus McFife XIII in 1992, 1000 years later)
I would say this is historical moment, because here we can see one of the best and epic animated music videos of all time. Hope more people will get acquainted with Gloryhammer and see it. You guys are the best, this is what power metal was created for. Hoots!
From now on, I just want animated videos: old videoclips were grant and campy and all, but this is a masterpiece! Besides, refreshing seen the video adding to the lore. Alex Henderson, you are amazing and super talented!
And all this is under the music in the regular music video? _Wow_. The total lack of background music gives it a vaguely similar to feel to the Astartes series. I'm not sure it'd carry a tv series-length affair, but it'd still be extremely cool to see more of this sort of thing.
I love that we now really get to explore Christopher's secondary world. You really feel this is actually his main project and Alestorm is just for fun :). Amazing guy!
Zargothrax asmr to relax and take over Dundee to
True this is gloryhammer asmr

2:14 the runes translate to: "Abandon all hope, those who trespass upon the fortress of Crail"
lol I never even noticed those. That' sgreat!
Zargothrax grabbing the playbar and rewinding the video is such a cool move. I seriously cannot get enough of this music video.
Technically that is Zargothrax's clone.
This works shockingly well on its own. The lack of music gives me strong Samurai Jack vibes, especially towards the end.
That's how you can tell its a really good animation.

If this was a backdoor pilot for a Glory Hammer streaming series, then I would watch it.
We gonna be getting a full version of that synthwave version of the song? It's pretty damn good
I hope so, its really awesome!
Hope this will become full animated story =D
I love it even more than the original song. :D
Wow! crazy that you guys actually shared this with only the SFX. It was a pleasure Sound Designing this for you, I see that you added extra layers of ambient to it, that's cool.
It was you?
You nailed it dude!

Never woulda known that was going on if I didn't tune in to this sfx video, and I love it 😂
2:27 Interesting, Angus is the only person in this video who isn't *completely* mute.
Interesting bit of detail here: Even the Zargothrax clone is unable to break the original's prison on his own.
I love the part where he says
"HMM MM MMM MMM" *muffled angus noises*
@@alexmidyett7749 may be this is not angus at all
@@jaded_messiah It's Angus McFife the 2nd in that scene

Whoever made this deserves a raise
nooooooooow it feels like a shortfilm!!!! I got more details of the story! Congrats for the animation! Keep em coming! I think we all love this!!!!
i'm not sure if it was intentional or not but reading your comment caused me a P-2 flashback
Now do an ASMR where Zargothrax shaves me with the Knife of Doom and gently whispers one-liners in my ear.
From now on, I just want animated videos: old videoclips were grant and campy and all, but this is a masterpiece!
Besides, refreshing seen the video adding to the lore.

So much love and attention to detail went into this. This is what happens when true artists get together.
The best version of this animation would be a synthwave/orchestral version of the music with this SFX on top.

the animation is, well, glorious!! wonderful work everyone
this is so hot & powers my metal, three of my favorite things in all the universes, SFX, animation & Gloryhammer, thank you!!! 🤘🤘🖤🎶🔈🔉🔊💗🙌
This is such a fine piece of animation it doesn't even need a song. I love it
3:20 - free shortcut to the synthwave
2:27 Angus is trying to tell us something hahahaha
This is just cool as hell!
Best animated metal video ever!
I'm not sure if the muffled Angus noises or the extended synthwave puts it over the top. Both? Both.
2:56 the biggest fuck up in the history of Dundee, Fife and probably Scotland at that.
This feels fanmade with all the added sound effects
Music video without the music? This is the stupidest consept ever and I am 192% here for it.
ASMR
Wait, those are the half-life 2 bouncy energy ball sound.
omg this is amazing 😭😭
Time to do a reverse amv of this
this is so cool
could unironically be a tv show
This is so cool!
I did read a thumbnail really wrong...
This feels like the intro to a movie or something
epiccc
Uhmm... Extra dvd with the animation for the whole plot of the album? Wouldn't mind :>>>>>>
Hey, do smb know why this video contradict with the whole storyline? Is this another universe or smth like that?
This is back in the original universe. Zargothrax has awoken his clone in the year 1022 to rewrite history.
@@gloryhammer wow, this is so cool, thanks. Thought about this for a long time xD
now get some voice actors nad composers and make a series. please?
cursed version
I...can't be the only one who misread the title as "SEX ONLY" can I?
Nah. I'm sure anyone visiting from The Lion King's fanbase did too.
Who animated this? It looks early 2000's Don Bluth
I don't know if this is fanmade or official, but this is top notch sfx.
Its official
odd
The compression really fucked this video, otherwise amazing content
Basket merch when
this is so awkward without the music lmao
