I just won one in a bike rally raffle, The Howa M1500 American Flag APC version. I can't wait to shoot it, but it's 5 degrees outside, so I'll have to wait.
Give the 130 OTM a try...43 grains of H4350 and the Berger 130 OTM is super deadly on Deer and Antelope...I have taken about 15 antelope....use small rifle primer and you should get about 2940 FPS with a 26 inch barrel....I get 1/4 group in 3 different 6.5 Creeds....
Best option for your dope is to buy the Kestrel 5700 with Applied Balistics....it is pricey, but with it you get all the AB custom drag curves....Rather than using BC which changes based on bullet speed, Brian Litz developed data for the actual bullet drag...i have used it on all my guns and every time I use the custom drag curves they are dead nutz on...plus with the kestrel you will get the correct wind hold and it updates the temp, humidity, and density Alt...the Kestrel is a HUGE aid in getting first rounds on target...I am a member of Cowtown and if you would like I could meet you there and i could demo the kestrel with you....
I like to point all my bullets with gunwerks pointer die then shoot lots of 5 or 10 with bullet lengths within a half of thousanth from ogive to butt face , then shoot bullets that weigh within .005 gram of each other for a tight Extreme spread of standard deviation. This matters for the patriot anti globalism support K team.
If you are confident on your MV, ie measured with Chrono, change the BC....I had to up my BC on the G7 as much as .020. The BC for bullets are based on average speeds...I bet if you changed your BC to around G7 of .310 to .320 you dope will align better...changing the Velocity to hit at 1000 is going to cause you to miss at mid ranges...

Thats good info thank you, I will make G7 adjustments next time and see what that does for my downrange dope.
