I bought a variant of the same machine or well at least the 889 machine that had adjustable height dial but all else is the same. They’re dirt cheap machines that can work but are sloppy and not very accurate but can work well if your careful. ESP just slapped their sticker on it and switched a few contents in the box. I only bought mine for about $100 bucks so I don’t feel so bad. But now spending hundreds for the same machine from ESP I’d be pretty pissed too.
I been trying to get Bitt key adapters for while now; Not sure where i can get one have issue finding anyone sell to me without setting up a credit thing.
I purchased a 368A in July and it looks just like your machine and yes it is a knockoff. Directions are terrible. Didn't come with the separate jaws for automotive keys. First key I tried to do with the limited knowledge I had being the directions are so bad was one of those GM Flip Keys or switchblade type of key. I destroyed the blank being I really didn't understand by the directions how to adjust the cutting blades properly. The next 2 that I cut came out perfect. Now I have 2 Ford/Mercury Transponder keys that will need a cut on both sides. Waiting for the blanks to arrive. I am hoping the jaws that are on the machine will do the trick otherwise I may need to see where I can buy the separate jaws that came with your machine being they didn't come with mine. You wouldn't have a part number would you? I know I am probably asking too much. Pretty sure they probably don't have a break down of part numbers for anything. Don't see any that came with mine. The Brand name on mine is DEFU.
I bought this thinking that it was a name brand machine. No, no part numbers and those POS jaws still don't really hold much of anything. Since filming this, that machine is still sitting in my studio. It's not for the lack of not mounting it but the fact I haven't had a job where I needed to use it yet. Nobody seems to want to pay for a "high security" key, they all want it free or for under $20...
What's the suggested rate for cutting one of these "laser" keys? $25? Do the cutting bits need frequent replacement necessitating charging more? Who was it that came up with the term laser cut anyway; were lasers ever involved with the process or was it just a cool name for them?

8:55 time stamp. Those "Buttons" you are wondering about are to assist installing tubular keys in the vise. It helps keep them flat and straight.
The buttons at the bottom of the clamps are for tubular keys they push up against the bow of the key in order to get the keys align straight

Dude you can get these off Ebay, you dont have to be licensed to get your hands on one of these.
