I use Microsoft Edge on MacOS and i am proud of it❤
I just threw up in mouth a little bit after reading this comment.

@@TitusTechTalk
Though i posted this for fun, there is something to it. Between early 2020 and 2 updates ago, it was hands down the best browser on the mac and it was quite different than the trash version in windows. Key differences: 1. Very good built-in ad-blocker (mysteriously gone 2 updates ago); 2. Sleeping tabs deployed early and generally very fast and memory efficient; 3. Really good 365 integration; 4. Easy to turn off MS stupid things (like rewards, etc). In addition, the collections feature is very handy for research. Overall better than the alternatives.
Of course, microsoft is slowly making it trash in typical fashion, but it’s hard to vividly explain just how stark the contrast with windows 11 version of Edge was, and still is to a degree. I ran both side-by-side in a VM and was floored by how much trash microsoft puts on its own platform.
I am willing to bet that the Linux version of Edge is quite good - now, here’s a video idea.
dont blame you i did too @@TitusTechTalk
Titus, I believe your kinda wrong here... The number of contributors & commits is for Firefox itself, not this browser. The fact that it was forked at some point meant it carried all contributor data & commits from when they contributed to Firefox.
That makes much more sense! Thanks for pointing that out.
Still a great browser though!
@@TitusTechTalk Can you please change the thumbnail and description then?
No, he said he would be more cautious and specifically very small open source projects; Thorium was made by ONE 23 year old guy, Floorp is far more trustworthy, and he is also making sure to be cautious and not use clickbait titles, he mentioned that multiple times in the video, @@Dorlo91-mg2hw
@@Dorlo91-mg2hw He certainly did not recommend this, he said he is trying out this browser, talking about doing research, this is from a stream, not a recorded video.
Hello Titus.
I am the author of this browser!
I am honored to be used by tech RUclipsrs like you.
BTW, the commits and contributors are fake, our commit count is high and will be 10,000.
Most are from Firefox and we forked from the Mercurial repository.
Sorry for the confusion.
2 issues with Floorp so far.
1. No casting/chromecast without extensions
2. nvidia video super resolution doesnt work or is not enabled for this browser.
Otherwise its pretty good.
Thanks for making this. Please add PWA support ootb.
just started using floorp a few days ago and love it! it looks great, functions great, and it's fast. The auto updater is nice, and vertical tabs are nice, little gltichy but they work.
please keep up the good work!
Added to Windows@@master138

i starred this a while ago and forgot to check back on it, looks great and i really value the customizability
Firefox gang o7
Mozilla Gangnam Style. 😎
Already been using it for a month. Minimalistic and slick design with handy tools. Great browser !!!
Happy to see you feel the same way about mobile devices as I do. I like my phone for things like taking pictures, exchanging messages and GPS, mostly. I only do other stuff like banking because I am forced to.
Something really cool about this browser are the built in UI customizations, it comes withe the firefox gnome UI, (g)old photon UI and even Chrome's and Edge's UI. So you can comfortably feel at home.
Old Net/Sys Admin here.... I've been looking for a Backup Browser. I just installed Floorp via Flatpak. So far, I'm impressed with the speed. It seems as fast as Chrome (definitely faster than Stock Firefox) even though it's a Flatpak. I'll test it for a while. I will compile it though. I don't want to rely on the Flatpak version.
UPDATE.... Man... I'm loving Floorp!!! I ditched the Flatpak version and used the PPA on LMDE 6. Installed fine. It looks like the developers took Chrome's design and put most of the features I like to access right on the panels. Easy to access setup features and all extensions I like to use in Chrome install fine from Firefox's Add-On's page. I like the design flow of the browser!!! The only thing I haven't like so far... Floorp defaults to automatic updates. I turned that off. I will let LMDE's Update Manager handle updates.
I'm using it right now and so far it has been pretty damn good actually. And It really seems like a serious project. I'm keeping it. 👍
I love the ideia of carryig around a mini-pc, but smartphones are more like their own thing. I wish that android was literally
a regular linux distro but with all the support that it has today
I use my phone the same way, and I'm 14! I basically just text my friends and listen to music, then do everything on my laptop or pc (both running NixOS)
I'm with you on the cell phone. I used it for some texting, phone calls, and once in a while GPS. Not much else with any regularity
been daily driving it for almost a year, it's always my goto web browser when I need a Firefox flavor
What theme is that, your floorp looks like Chrome but all of the repos I found were outdated and had visual bugs, but yours looks great!
Floorp gives you a few theme options when you install (can change any time). Some look similar to Chrome.
glad to see more people noticing FLOORP
Been using Firefox-nightly on my OnePlus 9 pro for a good while now & for the most part it's been able to sync between regular Firefox, Firefox-developer-edition & waterfox without any issues. All these browser were running on Arch btw....
Firefox + Chromium as backup, but so far I hadn't have to use the backup browser for anything. The fox just works.
Firefox since 2006-2007, now 121. Elevates the person who uses it to the order of saints
welcome to the gecko eco system firefox user for 2-3 years and its great
Floorp is a good one. I used to use it. I still use Vivaldi on windows. But I am thinking of moving back to floorp due to how much I liked it.
I just got in today looks ok and thanks Chris oh I never heard you mention that mirosoft update that millions can not update like myself. I would love to here your take on the issue ?
I must have missed something, what happened with Brave Browser ?
Chronium manifest v3 ... firefox + userscript is enough to make everything right.
LibreWolf is my favorite firefox fork.
I just use firefox sync so normal firefox on phone and floorp on pc, that's as simple as that. Unless of course you just don't want to use firefox at all
sounds good!
With that name I wonder if the project's founder was a huge Spy Kids fan. 😂
why could u explain?
@@anayaagrawal7600I haven’t seen that movie series in a while but I think in the first or second Spy Kids movie, there are these strange monsters called floorp. Or something very similar to floorp.
Try tabliss inplace of momentum
i recomended this browser under your original video of thorium :)
Have you tried pissandshittium as a chromium fork?
Lol saw brodies video on it and it does look very interesting! haha.
At least they're open about their browser being bad. Lol
don't forget that the author of pissandshittium is working on a firefox fork named "poopenfartenfox"
the concept and naming scheme is funny af... 🤣🤣🤣
@@mranderson2048 High quality comedy for sure.
Can someone give me a comparison of floorp vs Librewolf when it comes to privacy? Librewolf has been around much longer and very mature and I’m doubting floorp ability to be more private. I’m not here for the toolbars.
Floop does not advtisises itself as an private browser (tho it is open source and the browser does not any personal data) it is made with more userability in mind,
I am not really an expert at this but i believe you should go for librewolf if you want a browser for privacy, if i would be in your place, i would probably harden firefox itself, and would also try hardening the floorp same way and would see how it goes
if this firefox based browser has clearURL's setup by default that is whats causing the playstation login page erroring out
What is the functionality that is added over regular firefox?
Some options for customization and also some options for better privacy. And the rendering of webpages seem to be a little bit faster than regular Firefox. I like it so far.
- The only Firefox browser with completed PWA support**
- Sidebar with shortcuts (Vivaldi-esque)
- Web Panels (again, Vivaldi-esque)
- Workspaces (opt-in, being reworked, inspired by Vivaldi's)
- Microsoft Edge's page rounding... optionally
- Some CSS mods being built-in to the browser*
- Vertical Tabs, optionally
- The status bar from OG Firefox
- The option to move tabs under the toolbar from OG Firefox
- Customisable New Tab Page background
- Actually removable Tabs Chevron toolbar item
- Toggleable Extensions button visibility
- Customisable keyboard shortcuts
- A LOT more minor additions, and a ton of user experience enhancements
* some are being removed soon in favour of just providing a place to get browser mods from the community
** currently Windows exclusive
@@ThatLinuxDude It's like they're trying to make a Firefox based version of Vivaldi, which is nice, because we need more non-Chromium options.
Mullvad is great, although I use Vivaldi.
I see no reason to leave Firefox.
True, I only use chromium browser on situational cases if some sites doesn't load properly on firefox (which is very rare on my daily use)
You can use both. That's what I'm doing.
browser is all good but doesnt load up pages like bank portal pages or sometimes store sites doesnt open it just leaves me with a blank page or says undefined error. any help?
How do i get this to open up in full window mode? Everytime i launch it it opens in a small window.
Does Firefox addons work with Floorp?
I really like Floorp but Netflix dont work at the time
My problem with Firefox are the extensions. There is some extensions i need but on the extensions dont exist. I have to install them, locally and then i dont receive updates... So, ye. Chrome or nothing these days :/ Thorium is pretty much dead it seems.
Hi Chris, Any reason for not using Windows 11 anymore? I noticed that you are using Windows 10.
He's using 11 still, just made the appearance similar to 10
WOW! How he did that?@@dahorakk
Here we go again
0:27 you changed your browser because an easteregg jpg got deleted? o_o
Honestly this browser is great, I switched from Firefox to it and the main developer is a tryhard person, he made something impossible possible like PWA
Then he removed it from Firefox.
@TitusTechTalk this seems like exactly the same thing that you said you wouldn't do again because of what happened with the thorium browser
Titus, Why not just firefox? or Librewolf?
A matter of choice ;-)
I was just looking this up on the AUR and apparently Midori browser is a fork of Floorp too. It caught me off guard because I remember when Midori was just trash and haven't thought about it in years.
Midori recently changed to bacome Firefox based, rather than Chromium like they were before.
Midori is Floorp based since October.
So It's a fork of a fork? 😆😂 No thanks!
Floorp is awesome
2 issues with Floorp so far.
1. No casting/chromecast without extensions
2. nvidia video super resolution doesnt work or is not enabled for this browser.
Otherwise its pretty good.
"RUclips does not work well on FF" ??? What? Like , if you are on on linux that does not install any prop software at all, chrome seems to bundle while ff depnds on the system being able to render video. But you just install ffmpeg, and windows and all sane distros work out of the box.
to reiterate. I am 80% sure chrome just bundles ffmpeg libs/codexes while ff assumes you have it installed, which works out of the box on most oses.
compare it to other forks of firefox like waterfox , librewolf and others you know of.
Actually, the number of contributors/commits you mentined are for Firefox itself!
Someone should fork Thorium, or course it would need some special care removing some stuff, but, that would be great
Floorp eats lot of resources it feels comparable to normal chrome(without any flags such as lazy comp),thats why id rather use thorium and theres services on there that i need to. The customization is amazing and you know having a literal tab bar on downside with the url is so good. But the freezes i get in high perfomance mode with floorp is truely unbearable. Also the video resolution suddenly stops even when i have 105+ mbps on both load/download speed.
Interesting
🤦There is another firefox fork called Waterfox and it has the same exact contributors floorp has but its 1 less. I think these contributors are inherited from the original firefox version, the real contributor count is probably 10 at maximum
This. I hope he realizes that forks carries its contributors as well.
Smartphone = RHEL box ?!!
Cool browser but it has the same performance as firefox.
How are we spelling the name of this browser
The irony of using Google Search
My phone is for communications - telephone, text, email, the occasional YT vid, or photo. I don't game. I don't bank. I'll probably be downgrading my 9-year old model to a newer, mid-tier model with a larger, higher-res screen and a stronger battery.
I wish you would discuss the Mullvad Browser, please.
Librewolf ?
LibreWolf is just a hardened version of regular Firefox. Floorp is a little bit more than that.
@@GoolagThemTube probably.. but I found it uses much less memory than standard firefox. It is my daily driver now and I am happy with it!
@@dmitrykaa46 Good. We need more non-Chromium users.

So you present yet another Thorium disaster? Did you examine it properly b4 recommending it this time?
What makes it another Thorium disaster?
@@TGAZed time will show
@@trananhkhoa-tg5in I tried that with Thorium and got a lot of warnings about malware. So I removed it instantly. I trusted Chiss to be a reliablke source of information, but he proved me wrong. I'm not jumping that train again. I stick with Firefox and Tor
To be honest, the situation with Thorium hasn't affected the browser itself. Yes, it undermined the developer's reputation and may have caused some negative publicity, but the project is still a great one.
Yes, my team and I examined it for hours pouring over every line of code and it is completely clean of any furry easier eggs.
Is it a perfect browser? Install it and find out for your self.
I'm not a boomer, but I still don't live on my cellphone. Nor do I have my entire life on it. And Firefox has acted weird with RUclips on Linux; emojis don't always work.

Nothing will ever compare to macOS (M* chip) and/or Safari, period. Especially if you do some creative work like photography, design, and also content creation. Also, you have the best integration with everything. But hey, I haven’t used something else for the last 7+ years. And before that I had a shitty Windows computer and spend most of my time fiddling around in mIRC. 😂 I just can’t see the point/hype with Linux.
