I agree Chris. I have followed Rob Braxman for years now and he always leaves me thinking, okay, I think I will sell my computer and smartphone and just have a landline phone, but that is as far from modern life as you can come. I guess that's why some call him "the privacy evangelist guy". Happy Hollidays and go be with your family.

That's not what you should conclude from Braxman's videos: he himself owns a smartphone and use a computer, so it wouldn't make a lot of sense for him to make videos about why you should not use such technologies.
Rather, what he's doing is that he presents the issue and then, always shows a way to deal with it, whether it's using a degoogled phone for his video on smartphones, using a private and actually owned by the user OS like Linux when he talked about what Apple or Microsoft can do with your data when you use their OS, or use extensions like uBlock and other tracker blockers, including browsers with integrated trackers and fingerprinting blockers.
And it's not hard to do it, it's just that it won't do it by itself, you have to know about those privacy issues and choose the good alternatives because unfortunately, they're not preinstalled on most devices by default (most of the time).

The best way to do this is unused accounts, phone numbers, and even secondary addresses. Then you can have real data. It simply doesn't reach you on your main accounts, phones and addresses because those are always private.
Changing frequently also helps, but it's not a good solution for most people.

I too have a few different addresses, phone numbers, birth dates, emails, as well as bogus social media accounts and personas. Striped down my cell phone too. Some folks might think this is a bit much, but it works rather well. Can I still be found online? Yes, but not as easily. I just applied the lessons learned from an occupation to firewall my life as I saw fit.
