A little update for Supergiant fans. We are currently working on episode #05 of Hades: Developing Hell. With the studio working remotely due to the pandemic we are conducting our interviews via webcam and complimenting that with footage filmed by the interviewees themselves. We won't have a set release date for this episode for a little while as the situation with Covid 19 is pretty fluid and we want to make sure we release with it appropriate context. But rest assured you'll be hearing more from the studio on Noclip in the future.
are you going to make supergiant docs for the rest of eternity
Extravagant Sobriquet i would be ok with that everyone in that studio have such a great personality!
@@FaliusAren Well the pandemic isn't stopping us so...yeah, maybe?!
hyped about ep.5. have you considered doing risk of rain 2 documentary ?
@@NoclipDocs I'm totally okay with that. These people are inspiration in human form.
Jen Zee is such a fantastic artist.
What I find funny is that Jen Zee appears to be a millennial ;D cheesy I know but I couldn't help myself.
Gen Z
she totally is!
@@jakejutras5420 I don't get it, why does it matter how old is she?
@@adribier It's a pun. Jen Zee sounds like Gen Z.
"If we didn't make this game, then nobody else would."
This. If I had to pick one reason why I love Pyre, it has to be this. What is Pyre? It's something that is so unique, so different. It's a truly amazing game though, on so many levels.
I know a lot of folks didn't like it and it was very different for Supergiant, but Pyre is one of my favorite games ever and I would love to get to explore that world more. Thanks for this.
Yes, I believe there would most certainly be a lot of people happy to see a Pyre 2 game made down the line. It had such a rich and vibrant world!
MrEnvisioner I want a Transistor style multiplayer game. But yeah if they redo the narrative and choices just like in Pyre for another game I’ll be super thrilled . Hades proved alone that they can deliver strong voice acting which pyre just didn’t have
I really loved every single aspect of the game, with the exception of the actual gameplay.
Story, writing, music, visual design, characters, world... Everything was awesome, but I found myself just trudging through the rituals so I could see the next bit of story.
@@denzelromero4796 well, the amount of text in Hades is just significantly less as well, right?
John Gottschalk I think Hades has like over 1,000 recorded lines though with some being long exposition dialogue . It’s a definite start since other SuperGiant games only had like one core voice actor
Before I watch this I just want to say pyre is an underrated little gem of a game which has top class storytelling, music, characters and more. The game still sticks in my mind after all this time
It’s ironic I think Pyre was my least favorite supergiant game to play (still great), but it’s the one that’s stuck with me the most. What an experience.
@@EthanG45 totally agree. The gameplay wasn't nearly as good as transistor for example but the characters and world stuck with me from pyre much more than the others. I can't wait to finally try hades on console, I hope it's a good mesh of what made all their past games great
The most difficult part of playing Pyre is struggling to make your friends play it themselves so that you can discuss it with someone close. It is not a game for everyone. But damn it works good if you ARE getting into it.
Its the only sports game that ever got me to play it and it is awesome lol
@@garr_inc That's so true. I've been trying to make my friends play it for a while and it's so hard. I love this game to death I hope I'll succed in convincing them one day.
Pyre is one of my 5 favorite games ever. I feel like it's probably the least appreciated of Supergiant's games - Bastion was beloved and was their 1st attempt of how to make a game, almost everybody who's played Transistor I've seen loves it, and Hades is becoming a very beloved roguelite, but Pyre always seems to get pushed to the side. I adore the high fantasy aesthetic along with your lovable crew and the incredibly unique gameplay. Thank you for finally getting around to it Noclip!
Pyre was a really charming game that I just can't help but feel overstayed its welcome. The cyclical nature of the rites and the fact that you lost one of your (often favorite) characters every cycle meant that the latter parts of the game felt increasingly repetitive and barren. They really dragged, even though the studio took steps to triage this by truncating them. Perhaps a playthrough where I lost every rite would have felt more lively - but then the ending, I imagine, wouldn't have been very satisfying instead. Still, fantastic music and great art as always. It might be my least favorite Supergiant game, but that doesn't mean it was anywhere near a bad one.
Since you love Pyre, which proves your taste in video games: what are the other 4 of your top 5?
Yeah, I think a lot of people looked at the sports mechanics and/or visual novel aspects and decided that it wasn't for them. Which is a shame, because while I wasn't sold on the sports element alone, everything surrounding it really blew me away. The art design, the characters, the music, the way that the tournament culminates in choices that affected the story emotionally, as well as the game mechanically, etc. It's one of my favorite games as well now, and I never would have expected that from watching the trailer alone.
@@slamduncan4794 Sorry for not responding right away, didn't see this 'till now.
1) Persona 5
2) Dead Cells
3) Unravel
4) Slay the Spire
5) Gravity Rush
Completely different from Pyre - I really love rogue lites, and these are prolly really well known but they're my faves.
*Raises hand. I didn't really like Transistor all that much. It's by far their weakest and least polished game in my opinion.
What Greg said about it being better if a game isn't for everyone is really so true and more devs need to take that to heart. Pyre is my least favorite game of theirs just because I did not gel with the gameplay, I've always hated sports games, etc. But it's such a well thought out version of that type of game with interesting mechanics, and the story and characters are so good, that I was still driven to finish it anyway. And Greg was also spot on about it being his best work. Pyre may not be my favorite game of theirs, but it's definitely the one that best shows off his writing skills. If Greg wrote a novel I have no doubt it'd be very good and worth reading.
Just be true to yourself and make the best game you can, however niche and unusual it is. You'll be surprised how many people will play it anyway or even be fully converted. Hades is the only run-based game I've really liked. People know quality and craft when they see it, even if it's being put towards something that isn't their (nba) jam.
"The original name for Pyre was, of course, Goals."
That made me laugh out loud in the middle of the night.
Haha, same. His deadpan delivery was so good!
This is at 8:12 if other people are looking for it.
@@unvergebeneid Haha yeah, that man is awesome ! Their whole team is tbh.
That reactive song at the end legit had me crying. It was so gratifying to hear how my decisions had effected things and it was legitimately the most bittersweet ending that I've felt in media.
Me too, buddy, I sat there at 1:30am in front of my computer crying out of sadness and joy simultaneously. Realizing what an amazing time I had with the friends I made along the way, and realizing how empty my heart felt knowing that I still have to say goodbye to them at some point.
"Oregon Trail meets NBA Jam" is the perfect description of the game, ha.
Love the documentary and loved the game too - Had the usual goods you get with Supergiant - a Gorgeous art style and fun gameplay, and also mixed a couple of things I love - sport and fantasy stuff!
6:02 I have to say the moral decision of what character to send to freedom was so difficult. Times I just sat there not knowing what to do. I loved that design
Tfw i kept sandalwood so hed face O then couldn't get the ending where theyre friends again on the other side ;_;
@@vVAstrAVv Same, by the time I knew what was going on there was just no way I could send him over, even if I wanted to (And I didn't) :(
To me it was very easy! I just sent the characters I like the most, because I was implicated with the narrative: if I send him/her, I'll give them it's freedom
Man did I feel the struggle that Greg was talking about. To value someone as a player and a person, to eventually let them go, and to miss them after they've ascended. Also to choose the people you leave behind... Sucks, but it was worth it to see the best credits sequence I have ever seen.
23:33 - made me tear up, after following these guys for so long, the way Greg described their collective effort was spot on.
Especially in a world where insane amounts of money are poured into making whatever type of game is currently popular, this really drove home how important the work of little studios is, especially when they are such creative geniuses as Supergiant.
I could stare at Jen's concept art forever, I swear; I love seeing how different things were at the beginning, or which concepts stuck and which ones didn't. Pyre is so dear to me, and it's so satisfying to know that it also is for you guys, being a game that really pushed the boundaries of Supergiant from every perspective.
Pyre is one of my favorite games ever. It's one of the few games that made me seriously think whether I should really try to win without gameplay incentives but with its story.
Many games have these "moral" dilemmas, most of them aren't even real dilemmas, they just either reward you for being "good" anyway which makes the choice real easy or the gameplay rewards the "bad" choice but doesn't have any real consequences either way so you don't care.
But with Pyre... I had won all my rites before Pamitha's ascension rite. I didn't want to have any losses that run but Pamitha's dialog... my hands were not giving it 100%... eventually it just made me throw the match. I lost deliberately. Not because of gameplay reasons, Pamitha wasn't one of my go-to star players or anything. Just because I didn't want her to feel any worse than she already did.
I also like that the game, true to their intentions of making losses not devastating, doesn't really give a factual reason why ascension would be so much better than the exile in the first place. If anything, the land they were exiled from is very troublesome, which is why you're working to change the system with Sandalwood...
You're only home with your friends and loved ones. Bound together, strands in a braid 'til the end. What a wonderful experience.
The world building in this game is top notch and so are the characters! It genuinely is very high on my top ten games of all time! I would love to see more of this world in the future!
Listening to Greg's statement about depending on his team is so meaningful, it truly sounds like he understands the power of backing down and capitalizing the team he has around him. It truly shows an exceptional level of trust that must exist within Supergiant.
I absolutely adored the 'custom' credit music, I'd never seen that ever before and it was done so seemingly effortlessly
that's how you know it actually took much effort 😉
Logan Cunningham did such an amazing job as the Voice. I always love hearing from him, love his personality, and his last couple of lines to you, asking sort of why you weren't satisfied with the rites, were my absolute favorite. Great Job.
The conlang in this sounds amazing and the voice actors nail a fluent and natural delivery of it. It's one of my favorite parts of the worldbuilding.
I know, right? I really hope that some day they release some info about its words and grammar, even if it is really basic and not easy to understand, I still want more of it.
Pyre is my favourite of the SuperGiant games, and I've loved them all!
But the setting, the story, the characters... I love it all so much.
It's such a unique game!
I'm glad Noclip have finally put out a documentary on it, it's the one I've been awaiting the most since you started working with SuperGiant!
4 games. 4 masterpieces. Holy shit this studio can do no wrong
ikr! They are the Pixar of video game studios! .... omg, are they going to make their Cars? 😱
What fascinates me is that they've taken genres that I've had very little interest in personally, like sports tournaments and rogue-likes, and still manage to make them into some of my favorite games in recent years.
Truer words have never been spoken.
@@unvergebeneid cars wasn't too bad.. the dozen sequels on the other hand..
Don't jinx 'em
17:10 - " We want to make sure you leave our games feeling good." - modafoka I cried my eyes out after Bastion and Transistor and after Pyre I straight up wept for like half an hour while reading the ending stories. Supergiant games are a magnificent experience, but you do not really end their games with a good feeling.
I teared up as soon as Bound Together started playing
Pyre is an underrated masterpiece, and watching this made me want to replay it. And Transistor... Simply because I somehow can't remember what happens in that game at all aside from the beginning and the end. I remember playing through it in one sitting and being absolutely floored, but that's it; I just remember how it made me feel.
I got this game because of this doc. This is exactly the kind of game (and game making) I think is worth supporting. It feels genuinely fresh and heartfelt. It helps thats it plays so, so smoothly. I've nearly finished my first playthrough and I'm already planning my 'total fail state' second run. Excited to see how it works!
The end of Pyre made me weep, I loved playing this game so much.
Ohmygosh! all that gorgeous concept art! Supergiant really should come out with an art book.
Here's a game that SHOULD actually get a TV show. There was so much potential in the world of Pyre to tell more stories. I'd be all over an animated Pyre show.
This
While I would LOVE to see this game animated, I'm now sure if it's doable with the nature of the story and how it can change depending on the outcome of rites. There's no canon ending, to my knowledge.
@@dragonwriterartsI have to preface with "I haven't played Pyre", but the problem of a video game narrative not lending itself to other media can be solved by focusing on other characters.
Or they can just make one version "canon" and people who played the game and went a different route can look at it as a kind of alt-history of their game.
This remains my favorite series on RUclips. The creativity and collaboration of Supergiant is truly inspiring, and it's a privilege to hear then reflect on their achievements.
"we're gonna have a party-based game with a big cast.. more warmth to it" then proceeds to make a game where letting go of ur friends is the best thing for them
one of the best set of character designs ive ever seen. that kept me playing this game and invested me in the characters
I loved that speech from Greg Kasavin in the end when he talks about colaborating with others. It was sincere and heartwarming. And also true. I wish supergiant could see what he said in such a simple way.
To me now Pyre is a game about the studio loving the fact that they are able to work with one another
Thank you for this. I still have fond memories of this gem. My favorite was when... (spoiler)
... I purposely (lost) to the Fates, and Dalbert at the last moment, pushed his son to ascend. I teared up. Love this game. After Hades, I wouldn't mind if SG worked on Pyre 2.
Greg wrote an EXHAUSTIVE amount of Pyre, basically by himself. It's nuts.
I just finished Pyre after watching this video, and by the Scribes, what a game. Loved every minute of it, the music, the characters, the world. It made me want to know how the Nightwings are faring long after the credits rolled, and it's such a wonderful fealing to have. Thank you Supergiant for this amazing experience and thank you Noclip for your great documentaries.
Of all of SGG's works, I think Pyre is the one that deserves another visit the most. The world is SO interesting and full of incredible lore. I wouldn't mind at all to have an adventure/action/rpg game by playing with The Scribes. Their feats were so amazing, I can see the amazing boss battle that any of the Titans would provide! Or we could simply play around the time the Beyonders were sentenced. That's an amazing story in itselft.
Let's not even mention the whole aspect of the Commonwealth, that could be explored more. Maybe some ties with Bastion? That would be amazing.
I really appreciated the one observation they made where not every one of their games should he for everyone. Pyre wasn't my jam but it looks like to the purple it did resonate with it did so rather strongly which is the through line for all of their games. Great work!
THIS is the one I've been waiting for! Time to get some popcorn
I have never felt more immersed in a game than I did in my True Nightwing run. I lost the final liberation rite and I cried tears of joy for hours afterward when I saw what happened.
After playing Transistor in 2017, I bought every other Supergiant game I could. Since, I've bought every one as soon as it's announced. The amount of love and effort that goes into these games is astounding! Love you Supergiant, keep the awesome going
Over the span of a few short weeks Supergiant games has quickly become one of my favorite developers. Hades and Pyre are without a doubt 2 of the most enriching, unique and polished video games ive ever had the pleasure to experience both narratively and mechanically. Can't wait to see what they'll do next.
Omg! How a documentary made me burst into tears!? I love Super Giant and seeing them in this video of Pyre is so emotive. Super Giant games could not be for everyone, but all their games are for me.
Woooow, I haven't watched yet, but this is my favourite Supermassive game and I feel like it is sorely underrated. The way they did narrative choices was so great. So happy to see this pop up in my sub box!
The art in this game is phenomenal!!
this game and all the work form the guys from supergiant makes me shiver and almost cry every note i hear during this fine documentary. it still haunts me to this day and i am so glad this is part of my life.
I was ranting about the gaming industry to my wife today and just how I feel so much of the industry pushes for homogenized systems across games. She asked, "what unreleased game are you looking forward to?" My answer: Hades 2, and no other. I love the creativity, the passion, and the risks taken by this studio.
Pyre is hands-down my favorite game of the past few years, maybe of all time.
While I wasn't as much of a fan of the core gameplay of Pyre I absolutely loved the story and world building. I know Supergiant hasn't revisited any worlds they've created so far but this one is by far one of the ones I hope they revisit. Great documentary!
Pyre is fantastic. It’s definitely one of the best and most unique games of the last decade. The idea, characters and how everything is implemented is just chef kiss. While I do adore Hades, I think Pyre has something so unique and special that even Hades doesn’t have.
I started Pyre fully expecting to be disappointed by it. Surely Supergiant couldn't get a hat trick, that would be crazy. The weird premise and sports-like gameplay will doom it. I WAS SO WRONG. Pyre struck a deeply resonant chord with its pervasive melancholy, ethereal music, and shockingly strategic gameplay. Transistor is still my favorite on the strength of its music, but Pyre's caliber makes me confident that Supergiant can basically do no wrong and I'll play anything they make.
It's quite rare for some games to leave you emotionally wrecked, and at the same time you're awe-stricken for just simply investing the time to play it. The graphics, gameplays, and the designs are always a perfecto rating; but what really dragged me really deep in to their games is their narrative, always. I especially love the story of Pyre, how the story is perfectly plotted and how its characters are constructed and play so well within the narrative. This is why I love Supergiant Games, they never fail to give us a good shit game, and they never fail to make us cry (or give that heart-wrenching feeling at least).
Edit: I forgot to mention how epic and superb the soundtracks are, in all of their games.
This is the best. I wish more studios valued slow, sustainable, thoughtful and collaborative work. It’s a light to an industry often driven by far less noble bottom lines.
I’m at the final rite, and I’ve just beaten Oralech. Hedwyn says I should be the one to go. I had prepared for this. I had watched a playthrough of the entire game two years prior, after all. I knew this choice was coming. I was going to graciously accept, and return to the Commonwealth, free of the Downside...but I couldn’t. I couldn’t bring myself to do it. After all that had happened, and the time I had spent with this work of art called a game, I couldn’t bring myself to deny Hedwyn his freedom. That was the moment that solidified Pyre as my favorite game of all time. When I truly felt like I was in the position of the Reader. No other game has managed to do that. I don’t feel like I’m Link. Or Geralt of Rivia. Or the Dragonborn. Or Batman. Yet Pyre managed to do that. I cried my eyes out as Bound Together played.
i still stand by that Pyre is their best game to date.
They keep outdoing themselves and they did it again
Wow. I'm just finished rewatching Hades and Transistor documentary videos and now BAM - Pyre! Oh what a lovely day
7:24 "The next Trial is at Schytcreek" 🤣 the funniest part is that's not too far off many of the final location names in the game. Excellent work as always from both SG and Noclip. Just finished playing this and with that I've played through all the Supergiant games and watched all the docs. Cheers to everyone involved.
...well, I've definitely got to get this and try it now - only avoided it because of the 'sport', but looks pretty awesome. Thanks for the great doc as always!
Yeah, you definitely should. The game is easily one of my favorites.
Do it! It’s my favorite Super Giant game. I’ve never played a sports game in my life, and I loved the gameplay.
@@quibily So I bought it, and completely agree - i've never played a sports game either, and it's ridiculously satisfying
Dean Excellent! Enjoy yourself. :)
I did the same, and it was _such_ a mistake. The gameplay is absolutely fun enough to support it's other qualities, and it's not quite like any sports game out there (though obviously it's very basketball-esque, I think)
That first ritual where yo have to choose one of your own to say goodbye will always stay with me as one gaming's best moments. This is one of my favorite games ever. Top 3 for sure.
It's been so rewarding to follow a studio this much and getting to know the people there
The song choice at the end there with Greg's monologue was excellent, and then the transition to hear everyone else's
answers was really special. I love the philosophies of their company. Seeing the success over the years and where they are now knowing the humble beginnings with the
"Building the Bastion" series on Giant Bomb is incredible. Love Supergiant, thanks Danny.
These guys never cease to amaze me. They're such a great team!
A studio who’s every game shines with passion, artistry and creativity. Every game is a master class in game design.
I have not had a chance to watch this yet, but I’ve been dying for this to be uploaded. Glad it’s here!
Underrated game. It makes me sad seeing that it didn't get nearly as much popularity as their other games.
Oh thank you for this. I've been waiting for this ever since i played pyre.
This is one of my favorite games of all time -both as a game designer and a player!
I just started playing Pyre last week... Every game from Supergiant is better than the last and Bastion set a damn high standard. Yet these crazy people manage to beat it every single time. The art, writing, story, characters, music, voice acting... everything in this game would be the standout feature of any other game... yet they are all present here in this one masterpiece of a game. Just unbelievable.
Pyre is easily my favorite supergiant game and I think the game with the strongest and most unique vision executed excellently. There are many critiques I can make for this game more so than the other supergiant games but just for that aspect alone it will always still be my favorite game there is absolutely no game fully like this.
I absolutely loved Bastion and Transistor, so when I heard about Pyre it was a no-brainer that I got it too. Right before release I read that it was like a sports game and I questioned whether I would like it or not. I decided to try it anyway and was I ever happy that I did. I got sucked into the world so much. I had the exact feeling they were describing. I got to the final right and had mixed feelings about my star player leaving. What a wonderful experience.
Pyre is by far my favorite game of Supergiant's. I absolutely love everything about it. Ti'zo, Rukey, and Sir GIlman are my homies for life.
Supergiant's most undervalued game and easily my favorite from them (have not tried Hades yet).
Youve played it by now right?
I love em all, but Hades is a tour de force
Pyre was so fucking good. I know it wasn't as well received as the prior Supergiant games, but I hope it did well for them.
THEIR JOURNEY BEGAN
ON A BARREN WASTE
WHERE THE READER ARRIVED...
Stop q__q
This is my favorite Supergiant game! The characters, the tough choices, the fast-paced gameplay, the dynamic and diverse soundtrack are all just delightful. Transistor is a very, very close second!
*watches documentary*
Well damn now I have to go reinstall and replay this fantastic game called "Goals." THANKS DANNY.
Jen Zee said she'd spend another 2 years fleshing out their world of Pyre. That would be amazing the lasting impact of that game for me was the world itself and wanting to more about it and explore the environment and meet the characters and learn the Lore. The style was so unique and intriguing. I'd love a proper rpg in this world.
This game is very near and dear to my heart. I was really surprised how little reviews it had on steam compared to SG’s other games. It’s such a beautiful game with incredible art, music, and an interesting narrative. I think everyone should play Pyre.
Pyre is the 1st supergiant game I played and it instantly became one of my all time favourite games.
I look forward to now playing all their previous and future games.
Pyre is a true masterpiece that takes full advantage of gaming as a medium.
I can only hope it inspires many current and future game designers.
Holy shit, "Oregon Trail plus NBA Jam" is how I've been selling this game to my friends for years, nailed it
Pyre fits right into the type of fantasy that I adore - the creativity, the variety, such new foreign concepts that don't stick to traditional fantasy tropes. It's beautiful, engaging and rich with lore. I appreciate so much the sheer variety in the races in appearance alone, not to mention the animations, bits and pieces of culture. I just finished playing it for the first time yesterday and I am definitely about to start my 2nd playthrough. I would love to see more of this world.
Just now noticed that the Nightwings are referred to as "Nox-alas"--literally Nightwings. Cool thing Supergiant did, with that.
Pyre, is in my opinion, the best work supergiant has put out. I think I could write a thousand words or so about how that game does so much other games dont, and in doing so, lead to real connections with players.
I played to other supermassive's games, but Pyre was defenilty my favorite. Learn to understand this strange world and know the characters. The satisfaction and bitternes to free one of your crex member, and the music. It was realy good.
Supergiant gameplay, Supergiant characters, Supergiant writing, Supergiant world-building, Supergiant soundtrack, Supergiant voice acting, Supergiant art style. Love everything in this game.
Thank you so much Danny and Noclip team for covering Supergiant like that !!! Their games have always been strong favourites of mine, and being able to learn more about the wonderful individuals and dynamics behind each of them is the best thing I could ask for honestly. Thank you Supergiant for doing what you do !!!
I'd love to have art book with all those unused concept arts. Especially for characters.
I got to know Supergiant Games trough Hades, I was lucky to buy it on Steam when it released there and got a key for Pyre, never regreted activating it and playing the game, by far one of my favourite games... I just wish it had more content/story, maybe a DLC or a continuation. Well, while I hope for such, I keep playing and enjoying the great games Supergiant Games make, thanks for the hard work!
man, this is such a great documentary. You can really see how much love Supergiant have for each other, their games and their fans
What Greg is talking about around 7:00-8:00 really resonates. Sometimes the main design goal of a game doesn't bear fruit until the game is practically complete. It can be very demotivating to work on something for a long time with no hint of whether the core concept - the very reason you're trying to make it - is going to work well, or even at all.
Much respect to the Supergiant team.
Pyre was my favorite supergiant game of all time! Everything was perfect. If only they'd added a multiplayer option it would've changed the world
I have only played Hades and I still continue playing it (more than 80 hours and counting), without a doubt I will play each of the games that Supergiant have been able to create, the truth is that they are really a totally fresh air to the industry, it is Incredible how the small groups of people in this industry are really saving it, not because of an "economy" issue, but because of an art, gaming and entertainment issue in all its glory. When there is more freedom, when it is really done with passion is when the good things come out, because they are really pure. At the same time, one cannot make a game for oneself either, I don't know if you understand me, but taking into account the latter only as a minimum requirement and not as a central understanding, art is art, and what this group does is to remove itself the hat, I hope they continue to grow and continue with that heart and mentality. psd: Jen i love u
Pyre is my favorite of Supergiant games. It is RPG NBA Jam with a great story and choices with meaningful consequences that affect the story.
I can't tell you the feeling of seeing a new noclip documentary, thank you.
Started this video thinking I wasn't really interested in the game. 2/3 of the way through I ended up buying it. Such great ideas coming out of these passionate game developers. Gotta love Noclip for sharing these people with us and adding perspective on this medium so many of us love!
It's great that you're getting every story you can out of Supergiant, but I'd love to see more about how *other* devs approach development. Indie studios can be really interesting, but what about how a massive Ubisoft title is made, coordinating efforts from studios across the globe? Even talking with one of those studios would be something new.
I really adore this game. It’s a game I think about a lot. I can’t imagine this game gets called many people’s favorite supergiant game especially after Hades has its full release but it’s probably my favorite.
I ADORE the music made for Pyre so much. When that first song started I immediately felt so much warmth and happiness.
Gosh, why am I watching this and feeling like crying? There's something beautiful about it all.
My personal favorite game. Love it dearly 💛
