I think we have to convince ourselves we’re worth the effort. I decided to wear a cute summer dress yesterday. I went to the recycling depot and then popped into Costco. No event just a normal day, but I felt good. I think I was smiling more and people were smiling back. I guess if we feel good about ourselves it’s reflected in our attitude. 😊
Until recently I "saved" my nice clothes. Not sure what special event I was waiting for.Now I use all my fancy things( clothes/china/grandmas silverware) every day. It's so much fun!
For me choosing clothes takes time so I always have three outfits ready to choose if I want a quick change. I also have a basic choice of jewelry ready. I like to get ready quickly so I know your tips are true! Thanks 💕
As a fair silver-haired 59yo I've discovered I need to put on eyebrows. Mine have pretty much disappeared (sparse and silver). It took a little bit to get used to them. I use men's beard dye to darken them every 2 months or so, pluck the strays, and use taupe pencil to fill where needed. Plus lip colour. A bit of concealer under the brows helps to sharpen/define the bottom border of the brows and brighten my eyres.
Inner peace and setting up your go to items will create an interesting and energetic appearance, any day! You never know what you’re influencing around you! I once saw a random person with a very simple champagne colored outfit, it appeared silky and flowing and her hair was very free, it just floored me! I was influenced to study what would work for me!
This is a quick “ thank you” for mentioning in one of your videos to always carry tweezers with you. I am out shopping and just did a mirror check. Needed some major tweezing!! Now I can continue my shopping trip in peace.😂
I learned these lessons when I turned 28. In my early 20s I wore ankle length dresses that I made myself. I slept in them then got up and wore them to class. (This was a million years ago ) People in general acted like they were either appalled or frightened by me. I had no tattoos or piercings. When I turned 30 I revamped my style slightly and wore contemporary styles. Like it or leave it - this small change elevated my life in amazing degrees.
Thank you for your videos! You mentioned 'soft pants.' I'd like a video about them. I'm a petite (and I'm over 65). I have yet to find a soft pair of pants which are flattering.
I have a hard time creating an outfit when I'm pressed for time. I have "pre-assembled" outfits at the front of my closet. I've made one for each occasion, MIL dropping by in ten minutes/work/grocery store etc.. The stress it has saved me is tremendous. ❤Love your channel, thank you for your work.
Just shared this vid to one of my groups on FB because one member was saying she was wearing t-shirts and yoga pants every day and that's all she wanted to wear. So I posted about how easy some of the changes are and how little time they take, says the girl who's wearing a pair of black American Giant pants (as comfortable as but more together than yoga pants) a wool&co Willow swing dress, a pair of burgundy AllBirds, and a long blue and brown scarf. TaaDaa! (Also some Boom! Color on my cheeks!)
Thank you, this needed to be said, and more people need to get on board. No one should be offended if people treat them differently when they walk out of the house wearing their pajamas. My parents grew up in Europe when there was no work, they didn't have much, but what they had was good. Their may have had three outfits but they were nice. They even had embroidered sheets and pillowcases! If someone is truly poor and has NOTHING, then I understand. But that's a little hard to do these days given all the government handouts, and you can make up a nice outfit from Goodwill for less than $10.00. No excuses.
Per yoga pants: I am an exercise instructor. And after I teach is when I often go out to run errands. My problem is, I'm already wearing workout clothes, and it takes a lot more effort to pack a change of clothes and change before going to said errands. I might also add that my exercise clothes are pretty cute. 😅 But now I'm just making excuses... All that to say, I am fine with wearing my yoga pants out sometimes, but do make an effort at other times.
You could pull on a casual knit mini skirt over the yoga pants (I have a couple of striped ones) or wrap a scarf like a pareo. Either would fit in a large handbag. No jiggle butt or cameltoe on display.
I think you might be looking for "make stylish choices". Following comment related to a different video. You are a scarf tide under a hat. I did that today. My hubby kept commenting on it. He is very glad that I started watching you. No one else commented are my ball joint choice as you said in a different video. But he did about 4x during the day😊
It's a little harder to make the effort if you're just going to the grocery store, but it's so worth it to feel good about your appearance. And who knows, you may run into a friend or coworker at the store and wish you were more presentable.
You are such a beautiful woman and dont seam to believe it or know it, stop listening to other people and most of All the inner judge who always finds something 😊😊 thats not good enough You are uniquely beautiful.
I'm facing the fact that I wear t-shirts ALL the time. Why? I have them . Theyr'e comfortable. And they're there and require NO upkeep. But why couldn't I wear a cuter top say 2X a week. Yes. I might have to iron two new otems every week, but so what? Also, I could just put on lipstick...what the heck? so I'm getting up from this vid and putting on lipstick...and maybe some earrings. BBL
jewelry & young children don't usually work... hanging earrings & necklaces get tugged on & bracelettes and rings often interfere with holding little hands. skirts make it hard to sit on the floor & unfastened shoes are challenging to run in sorry. strong pass on this one for me, at least for this time period--i choose being kid-friendly

Anji and ash, chewable charm, and I think bloom all make teething necklaces that are safe for even babies and toddlers. I wear skorts or thin gym shorts under my dresses. I also have slip on leather sneakers but they have elastic (kind of Like vans). I can run in those shoes and they have arch support. -I hope that gives you ideas of you want alternatives (from a sometimes stylish but sometimes not mom of three)😊

Thanks for showing that with just a small amount of effort, we can really turn things around for the better. Love it!

Right! You might be dressing for you but it might inspire others!

😅
Thank you the definition of style. I’ve always wondered. Tried the low bun and scarf out today! 😀

Exactly ...you'te going to get dressed anyway.... you might as well look nice!!❤

Yes that's a great idea! I will definitely talk about soft pants. Thanks!
LLBean Perfect Fit Pants.
Wide leg drawstring linen pants
I do feel better when I like what I have on

Love that idea. Meal planning takes a lot stress off me.
Great suggestions!! ❤
I’ve always said “It takes just as much time to put something beautiful on as something ugly.” Plus, I don’t find spandex gym clothes comfortable.

Great advice.
Thank you! I'll be posting new videos every Friday so if you haven't already, please subscribe if you want to be notified! ☺
I too have a hair gambling habit. I needed that laugh.
Wow, I was admiring your hair, because mine is stick-straight and does NOTHING, and I love that yours has waves and texture.
Thank you! I haven't had my hair that long in a long time and I've almost forgotten about this texture!
Mine is straight with some irregular wave. Will not hold curl!
Please learn to love yourself just the way you are! Someone has admired your straight hair and wish theirs was like yours. ❤
We have such trouble loving ourselves.
Well said
You're so right!

You might be an outlier! I'd probably do the same or throw a loose dress over.

Beautiful eyebrows!!
I love your Eyebrows!! and I'm going to get mine done today. thank you!! Great video!
I think you love my "eyebrows" because they halfway aren't real. I have crafted them onto my face with pencils. Ha! Eyebrows are EVERYTHING!
I never leave home without my eyebrows and preferably my lips too!
Yes, who knew those wispy eyebrows that we created would leave us with no brows in our Seventies.?!
I think you might be looking for "make stylish choices".

Did you ever do the video on soft pants - if so I haven't found it yet...
Ohhhhh that's an idea!
Soft pants video? Yes please!
I’m loving your channel and get good ideas here each time.
But-I’m sad that I’m not finding places to thrift.
Try thrifting when you travel. Each city is so different!
I wish I was a scarf person lol
Me too
Aggg your eyebrows look so amazing!!
Agggg thank youuuuuuu!

Nice transformation with little effort! You must always think about how you are presentng yourself to the world. People will treat you better.

Took 2 minutes: moisturizer, lipstick, and a bit of blush,
Yes! And did you see my video on how to dress up a tank and jeans outfit??
