I did something similar back in the 90s. But I used a van. Want to get back into it. After all my kids are grown up. Going to get me a 2500 and trailer . N start off as a non cdl. Get experience. Then get my cdl.

No you don’t need a 5500, you can use a 1 ton truck like a 3500.

A thousand bucks running an oversized load from Houston to San Antonio is pretty damn good. I run from San Antonio to Midland Texas for $1,000 but I'm only hauling 1,900 pounds

@Macc Media TV unfortunately I did head back to San Antonio. But I go through all the small towns like Garden City, Sterling City and Eden Texas and then I come down to Junction City where I hit I-10 and head east towards San Antonio. Sorry for the late reply

As a fan of air ride and stuff that lasts you really should dump the air on your bags when getting loaded and unloaded, but more so on unload, bags typically only blow out when they get to tall, such as taking weight off to quick and the valve not letting the air out fast enough
