    I know that you got your show started and you wanted to talk about different topics talk about some of the challenges that owner operators go through when starting a new llc at the moment I'm dealing with underwriters nobody said anything about underwriters and how everything got to be in order so if you start off with you know getting your MC your dot your EIN you know everything has to be in place because they start digging into it and it just hinders you and hold you up so right now my insurance is getting held up because of that I'll send you a pic of what my setup is I'm still ordering some stuff but I'm following you bro and thank you for getting out there and then bringing this content man you keep in the solid

    Thank you and your wife for the great, informative videos. I’ve started saving to hopefully get a hotshot truck and trailer by this coming spring. I’ve already got a leg up by getting my class A cdl this past year, just the cost of inflation done some damage to my savings this past year, so I’m struggling to keep up with it, let alone save. But I’ll get there, hopefully sooner than later. Look forward to more great content from y’all. Be safe.

    Hi Tim, please, have you ever considered a truck without a drive front axle? In other words, a 2WD truck rather than 4WD? I would think you could do what you do just as well w/only 2WD, but I'll admit, I'm clueless about the road conditions you regularly encounter, and what it takes to keep moving safely when you're loaded, or unloaded. Also, whether you're moving heavier loads under your CDL, or before you acquired the CDL, you have/had to closely/accurately keep track of the weight of your loads. Please, how accurate are the customers when they report the weight of what you'll be transporting? Also, how do they know? The reason I'm asking is it appears much of what you carry seems like it would be difficult to know exactly how much it weighs? Thanks, (also) Tim from east/central Arizona.

    The 4:44 gear is better for what you do than the 4:88. For local or mountains or if you are going to be at max weight all the time the 4:88 is better. With the ratio you have you won’t notice the power difference. I like whit for my work trucks. It’s a cleaner look in my eyes. I know not having all the options on that truck is inconvenient at times. But for the price break and all the bells and whistles are just more things to break. Idk what I’m gonna go with. I’m just waiting to see what the economy is glib to do.

  • @alfredocantero7577
    @alfredocantero7577 Год назад

    Sup bd dawg, just a lil hint on the wear of the inside front tires. You need airbags on the rear to keep your truck from squatting as much under load. Just visualize for a min. What happens to the front-end when the rear-end squats? Your front tires camber goes in causing the inside thread to wear. That's the ticket brotha I think it's air ride 500 kit look into it you can install yourself, save your money on alignments.

    • @alfredocantero7577
      @alfredocantero7577 Год назад

    I went to see a family member 2 hours away from home... On the way back while driving home I spotted a used complete hotshot setup including metal wheel/ fender wells rather than plastic ones... this one has a FIFTH WHEEL and ball...
    I turned around and pulled up in front of the building it was outside of...
    A $4,000 setup new is for sale for $ 600.00
    I'm picking it up tomorrow...!!!
    Everything happens for a reason and God is blessing me with this great deal...
    I'll be happy if it lasts at least a few years and then I'll buy a new one...
    Now I'm looking for a used sleeper to put behind the cab and chassis for now...
    Later I will have a Walk thru sleeper installed...
    Most of my friends though that a E-450 van cab and chassis is a bad idea...!!!
    I'm going to prove all of them wrong...!!!!
    Great video my friend... stay safe and God bless you...!!!!

      Yeah I don’t think that’s accurate. I’ve heard from many that run this type of truck with airbags that it does help.

    Yours isn't loud asf?? One morning I woke up and the transmission started being loud asf. Reving super high all the time. If I am on I20 and have to go wide open with it it'll be damn near 3k rpm's around 74-80+ mph. Revs high before it shifts. 2.3k-2.5k rpm's before it shifts sometimes. If I turn tow/haul on its permanently 2.3k+. took it to the dealer in Tyler and they said no engine lights, no codes, no problem and that its driving like normal and driving like all the other 5500's he's driven...

      Wow that definitely doesn’t sound normal. I would definitely take it somewhere else. Or even to the dealership you bought it from.

      @Macc Media TV I stay in Longview TX, and bought it in Iowa at the Stellar plant. Got a knuckle boom mounted on it. If you in the Shreveport area and need a hand let me know. I got a 5500, 4500 Stellar crane, can do some mechanical work and legitimately any tire from a lawn mower to mining equipment. Going thru some challenges with my business atm so I am trying to reach out to anyone and everyone

    Adding air bags is not gonna help on that setup. The suspension is too stiff and will not allow air bags to absorb impact. Would need to remove some leaf springs in order to allow suspension compression and then add air bags for smoother ride.

    • @HotshotMacc
      @HotshotMacc  Год назад

      Idk but I’ve heard otherwise from other drivers that have them and has not mentioned anything about removing leafs but I’ll definitely continue to do my research. Thanks for the input!

    Your LED bulbs should be facing up and down…
    If they’re not it could affect the performance of the bulb.

    The term fan your brakes in trucking is your putting air between your hot brakes thus taking a chance on causing them to catch fire 🔥 😜 this is not a proper braking maneuvers

    It's a 2020 with only 50k miles.. not running that much? I guess just enough to make the payments.
    I'm sure it's the economy.

    Why didn’t you talk about the mileage and negative reasoning for a truck like that that Toe Piglet spoke on? Thought you would prove him wrong or at least agree.. you spoke on the color of the car .. 😂

      I’m guessing you didn’t watch the entire video and this video has nothing to do with TP. I did an entire video on that in the past. If the only thing you got from the video was the color then so be it lol
