    If you play pickleball and are looking for a paddle check out the NEW KoBo paddles by clicking on this link davek.kobopick... which will take you to their website.
    I have had the opportunity to try these paddles and have had the privilege of meeting and playing with the owner of KOBO and his wife who actually designed these paddles from the ground up and worked with a manufacturing plant to produce them. They are all in and committed to hitting the ground running and I am pretty darn certain you will be seeing these paddles across the country very very soon.
    And in return if you click on the link above and happen to make a purchase, we will get a small reward which in turn will help our channel. Feel free to share that link with others.
    At this point I will also be doing demo days at Pickleball courts as we travel. Hey we like the product and love the story of a small family-owned company starting a new journey and we hope you do to.

    It would be nice to see General Motors come out with the straight axle option for the front end make the 3500 4550 500 a similar body style instead of like it is now where the 5500 is basically like a Ford F650 or 750 don’t get me wrong. I like the new models. I just hate climbing in the high trucks now I’m not 18 anymore.

    Why could put a self leveling air value on the fifth wheel so it could be hands free ? The builder should put that on .there is an air minimum for the bags. Adjust for your trailer one time and be done.

    We're a bit on the fence between F-450 pickup or F-550 RV hauler like these, but our insurance company won't insure any Class IV or V vehicles on our policy. They told us a commercial insurance would be perhaps double in cost per year ($2,500+). Curious what others have found and what insurance companies deal with these. Anybody do them on non-commercial basis? I know state of residence matters and we are in Michigan.

      @daveanddianethrowingcautio5707  21 день назад +1

      A lot of people have ran into that and I always recommend contacting Miller Insurance, they are based in Oregon but they do insurance all over the country so they could possibly help you. Miller is who we have gone through for many many years. For the record we are not associated to Miller in any way other than being a long time customer. The key is to have your RV and truck on the same policy but they can explain all of that to you. Please stop back in and let us know if this helps. Oh we also have friends with both the F450 and F550 and they love their trucks.

      When doing my research between the Ford F550 and the Ram 5500 they were very close but it seemed the Rams Exhaust brake outperformed the Fords and we do a good amount of mountain driving and that was important. Then it's just very hard to turn your head away from the performance of a Cummins. .

    for these types of beds if they were to be put on a 350/3500 or 450/4500 would that truck need to be a cab & chassis or a pickup bed truck. I hope someday to have a setup like this. All three trucks are very nice.

    The only thing I don't like about these medium duty rigs is the derated 6.7. Has that been an issue while pulling heavy 5ers? I don't understand why the manufacturers do that. Maybe you have the answer to that.

    • @daveanddianethrowingcautio5707
      @daveanddianethrowingcautio5707  Год назад +2

      I've been told that a lot of business buy this type of truck and it hampers the average employee from tearing things up so quickly but I'm not sure. To be honest with the gearing the truck drives great and I'm betting the average person jumping in and driving would not even thing about it.

  • @bradymatheson2587
    @bradymatheson2587 Год назад +2

    I'm curious why no one opted for the 84" hauler bed. I've talked to both manufactures and it sounds like the trailer above the pin box will contact the cab of the truck/headache bar when turning sharp. So the 60" hauler bed definitely won't allow a turn anywhere close to 90 degrees. It seems like the 60" hauler bed defeats the purpose of having the 4500 & 5500 truck with a sharper turning radius. Thoughts?

    • @daveanddianethrowingcautio5707
      @daveanddianethrowingcautio5707  Год назад +2

      I don't think not having the longer wheel base of the 84" defeats the purpose of having the wide track frontend at all. Even sitting directly lined up with the truck having the wide track front allows for quicker turning of the RV and better movement. And when using as a daily driver it comes in handy all the time. I've never HAD to put ourselves at 90 degree's jockeying into a site but I'm not so sure that we can't get to 90 degree's, Thats something I will need to test myself.

    • @Timcherniss
      @Timcherniss Год назад

      @@daveanddianethrowingcautio5707 Dave I believe that your truck will probably do 90 degrees. i have identical truck as black one in the video and the Tiara has more girth to it than yours.i would have opted for that if I had known it existed. The only thing stopping me from 90 is the lights but even that is to close for comfort. would like to see a test on yours as Im thinking of a custom slimmer back/canterleaver roof rack to house the spare tire.Great Video. love my Utility Bodywerks bed.

    The ford owner should check if he would be part of the class action lawsuit against ford for reducing the A and B pillar and using cheaper steel so the top folds down in a roll over accident. All the super duties for 1999 to 2020 I think but not positive on the years.

      That lawsuit applies to trucks made between 1999-2016. Dave and I both have towed all over the country across many mountain passes and on horrendous roads. We are both hauling a New Horizon fifth wheel which is quite heavy but each of our trucks has performed quite well in all different terrain including very steep mountain passes such as Wolf Creek. The beauty of these trucks is that they are decent daily drivers particularly with the wide track front end.

      @@daveanddianethrowingcautio5707 problem is we have a Limited F450, all the bells and whistles. Payload of only 4,697 to begin with so every pound counts. By adding the flat bet would severely lower useable weight. The best truck to use in this configurations would be the XLT or lower trim package. I like the comfort of bells and whistles so I must keep within my existing limits.
