ACCEPT's guitar powerhouse, WOLF HOFFMANN, releases his second solo album today throughNuclear Blast, entitled »Headbangers Symphony«, completely dedicated to the grand classic maestros. To mark the occasion, the brand-new music video for 'Night On Bald Mountain' has been revealed today.
Wolf commented on the video:
"Some ideas devised in a split second can work like a charm, and originally it was like - there's no way you can do that... but I thought WHY NOT?! We had so much fun and it was party time from the first second onwards! I hope that the fans get it: a very hot summer night with friends and music and going a bit over the top... I wish you all could have been there!"

Wolf Hoffmann has a passion. His life-long love and dedication to heavy metal music is documented in dozens of albums spanning four decades with his long time heavy metal bandACCEPT. But beyond heavy metal, Wolf has an incessant craving for the classics, yes, the ones written decades and centuries ago.
Classical music has always been an influence - albeit limited - on ACCEPT's Teutonic approach to rock and heavy metal. However, it wasn't until 1997 during a extended hiatus from ACCEPT, thatWolf Hoffmann finally had the chance to fully explore and fulfill this interest by recording his first astounding solo album »Classical«, a record filled with his rock guitar driven interpretations of some of classical music’s most loved compositions.
"I have always incorporated classical music in my songwriting with ACCEPT, especially with »Metal Heart«, but I constantly felt there was so much more that I could do and I did not want to overload ACCEPT or force it in any way. I always knew I could make a whole record of it and that’s how the first record »Classical« was born. Even today, fans tell me that they are still listening to it, that's why it is so fantastic now to do another one."

I've actually heard that Chopin's Funeral March was used as an early theme for Cactus Jack (pre-WWE of course). Check out the version by doom metal band Frowning.
Wolf has always been a symphonic guitar badass. Love it!
I've been enjoying Wolf's shredding and tone since I picked up Restless and Wild back at a place called Cutler records in New Haven, Ct- That had to be around Christmas 1982. Wow records... Anyway I remember as I first listened to it how raw, yet polished and fiery the music was : the guitar tone and leads blew me away. Nevermind Udo's hair-raising Howl. Of course the rest is history with the mighty Accept. I had heard Wolf had done some classical stuff but I had yet 2 hear it. Thank you AFM records for sending this to my mailbox. Usually I find metal guitarist s doing classical a little self-indulgent, but boy does he make it work here. Oh yeah!!!
Finally; after hearing the original version of "N. On B. Mount." in the "Fantasia" home video so many yrs . ago;a metal version! A true Halloween treat 4 us Accept fans! Awesome!Thanks; Wolf!

I would bow to the Russian composer Mussorgsky, who composed this magical piece 150 years ago. Listen to it in original performance by the orchestra! Many thanxxx to Wolf Hoffmann for this inspired thing! From Russian fans!
He did compose it and Rimsky Korsakov then created his own version of the piece that we all know today which is the most popular version. What they did here sounds more like a medley of it.
I am amazed by the frontman of this band, this man is a genius in creating music. I applaud his clever idea of making arrangements and collaborations to make a magnificent music to be heard and enjoyed. greetings headbanger from Indonesia

This is the best modern representation of Night on Bald Mountain I have heard but call me old fashioned I prefer it done by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Their version send chills down my spine as I am completely lost to the music.

Lets make a few things clear, I'm old and I know what I like, I like the 60's, 70's and some 90's (notice I skipped the 80's but who doesn't). I love some classical and don't appreciate modern attempts to remake it. Came across this video by chance. Here are my views, a bike gang playing Mussorgsky, really. Come on. My opinion, video-excellent, subject-excellent, performance- beyond excellence. This will become one of my come-back-to videos to watch when ever I need a boost. FANTASTIC JOB. I know what I like and I absolutely love this. BRAVO!!!
The 80s was good:

You are literally the only person I've seen who skips the 80's.

With all due respect if you skipped the 80's you pretty much hate music.
As noted by others, skipping the 80s is odd indeed. Of those three decades, I'd skip the 90s and 70s, in that order, before I'd consider cutting out the 80s. To each their own, I suppose.
The 80's is the decade with the most excess, excessively great music and excessively bad music, Accept and Wolf's playing were in the great column

Yes, Modest Mussorgsky wrote this, but I didn't know that until years later. The first time I heard this was 1977, as David Shire's, Night on Disco Mountain, from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. But Wolf is one of my favorite guitarists, and I like this.
