- UPDATE: this Crochet Boho vest was originally filmed for a 4 week Mystery Crochet Along. Our CAL has finished and so now I am including the photo of the finished vest in our thumbnail. The videos are still the same taking you thru the entire process.
The crochet Boho style vest mystery crochet along continues with video 2. Learn to crochet this beautiful boho style vest. Today we will work on the upper back and lower back areas. enjoy! You will need 2 Caron Cakes by Yarnspirations for the women size and for the Plus size you will need 3 Caron Cakes by Yarnspirations. These cakes are only available at Michael's Craft stores.

I am following along with the written and video instructions. At the end of video 1 we are on round 9 ch5, sc into next ch5 (which I think should be sc into next ch 7 from row 8) then it switches to video 2 which starts with working in 7 sc instead of the ch5 we were previously working with. I am now totally confused. Should we be omitting the Round 9 written in black and actually doing round 9 in red for two rows of ch 7?

I will start again tomorrow..I have missed something . I don't seem to have enough increase loops some how!
how many y loops in total do you have at stitch marker point. I only have 25 so when I place markers there are only 8 at the bottom. what have I done wrong? doesn't seem enough. tried to continue but back of neck and bottom nearly the same size.so opened thanks x
Hello Yolanda. I am trying to find a crochet stitch you taught about four years ago on a gray vest. I believe u crocheted 4 then put them together -left 1 on the hook & continued. Please let me know I can't find it thank you for everything my teacher
Joanna Manasseri Hi! I'm not Yolanda but what you're describing sounds like a 4 stitch cluster. where you stitch four into a loop but leave the last loop of each stitch on your hook. then yarn over and pull through all loops. Try to search up cluster stitches. Sorry if that wasn't well described but I hope it helps a little!

Wondering if the sections for the arms can be reduced. They kind of bulge out at the back when the piece is finished. I just completed one Boho Vest and I am starting another one now. Is it necessary to do 50 chains for the arm hole or can it be reduced?
you can go smaller if you like
Hi Yolanda ! Do you think this vest will fit a size 16?should I go plus size ?
It's pretty forgiving, it probably would. If using the Caron Cakes they stretch

I'm a bit confused. If you aren't making the plus size you end with the chain 5 round (plus size is the extra chain 7 round?) so the half doubles? Do 5 or 7 half doubles in the chain spaces?

I did video #1 last night. This morning I'm starting #2, but I seem to have WAY to much "ruffling". Is there a count I'm missing?

I am doing the plus size. And I printed the written instructions. I'm confused, should I do round 10 and then place the four stitch markers? Or place them after round 9 and then do round 10 which is printed as a repeat of round 9?
for the plus size you add them after round 10.

Hi there this is my second time re doing this pattern im reading and following tye video and written patter and im doing the pluss side you said to repeat step nine witch i did but when it counting to put stich markers they are not marking rigth please help i try reaching you on facebook mesenger.
