  • Our model can run 30+FPS for 2X 720p interpolation on a 2080Ti GPU. Currently our method supports 2X/4X interpolation for video, and multi-frame interpolation between a pair of images. Everyone is welcome to use this alpha version and make suggestions!

    How much VRAM is needed for interpolating a 1080p video?

    • @michaelwhite4810
      @michaelwhite4810 3 года назад +1

      It seems that no matter what resolution you put,it always takes about 4gb vram.I tested 360p and 1440p video.

      @@michaelwhite4810 what if you have intel i7 4790 graphics with 2gb vram? It seems to be stuck on "Done running RIFE - Interpolation took 903ms. Peak Output FPS 0.00 - Waiting for encoding to finish..." Does this mean I have to wait? If so, I have waited almost an hour.

      @@agsechogd6406 that means you can‘t use the program,at least not with the current code.

    a lot of effort just to obtain the dreaded "soap opera effect". well done!

      it does help for some specific situations though, particularly if you want to make a faux slow motion effect for video conversion, or if there's something that's animated at an eye jarringly low fps, like that dragon prince netflix show, it helps smooth out the too many blanks

      @@j377yb33n exactly, in those cases it's definetely useful. I just hate high fps in normal content. can't stand it 😀

      @@marcozbo like it can work in some films, but I feel like it's all depending on artistic expression.

    someone mentioned this and I agree. It feels extremely uncomfortable looking at the interpolated video.
