Lucy & Ethel were on a U.S. postage stamp! They put an image from the famous candy factory scene on a stamp. There were DOLLS of them in those outfits, sold as a set. Not sold separately. Vivian Vance deserves so much more credit for being a major factor in the success of I Love Lucy & of Lucille Ball.

Could you PLEASE tell me the source for the audio of Lucy & Vivian that you used at the end? I've been doing research looking for interviews & quotations about Vivian Vance, esp. regarding her relationship w/ Lucille, from people who worked with them or knew them. Vivian deserves so much more credit than she's ever gotten for the success of I Love Lucy & Lucille's other projects they did together.
I'm glad to see that Desi, despite his personal & moral failings, vices, & addictions, is also finally getting some of the credit he deserves for all his innovations in the television industry that are still in use today. Both he & Lucy were smart business people who made decisions that made television history.

WTH does that have to do w/ this video? Your quotation makes no sense. I Love Lucy is wholesome entertainment compared to TV today. There's no gore, no violence toward others, no sexual situations, no vulgarity, etc. There's smoking, because it was a product of its time & everyone smoked back then.
The same goes for that ep when Ricky spanked Lucy. Yeah, that was not good role modeling to infantilize a woman like that or show even comedic violence between spouses, but Lucy Ricardo is so over the top that she's practically a cartoon character. It's like when Wiley Coyote gets caught himself in the traps he lays for Roadrunner. How many times does he survive getting blown up by bombs or TNT? That violence is not realistic so it's not going to damage some child's psyche the way a horror movie or a crime drama might.
So IDK what you are going on about.
