Outstanding video. I just ordered my PRO665 grill based on this video :) was thinking about the PRO 500 but after watching this video, it was game over!!! 665 it is. Thanks!
Hello I’m looking to buy this grill, how is it holding up since you bought looks like it’s been a year? Do you have the built in one or the one with wheels ??
share.icloud.com/photos/057iVi_-KOJzhmeb7lo-fjCww
Here it is after less than 3 years. It gets pitted fast.
Elliot Feinberg oh man that looks pretty ugly yes that’s cheap material for sure, and I’m sure you keep it covered?, well I order it so I’ll take care of it as much as I can I’m in ny the weather here is not the best thank you for the info 👍🏻
frank rizzo hi Frank. I live in chicago which is all precipitation all the time (Rain in summer and snow in winter), and it’s held up well since Oct 2018 (almost 2 years ago now). I only cover it when we are not using it for extended periods of time. Which means unless we are traveling it only stays covered from Late Fall till early spring (using the Napoleon vinyl cover). I actually spoke to Napoleon customer service and they advised it’s designed to be left uncovered except for winter. My grill exterior has no peeling or chipping at all and looks like new on the outside and like a nicely seasoned grill on the inside. No complaints. I’ve done everything on it - from 14+ hour cooks (smoking session) to 5 minute quick burger sessions. The inside is dirty and greasy, as a well used grill should be, but no damage of any kind. I’ve also used the infrared burner regularly for steaks and on occasion (on low) for outdoor skillet cooking, and never given me any problems. We use the rotisserie pretty often too which work amazingly well with the high heat back burner strip. I’ve used the charcoal tray three times as wel land while it’s better fitted for a 500, it works perfectly well on the 665 as well. The charcoal didn’t clog the burner tubes or anything. Overall, I think yin’s grill is worth the $3K. I’m very happy with it. Good luck!
Elliot Feinberg thanks for sharing the video Elliot. I wonder what makes the chrome peel and warp like that. What area do you live in? What are the temperatures like? Thanks!
Great video, thanks! Love my Napoleon. 14 years old and grilling strong. Ordered $200 in replacement parts this spring to make it new again. Easy ordering process and fantastic customer service Napoleon and thus the reason for not buying anything else! Cheers all!
The parts weren't covered under the warranty?
I bought the napoleon prestige pro 500 plus and even though it was pricey, I am super happy with this purchase. Weber killer indeed!! And this is a fact as my Weber friends all confirm this.
I was so impressed with the reviews and discussion on this Napoleon 665 grill that I ordered one yesterday. I was considering Cal Flame, Lion, but the lights, features and searing of the 665 persuaded me
I want one too. I've been waiting for a sale
I think i am in love. Never wanted something so much in a long time.
That’s what I call: “perfectionism” , no doubts, the best way to improve your skills at the pit and make it better and funnier... congrats! 👍🏻
Thanks bro!
That thing is the Ayatollah of gas grills, amazing! Gotta do something that utilizes the massiveness of the grill, maybe a whole pig or a couple turduckens or how about a 20 Kg steamship round?
yeah... sounds awesome!
We just purchased our 1st Napoleon grill today we get it next week the store was sold out I can't wait to start cooking
You will love it Fiona! ENjoy!
Oh wow.. I want the grill, but I dont think I'd be throwing sauce and spices around on it day one.. gotta wait a few months for that.
Step one put chicken In a big bowl put bbq sauce on chicken in the bowl move chicken around to coat return it back to grill... Less mess
Hell yes, what a Beauty!!!! Congratulations to this beast! No idea what to cook on it. Seeing it Standing there is already a pleasure. Happy with my LE3.
The LE3 rocks 🤘🤩🤘 the majority of the comments ask for a grilled piglet. So we will start of with that.
That sounds like a good idea. 👍🏻 Have fun!
3 years after purchase, Numerous parts are failing on my Napoleon (exact same model) which indicates lack of quality:
The black inscriptions indicating which burner is controlled by which knob is rubbing off everywhere, electrical outlets in back no longer have spring closure (broke), the plastic rings on the burner controls are cracking, the temp gauge reads 200deg F even when its 40 deg outside.
I contacted Napoleon directly to ascertain warranty coverage...2018 models had Lifetime Bumper-to Bumper Warranty which covers some things indefinitely, some things for 15 yrs and many parts for 2 years. As a COURTESY they would supply me with new decals to place on the grill (cant wait to see how that looks), and the rest of the parts would be at a discounted price! I expressed my dismay that an allegedly premium product with a premium price point would want to charge their customer ~ $100....this amount is miniscule compared with the $3500 I paid for the grill and accessories... This $ 100 is not generating any real revenue for them but is generating a lot of bad will for the customer. Napoleon's representative Kat did not care.
I would definitely consider purchasing a grill from another manufacturer. At this price point, customer service and standing behind the product is imperative; sadly Napoleon has not figured that out.
That worries me. I ordered this grill a month ago. It still hasn't shipped.
Whole lamb rotisserie!
4:06 please make a video on how you clean that grill afterwards :-)
It jus might happen
The Insufferable Tool no it didn’t
@@PITMASTERX What happened was that you don't know how to grill, go sell some cars of something..
All those fond memories you have had. New memories will be created with your new grill. Cheers Roel.
Funny thing is..
I am on the look for a new has grill and the rogue with 3 burners and no sizzle is in my Budget....
I will now have to look your old videos again to notice how the grill behaves 😀
But since you have used it for all kinds of meats for a long time I reckon it's awesome
Lol, just noticed the video is 2 years old and is on my recommend list because I'm looking for a grill3
Wow its huge! Looking forward to seeing you use it!
Hi, I am a fan of your video's , I have a Prestige Pro 500 and I just love it, the 665 looks very nice :) !
Awesome Francois! .. I love the prestige pro
Got the prestige 500 a couple months ago. Love it so far. I’m sure you will put out some great videos on this grill. Rotisserie prime rib would be my choice for a video. #ENJOY.
Mooie aanwinst. En vakkundig gemonteerd door Emiel van Napoleon. Top service leveren ze! Hier erg tevreden met de Prestige Pro 500.👌🏻
Dank je Guido... de prestige pro series is echt bijzonder goed
Congrats on the new addition....let's celebrate with some proper prime rib with 2 side dishes.
Just ordered mine. Can’t wait.
Jemig Roel.... dat is een mean cooking machine!! Zou niet misstaan in mijn net nieuw gebouwde buitenkeuken 😉 Ook ik zeg: lekker speenvarkentje. Veel plezier met the beast!
That is one kind of a hellish mean maschine... holy moly...
It really is... a metal giant
That's just massive...
Sure is epic huh!
My dream grill! I will have it soon!
Yeaaah, now we talking. The big bastard rolling in to the pit. Awesome 🤘🤘🤘🤘
That's it... ! Big as can be!
Smoked brisket! I'm thinking of buying this grill, if i can smoke brisket on this without buying a dedicated smoker - SOLD. Thanks for these awesome videos!
@pitmasterx have you used the Weber summit gas grill ? Would love to hear a comparison between this and the Napoleon prestige pro
Love the videos man. Is it possible to go over what you use to clean your bbq inside and out? If you use any products to help.
Finest steaks money can buy!
It is the same Grill like the Prestige Pro 500. Just with out the Smokertube and the 500er is 20cm thiner and 1 Burner les. 😅
Yes... 🤛😁🤜
THIS GRILL IS JUST CRAZY
we all know that grilling is a passion, but we should not forget the cleaning part of the story, make one video „how to clean our gas/charcoal grill :))) best regards from Germany
Lamb leg please
Awesome!
Just got one of these myself - did you cook the chicken on the upper rack simultaneously with the burgers/sausages/bacon on the lower rack? How'd you handle the timing & temperature differences?
Man that was some thick bacon!!!
Cool huh 🤩🤩
Awesome bro!!!! 😍😍😍
Received my 665... It's even better than I expected.
I do soup by creating flavours on the grill
Looks awesome! Any chance of posting a video on the process you use for cleaning the BBQ?
What a monster! I need a new grill...off to the website!
Napoleon grills are very powerfull comparing to other brands even the small ones like LEX485
Wat een apparaat is dat!
Ik zie ze overal lopen, en springen, lekker een heel lammetje aan die rotiserie!
klinkt goed Rick!
A whole brisket with the flat and the point cooked low and slow with use of that new smoker tube!
Can a brisket be cooked and smoked properly on a gas grill?
I really hope so as I have the prestige pro 500 and I would love to try it if you can show us how! 😉👍
Good question... sounds like a challenge
And look at the grill without cast iron. Next.
Nice videos, a video on type of rubs would be nice and how to clean the gas grill
Hi pitmasterX!!
maybe you should begin using the rôtisserie, in your last video you were in Germany eating the best meat produced in Europe, so, it Will be great to order a big prime rib and put it in your new Napoléon rôtisserie with just salt and Pepper 😅😅😅😅😍😍😍😍.
For those whose from Lyon (France) we salute you Master
Bojour! hahhahahahahhahah that would be epic!
Wow, its really a beast, very nice grill! Greets for such a nice one 👌🏼👍🏻
It looks fantastic and i hope you have many happy cooks on it. For me i have to have that pure wood and coal capability of an offset. I fully admit i am a purist to for BBQ. That beast though seems the closest to making me think twice hehe :-)
hahahah.. excellent!
MADE IN CANADA BABY! BEST BBQ HANDS DOWN!
Can you please make chicken curry on the grill side
Hi ! It seems I can’t find a video on your channel in which you talk about the charcoal tray accessory. Did you already use it ?
looks awesome ..but what do you think about Traeger pellets smokers..im so on the fence :D
I haven't been able to get one in the studio and really work with. They do look cool
Lamb gyros, Picanha, Lebanese sumac rotisserie chicken with toum.
my 665 pro is on the way!
I would like to see steaks grilled every kind of steaks !!!!! Make a new series steaks on a gas grill ❤️
Got excited about lights. Go to Vegas.
Love to see you make Mango Chutney boneless leg of lamb! One of my family favorites.
That sounds good.. I love mango chutney
This grill ist just awesome! :-)
It is really freaking awesome
Nice I love it what type of bacon is that
Nice looking new version of the Napoleon. It is really Prestigious. Beef Ribs
Thanks Phil... it really is
YES beef ribs!!
I think, it s the best Grill that you can buy for money. I have got the 500er Prestige Pro. I use it every 2 day. After two years it looks like a new one. Best Grill Serie, which is being built. Go Napoleon or go home 🤪 Thanks for this nice Video. You do a great job. 😋
I have the Weber Genesis 2 lx 440.... but I wish they would ship these to Australia
Hell yes man i been waiting for u to do this forever lol
A baron of beef on the rotisserie...
Nice Video..Does it come with the Rotisserie Kit?
Really great, enjoy!!!!
You can make a delicious wole angus rib!
Oh yeah... sounds good!
in such a way that you can easily slide the bones out and cut into the meat with a spoon.
I'm thinking about getting the built-in natural gas version of the 665...do you like it?
Did you also get the gas burner?
Zou je op dat monster eens een whole packer brisket willen bereiden?
Staat op de lijst.... zou wel heel gaaf zijn
I would please like you to show how to cook a Texas style Brisket extra juicy thanks and keep up your great videos
Why is the raw chicken above the meat? BTW, love that grill!
Awesome grill right 🤘🔥🤘
A hole turkey for thanksgiving
I've got to have that grill, love at first site 😍
It is epic
You know how to break in a grill!!! Thank you. Try Colorado grill turkey.
What are your thoughts on the Napoleon triumph T495sbnk gas grill? I recently ordered one and since you are familiar with the brand your input would be great.
Make dhal and rice with mutton curry.
insane grill!
That rotisserie definitely wants to grill whole animals.
Definitly 😂💪
Very cool!
Sweet grill
nice Grill there...have you ever make beef wellington?
I wish that I could afford a Napoleon grill 😥
I guess I'll stick to my good ol charcoal grill😭
So I think we need to flex this thing's muscle a bit, so I'd love to perhaps see the following.
Test the rotisserie with some chickens.
Try that dedicated smoker slot on a pork shoulder.
Do a reverse seared ribeye using the sizzler.
Big thumbs up !! What about putting a huge dry aged wagyu prime rib on this huge grill ?!!
Could you do a pig roast please?
Those are nice and expensive 😆, I picked up the gourmet from academy 😆
A neat cook for that monster might be a rotisserie chicken with maple smoke.
congratz :)
Thanks!
I wanna see how the wood chip shoot works on a rotisserie chicken with grilled potatoes and chives and sweet corn 🌽
Try a Crossray and you will probably change your mind about what is best 🙂
Roel, I can't imagine that you can feed this beast with that tiny gas bottle........... Maybe investing into a fixed gasline from the house? When the NAM stops pumping gas from Groningen, you can take-over the business..... ;-)
That'll "get er done" alright 👍
Would love to see a 6-8 kilo stuffed Christmas turkey on that grill.
Add: I forgot... what would I like to see on that stainless firepower amplifier?
What about some nice sea basses either on a salt plank or covered in salt? As a side-dish with that a perfect match would be Zeekraal with sauce hollandaise... of course beaten up by hand. Zeekraal is one of the best vegetables ever... healthy and without chemical agents. Nevertheless it is not common, so that is the reason to give it a try. I do it whenever I can get it. Cooked right to the point, where some texture is still there. Thumbs up, man.
PS... you talked about going big? Yes, man... go for wild boar... brined and on the roti. Or put twenty-something quails on it... nice and small fuckers... I had ostrich in the past, very nice but do not forget to cover that with bacon. And rabbits... or even better a hare... that stuff is always nice on a grill... think about the apple jack recipe of Ted for the rabbits, and a hare will go perfect with a redwine-duckstock-combo-sauce catching up the dripping juices of the meat while it is being grilled by the side-burner... add a little bit of heavy cream, salt, peper, maybe sage... delicious stuff!
Jeez Roel, party BBQ ?
I do love Napoleon grills, always have. I have always however struggled with huge flare ups on Napoleon's specifically. I do find it curious that on your first cook you had huge flames like that already. It would appear that this one thing hasn't necessarily changed. Very nice grill though congratulations!
I would think most grills would struggle managing grease from burgers, sausage patties and bacon
Nice grill Roel! How about a pork loin on the rotisserie?
