    We gave it a shot for cutting trench mesh and penetration bars, etc... 12mm & 16mm most of the time... Medium usage nothing over the top... Obviously concreting wear and tear on tools is expected and our crew respects the tools we use but we don't baby them... The first unit chewed through the rediculously large 12.0ah battery in no time at all... No overloading just standard usage (trade).. had the Milwaukee rep come out to site with a new replacement and we thought "ok cool thanks mate loving the service" and away we went again the next day with the 2nd unit.... Same thing again... Used another brand new battery (after fully charged) and no difference, just depleted in no time... Boss calls again and we get rep out to take the unit back for inspection and will organise another unit asap.. after a week and a half we called to find out what's the go... They organised to meet on site the following day.. they couldn't explain what was going on but understood the frustration and hooked us up with a third unit, some blades and to try out a circular saw for a week or 2 which was good. Customer service was above average no question. The problem was with this tool yet again, so the 3rd and final failed attempt, we returned it for a refund. We have the STIHL TSA230 and have had no issues at all. Battery lasts longer and cuts well. We use a MAKITA DSC191Z for the bulk of our on site bar cutting jobs and it does it better than well with minimal battery drain and quiet operation. That's our experience with this machine and nothing more. We use Milwaukee impact drivers, saws, grinders along with Makita and DeWalt.. they all have there pros and cons. This unit didn't work out for us so we shared our experience for anyone looking for a review on it. Take it or leave it or whatever you want but it's here either way. ..Bottom line for us is
    " it's definately no BEAST SAW"

    Brilliant piece of kit absolutely recommend don’t get me wrong with it being battery powered I was hesitant but I would highly recommend being a roofer the batteries last just as long as petrol or gas powered cut off saws the petrol or gas reference was in the uk we call it petrol in the USA they call it gas

    Trz that cut-off saw would be great for someone to have that only uses it a few times a year then you don't have to worry about the carburetor problems changing the oil you get the picture. This saw would be most useful for work in a basement, since there are no fumes. While it's a shorter runtime than with a gas powered saw, I don't see it being an issue for most indoor jobs. One would also need a wet/dry vac to suck up all the dirty water.

  • @DCmite1
    @DCmite1 Год назад

    the saw is nice and cuts through concrete like butter but the battery lasts no more than 5-10 minutes the you have to stop 90 minutes while the battery charges...basically you need atleat 5 12ah batteries for a medium size task.

  • @chrispasley100
    @chrispasley100 4 года назад +4

    The switch Tank is a waste of money. Why not just hook up to a hose and you won’t have to waste time and keep refilling the switch tank. I know you are going to say that all places aren’t accessible for a hose but 99 percent of the jobs I do have access to a hose and even if they don’t I will use my universal vacuum attachment that hooks to this saw or any saw and it’s actually way better than using water. You don’t have all of the mess that comes with using water. Water gets the block soaked and then you have to lay it and try to strike and make it look good and it just makes it a lot harder when it’s soaking wet. Not to mention the water normally gets your pants all wet no matter where you stand when you are cutting.

    • @ToolReviewZone
      @ToolReviewZone  4 года назад

      Yeah but it can be used for way more than just this. Pesticides, cleaning...we are actually using them at out business to spray all the restrooms with a cleaning formula.

    Not bad works well enough ,but its blade size limits the depth of cut.. the water is not for dust. It to keep the diamonds from melting off the blade.

    • @russellallen5482
      @russellallen5482 4 года назад +1

      Works two ways. One is to keep the heat down on the blade, but also to keep the dust down. There are some older saws that did not have this feature. Look at some of the old road crews that would send dust into the air like a sand storm back on the day

    Literally had to leave the battery flap open to allow more air around battery to get an extra 30 seconds out of a battery and they all hit overheat and once they cooldown they still have 2 bars left but it takes 10 minutes to cool down and 30 minutes to cool down to put back on the charger
