I always love how they use the imagery of smoke and fire in this episode and how it connects all the past flashback scenes to the present The flashbacks of the prison burning the smoke from the burning cabin burning Karen and David’s bodies then the current day scene of Daryl burning the Walkers bodies all connecting to We ain’t ashes and Carol’s comments about being burned away all these details are so great such an Amazing episode.
I think this episode gives both necessary understanding to Carol’s emotional state and also shows Daryl’s unique way of caring for people plus his loyalty to fight for people he loves to the bitter end For me Daryl being a total badass is so really cool but it’s this side of him that makes him my favourite.
Grady Memorial Hospital which is where Beth is can actually be seen in the background at the beginning of the first episode of Season 2 when Rick is giving his final message to Morgan on the radio.
A lot of people got weaker because they couldnt adapt to the Apocalypse. What makes Daryl and Carol interesting to me is they were ALREADY living in their own hells before the world fell. They didnt have to adapt, they just continued surviving. They've both lost their entire families and both have had to earn their groups trust. The bond between Daryl and Carol is my absolute favorite thing the TV Show ever did. Daryl Dixon doesnt exist in the comics and Carol is long dead at this point. Their relationship is entirely TV Show Original and no matter how much i love the comics, they remain my top two favorite characters inntthe entire FRANCHISE, Comics, Novels, Games, Shows and all. Yvette Nicole Brown had actually pointed out in this episode that All of the fires in the flashbacks are associated with Carol and all the fires in the present are associated with Daryl, signifying how the two are constantly being rebirthed in the flames like a Phoenix. This is yet another episode that is 100% TV Show Exclusive. There is no Hospital in the Comics, there are no cops, Daryl and Noah dont exist, and Beth's comic counterpart Billy and Carol both didnt make it off the Prison and they NEVER return back to Atlanta, however in the comics, they did return to an old location Post-Prison. The Group regrouped at Hershel's farm in the comics where they are met by Abraham, Eugene, and Rosita.
Daryl and Carol are both survivors of abuse His and Merle’s dad her husband Ed I think people forget the reason for their incredibly strong bond When they were rescued by her at Terminus and Daryl ran to hug her it was a reinforcement of two people who IRL would never know each other yet in The Zombie Apocalypse quite almost symbolic.
Omg whaaaat😭 I started watching the walking dead reaction from you guys and I thought you guys finished the series so I binged watched and I just caught up😭 I’m so upset hahaha
Wow, you missed Sam (the guy from 4x4) being at Terminus? It shows him clearly, Rick even sees him...he's the first one to be killed. Then, Rick tells Carol about it after they reunite, at the beginning of 5x2. And in 4x4, after Rick and Carol find the girl dead, Carol says, "we should get back, Sam's probably waiting." Then, it shows them back at the house waiting for Sam. I mean, that's a LOT you missed.
Wow, sorry, I assumed you guys were 'Murricans. Granted, I can't really tell the difference in accent, if any, between Canadians and Americans. Anyway, enjoying your reactions!
LOL ok so that car scene was bad. Idk who in production thought they could defy physics, but they only had two vans for the scene. One that falls, and one that lands. They placed dummies in the first one and had it rigged with weight to get it to fall down despite falling forwards, and, well, they severely failed to get the right shot. They didnt have the budget to drop a 3rd car for 1 scene. They took what they had to work with. Lmfao personally i wish they just showed the aftermath of them getting out of the wreckage instead of showing the goofy ahh fall 😂😂😒😒
0:40 the girl died in that episode. the guy died in Terminus next to Glenn and Rick. before Carol saved them.
Thank you!

Yeah
Oh wow, never really thought about that. Thanks!
In the old world, Daryl and Carol were damaged goods! In this crazy new world, they are survivors!
So badass

Yeah
Agreed! Inside his tough exterior is a soft heart.
I love how Daryl took care of the mother and child walkers so Carol wouldn’t have to.
Such a great little detail.
Yeah

Yeah
I love Daryl and Carol’s relationship which also makes me love this slow episode.
Yeah
Carol is by far the best character in TWD just love her.
The guy you’re talking about at the start was the first guy smacked with the bat and throat slit at Terminus

Really enjoyed reading this. Loved the phoenix detail. Thank you!
Carol was only gone from the prison for a day when the Governor attacked...so she didn't have much of an adventure.

Yeah
Keep it up guys Mainly here for the twd reactions but never stop 🙏

In this episode we can see the tank that Rick hid in in the first episode of the first season

Haha I guess so.
Will y’all be doing the spinoffs too after this series?
If there’s enough interest, for sure.
❤

Who's Gregory?
haha -- same actor that plays Noah plays a character named Gregory in Abbott Elementary.
Not sure why you keep calling that kid 'Gregory'.... his name is actually Noah.
Haha yeah. He’s in another show we’re watching where his character’s name is Gregory. Just a mix up.
@@PhilipManzano Ah, I see. Was confusing for a minute. :)
